Site requests

Since I can't find the search option anymore, I need to ask my question instead of searching!
Anyhow... we always request a loop (actually site) when we make our reservations. But I remember reading about some people calling about site requests. Are we better off to call a few days before we arrive or is our request on our reservation enough? We are going for a week this time and are really hoping to get our favorite site. If so, what is the number and how far in advance should we call?

We always note our on our ressie and then send a fax about 3-4 days prior. That way it gets into the hands of the person assigning sites (which isn't done much earlier than that).

Seems to help to note what you're looking for overall, vs just a straight loop/site request. In our case that tends to be "close to dog park/walk".

There's a standard fax request that I'm sure someone here will post (sorry, can't find it at the moment)

I faxed on Monday for a Friday arrival and it worked for us. I used a letter similar to Clkelley in the attached link. Good luck.
