I had all of my ADR's made and the IL's decided they want to go to and asked me to make their meal reservations. No problem.

I didn't cancel my ADR's and make one with a bigger party because there may be a chance that they might have to cancel at the 45 day mark. (Health issues with BIL) We had this trip planned for almost a year for all of us to go together. I've been booked for over two months and MIL was unsure because of the health issues that arose two months ago but decided to go ahead and book just yesterday. If the issues aren't better by the 45 day mark she will cancel.

So I got them into every restaurant we have an ADR to at the same time or within 5 minutes.

Now when we get there can we ask if they can seat us together? If they don't no big deal but what do you think the chances are that we do get seated all together or at least at tables pretty close by.

These are all for character buffets. :yay:

You can have separate reservations linked together in the system. They remain separate as in different names, but both are noted that you are together. If you cancel one confirmation number, it won't affect the other reservation.

I would call and have them do this. If you get a CM who doesn't know how to do it - keep calling back.

I ran into this for our March 2008 trip and it wasn't an issue. We were seated together each time, even though we had separate ADR numbers and occasionally had a different time.

Good to know. :goodvibes

I was really worried about linking them together since there is a high chance they may need to cancel. I didn't want something to get messed up in the system if they did cancel adn we were linked.

I will call and link them together. Thanks!!!!

This is what we did a couple of times when we had another party join us on vacation. Also, we all arrived together a little earlier than the first res and made it known that we'd like to sit together, if possible. We had no problems getting tables, so good luck.:)

I think this will work depending on the time of year that you go and if free dining is offered. A number of us Disers met up in Sept and all had ressies within 5 - 10 minutes together twice and they could'nt seat us together at all. So it really depends on the time of year and the restaraunt I think.
Good Luck!:goodvibes

So I called already and that CM didn't know what I was talking about. Off to call again and see if I can get someone who knows about linking them.
