I'm typically a happy person. I love to hear about how others get special things and don't feel entitled to it myself. However, I'm beginning to become miffed on being pin-less. Yes, I know it's not required by Disney to bless certain people. Yes, I've done all of the tricks here on the boards. I'm really getting irked that I may be paying the full price when the person next door to me got the 40% off and I hate that I'm feeling this way! I'm not begrudging anyone who was fortunate enough to get it and be able to use it. I'm feeling snubbed by Disney to the point that I'm considering something else. Ok. That's not going to happen, but I WILL stick with my Dolphin resort.

Thank you for listening to me from the pin-less pity pot! I will now go back to being cheerful.

Hi! :wave2: Have you read through all the pin code threads? DH and I almost gave up on a PIN offer that would work for our dates. Then after reading through several of the threads here, and following all the tips, we were the fortunate recipients of a PIN code that we could apply to our trip. DH even gave the green light for a resort upgrade. Please don't give up. Keep checking your email, even the spam folder. Our PIN came in an email that originally appeared to be some sort of advertisement for one of the resorts we had saved on our disneyworld.com account. Then we read the fine print and realized we had received a PIN. We almost deleted that email. :scared1: Don't feel snubbed by Disney. These offers don't go out en masse. We never received PINs until this year (two so far). I know many posters report receiving several PINs throughout the year. My biggest recommendation: clear cookies and allow pop-ups from disneyworld.com. It wasn't until we did the exit survey a few times that we got one. Here's pixie dust for you! pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

PearlySwan - How do you get the exit survey? I got it once and have never gotten it again. I did tell them in my reason that people are getting discounts and I would like one. I'm pretty blunt. I have:
Registered DH
Priced multiple trips on each account
Changed trips on each account
Chatted with a very sweet CM
Check every day or so for spam mails. For once I want spam!
Call about once a week to double check. They keep telling me, "Keep calling back."

What does clearing the cookies do? How long did it take you to get it from the time you really 'applied' yourself?

Thank you!

^^^I'm sending you a PM. Check your PM folder in a few minutes. :)

Put me on the pity boat, too!!!!

I do not have pop ups blocked, and still, I never get the exit survey and I have never been able to tale to a "sweet CM". None of this comes up for me. This summer will be my daughter's last summer at home before she leaves for college, and she wants to go to DisneyWorld.

PLEASE, PLEASE, I NEED A PIN CODE!!!!:wizard:

Do you have a seat for me??? I too have done it all and no luck!:laughing:

Now my DS is using his email to try for us!:wizard: At least he got 2 emails one for a letter head and one to send a DVD to someone! He got so excited both times then he said naw, no luck! I never received either one so he is doing better then me and he is only 10!;)

I enjoy reading all of the pins and where people are using them!!! Please send us one!!!:worship: We need to save a few $$$$ !!! An upgrade would be great if we received a pin! I will be celebrating my 40 b-day!!!!!:rotfl:

Now back to the drawing board!

I have done the surveys, registered on the website, ordered the dvd and everything else but have never received a code. My sister and husband signed up on Disney and both received a PIN code...go figure.

Apparently this tip will only work once you've been to WDW, but every time I'm approached at one of the parks and asked to take the survey, I do. It takes about 10 minutes, but last time we were there I took it twice. When I got home I got two follow-up emails asking me to elaborate further. Took about 15 minutes to go through the surveys. After that I got multiple pin codes, both for WDW and the cruise line.

I've shared what others have shared here with me. Basically go on the disneyworld.com website register and save various offers. We did the steps others shared in other threads for about 2.5 weeks before we got the code. Just so you know we almost gave up. Also, we received several emails from Disney Destinations for various things before the PIN email arrived. So it's not a bad thing to receive mail from Disney Destinations. That means you are on their mailing list. Do clear your browser's cookies. Do allow pop ups from their website. Do fill out the exit survey (if you aren't getting one that means you haven't disabled your pop up blocker). Do chat with the live CMs. Do persist. That's what paid off for us. I really wish everyone who wants one gets one. Here's pixie dust for all: pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Pearly Swan - Thanks for the PM and the advice above. Will definitely start clearing things and hope for the best.

I do take some solace that I'm not alone, though.

Amy1007 -It's our daughter's last trip before college, too. Aren't we lucky that our girls still love to go to Disney with us? Let's just hope we both save a little money in the process.

Teacher31: We have more in common than just our daughters! I, too, am a teacher, and we are from the same state!

I've been sitting on my pinless pot for so long my legs are falling asleep.

DH and I actually planned a Disney trip back in 2001-- had it booked, paid for and everything-- tickets/documents were in our hands!-- and had to cancel because I transferred to another school and we had to move. We didn't get a PIN that trip...

Then, we had a Disney cruise planned for our honeymoon in 04. Didn't get a PIN that trip either (which is fine cause we had to cancel THAT one too...).

And now we're booked for May (and we WILL be going on this one, come Hell or high water!), and I've tried every trick under the sun. No PIN yet, but my fingers are still crossed. I'm convinced that with 5 months between now and our trip date, something is bound to come our way.

I know it's easy to get frustrated and discouraged (especially when it seems like the only people getting PINs are the ones who are already fortunate enough to go every single year!), but try to keep your head up! Keep trying and good luck!

We've been going to Disney World since it opened, and I have never received a code until October. The biggest thing that changed for us was that we saved some trips on the website. I have never done that before because a travel agent has always planned and booked our trips for us. We order the DVD once a year, order the maps, have done surveys at the park, allowed popups and cleared cookies. I think it was saving some trips on the website that finally did it for us because Disney referenced the resort we chose in our 20/30/40 pin code email! I agree----keep trying and it will happen!!!:dance3::yay::woohoo::love::cheer2:

^^^ Totally agree with you here. It just takes a great deal of persistence. For us it turned into a mini part time job. We almost gave up getting one that we could use. Then after reading all the great advise here voila! the PIN email showed up in our inbox. It originally looked like an advertisement for one of the resorts we had in our saved offers. I do hope this thread turns into a super celebration PIN party :dance3: instead of continuing to be the PIN less pity pot. :sad1: Here's moral support for those of you who wish to get one :grouphug: and pixie dust to get one too pixiedust:

Went on the site again this morning and did my ritual (Thanks PearlySwan):
Cleared the cookies
Played with dates/resorts
Clicked on another tab and ...

voila! I got the exit survey. I took your advice and told them that I was pricing some vacations and was hoping for a special of some kind to make it more do-able. It did sound better when I wrote it as opposed to now, though. Anyway, I was just pleased to have gotten the exit survey. And now I wait...

Fingers crossed for all of us!

I've never gotten any special e-mails, post cards, or pins. Yet my neighbor who has gone once since I've known her (six years) gets them. :confused3 And I'm SURE she hasn't done anything special to "up" her chances.

Her mother and sister go to Disney at least once a year and she said that they get the specials ALL the time.

The only thing I've ever gotten was an e-mail offering me a silly little discount on a specific Photopass item.

Yay Teacher 31! I, too, did my morning ritual, but, alas, I did not get the exit survey. I did get a popup to talk to a live CM. I chatted with him for a few minutes, and asked some questions.

Wonder what determines if/when you ge tthe exit survey and/or the live chat with a CM?? :confused3:confused3

I had pulled up my saved vacations and was playing around with them. I then clicked on the tab for Reservations & Tickets. I did make sure that my pop-up blocker was disabled prior to going on the site, too. Who knows if this works, but it's worth the 10 minutes a day or so. We shall see.
