John and I just got back from our mid tour. We had a great time being home in Tampa...but it was so busy. Our only down time, if you can call it that, was the four days we spent in Orlando! I'm going to make a trip report of all four days and put it in that section, but I thought I'd put the report of the Site Visit in here...along with a bunch of pictures. Though forgive me if I mis-lable them. I can't remember exactly what everything was.

Tuesday August 23rd
Site Visit 9am

We all (John, my mom, my little sister Nikki, and I) woke up bright and early this day as we had a 9am appt with Heidi of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings. We were at Franks by 8:30 and we looked around at all the stuff in there and then looked through the wedding albums. They are Very nicely done.

Heidi and her assistant Amy called us in to their office for the initial consultation. We talked about a ton of things and they gave us a packet of info. Now, going into this John was a typical guy with the “WHY do we have to do this??” attitude. About halfway through our talk Heidi was talking about the different things we could do for music other than a DJ and mentioned a “Jimmy Buffet guitarist”. I think that was all John needed to hear. He perked Right up when he heard that. :rotfl2: We talked about the different areas for ceremonies and receptions.

First stop was right next door at the Wedding Pavilion. I’d always thought that I’d want to do it there, but definitely had an open mind as I’d never even Seen any of the other places. The Pavilion was Gorgeous and from the alter there’s a view of the Castle! They showed us that there are cameras mounted on the walls that are controlled from a different room. That way the photographer can be on the floor with you and videographer is out of the way with Many camera angles at his disposal.

Next we headed to the Boardwalk. It is the cutest place I’ve ever seen!!

Sea Breeze Point Gazebo is situated on the end of the Boardwalk, right on the water. John and I both fell in love with it. It’s big so all the guests can sit under it and escape the morning sun and just really really “us”.

Then they took us over to the Beach Club and showed us some reception areas (really nice place) and then on to the Yacht Club where they showed us the more reception areas and the smaller gazebo (they are doing some construction).

In one of them…I Believe the Beach Club, we were shown “Ariel’s”. It’s really hard to explain, but we Loved it. Right outside the door is “Martha’s Vineyard” which is a bar area. When you enter “Ariel’s” you first see a large fish tank. It’s one big room with three levels and is decorated with hanging fish (I have pictures…looks better than it sounds) and such.

Since we had decided on the ceremony and reception locals then we just needed to decide on times. So, as of now the ceremony will be at 11am on September 11th 2006 at Sea Breeze Point Gazebo and the reception will be at (I believe) 1pm at Ariel’s.

One other thing to note. We saw a bunch of ballrooms (I have some pictures) and this castle. It was set up in the hallway but Heidi said that they use it a lot ofor weddings. it's So cute!

I was Also told that Part II of the Wishbook should be up in about a week. I'm not sure if that part is only for people who have booked or if everyone can use it though. Currently for some reason I can't even get into the Wishbook at ALL!!

Thanks for the pics and the report!!

I am glad to hear how much you liked Sea Breeze Point because that's where I'm getting married in just about 22 days!!! I have never been to Disney so I have never actually seen any of the places. Somehow knowing that you've been there and seen all the options and STILL selected Sea Breeze Point makes me feel good about the location!

Ariels looks beautiful and I know lots of other brides have selected that location for receptions...so I know you'll love that too!

And that castle is AWESOME!!!

Thanks again for sharing this!!!

Hi! Congrats on your wedding!! :cheer2: That's so Soon!! I bet you are so excited! Please post a trip report of everything when you get back!! And then with pictures once they come in! I can't wait to see the Gazebo in action. It really is Stunning!!! It really stole my heart. I'd always been set on the Pavilion...until I saw Sea Breeze Point Gazebo!

So...you are getting married on...September 19th (ooops...just saw your ticker...the 20th! I was close.)?? Am I right? We are getting married next year on the 11th. Let me know how the weather is!

Where are you having your reception??

Have fun on your big day!!

Hi! Yes, I'm getting excited...although I think I'm more excited about the trip to Disney than anything else! :rotfl:

I'm planning on taking a notebook to do a journal every evening...so I can write up a decent trip report.

We're getting married on the 20th at 11 am (same time as you!) so hopefully the pics we get will give you an idea of the lighting and stuff (hoping for beautiful sunny days!!). And I'll definitely let you know how the weather is...I was worried about doing it too much later because it will probably be hot! But at 11 am it shouldn't be too bad!

We're not doing a reception (just the cake and champagne thing with the intimate). It's really just going to be us and a friend from work and her DH. We'll have dinner later at California Grill.

Thanks for the warm wishes!!!

Lol...I'm probably most excited about getting to spend so much time in Disney then too!! Of course, I am...as I'm sure you are...excited about all the other festivities!!

Yep, that's ONE of the many reasons I liked that spot...because it's All shaded!! (And right on the water...nice breeze). 11am will be warm, but it's hottest around 2 so I think we'll both be just fine!

I can't WAIT to hear all about it!! That's a great idea...to bring a journal!!

If you want to see the "gazebo in action" try going to this site:

http://www.stvsweddings.com/gallery/gallwed.htm

scroll through the samples and find the ones that were done at Sea Breeze Point....DH2B and I cried when we watched some of them!!!

Someone shared this site with me awhile ago and I am so grateful...I hope you like it! :sunny:

Thanks!! I'll have to remember to try tomorrow morning! The download says about an hour and I go home soon!! Lol. I can't wait to see!!!

thanks for sharing, i remember our site visit it was so fun to start the ball rolling. were having our reception at ariels this march & are so excited, it really is beautiful like you said.

best of luck with your plans ladies!

Thanks for sharing. It gave me a better idea how each site look like.

I notice that only people who hold their ceremony in Pavilion invite Mickey and Minnie for cake cutting. Are the Disney characters restricted for some sites only? I really want to see Mickey and Minnie in my intimate wedding.

Thanks for any advice!

Mickey and Minnie are not restricted to certain sites...it just costs about $1300 to have them both at your reception.
