Sister Wives

now see, they've claimed that but i believe it was last season when they found out some of their children really DIDN'T want to live as polygamists they weren't too happy. i mean it was even complete with a Robyn ugly cry about how "you raise your children to do what's right and then you find out they don't want to live this life" or something along those lines.

How many generations in Robyn's family have been involved in polygamy? Can't help thinking the first generation to try it caused a lot of grief for the parents who raised them monogamously to do what's right, then found out they didn't want to live that life.

Or if/when they splintered off the mainstream LDS and joined the FLDS -- those parents must have been quite upset as well.

How long is an episode of Sister Wives? Last week my DVR taped a half hour episode but it didn't seem like it was over when it stopped recording.

last week's episode was only a half hour. i believe tonight's is an hour long, but it's just a question and answer episode.

I liked how the kids called Kody out for his tight pants. Such a double standard, the girls have to be so careful how they dress but there is apparently no standard for the boys. Same with the discussion on Purity last week. There seems to be no standard for the boys but the girls have to be so strictly "regulated" for lack of a better term.

i agree! i'm surprised they didn't say "hey if we can't wear tight things, you shouldn't be able to!" no one wants to see him wearing tight pants, anyway.

and i loved Robyn's question about "well what would you think of a girl who was walking around in shorts with her butt hanging out?" to the boys! what did she THINK their answer was going to be?? THEY'RE BOYS! :lmao:

i also get bored by the q&a episodes. honestly, i think i'd rather hear the teens talk than the adults at this point.

anyone see next week's preview? apparently Meri is going to finally answer the question about the baby. altho they'll probably drag it out for another 3 episodes...or even thru next season!

i can't believe after all of that stress and whatnot that Kody put Meri thru with "give me an answer! I'M still going to have kids whether you want to or not!" and then HE turns around and tells her he doesn't want more kids with her!! and she didn't even second guess or question him about it! i seriously wanted to slap him thru the tv when he told her that.

I know. I just watched that this morning and I am stunned and utterly disgusted.

I agree. However, it seemed scripted. Clearly she didn't really want another kid. She just doesn't want to be an odd-wife-out! He is ridiculous. If God gives us a child...ok. If He doesn't, no worries for me. I'll have more with Robin. He gave her months to decide and then HE decides? I wanted to strangle him.

Then to top it off they seal their "no agreement" with a kiss?

Bets on when Robyn will announce her next pregnancy? I say it will be this seasons "cliffhanger".

i mean, HE'S the one who brought it up in the first place. then suddenly he's changed his mind and then brings their religion into it? talk about rubbing salt into the wound.

i really want Robyn to end up saying "no i'm done with kids" and then he'd be screwed since neither Christine nor Janelle want any more kids...that would really be great karma on him! i doubt she'd do that tho :(

I don't know if it were the editing or if I just were not paying close attention to Kody when he was speaking (I do tend to drift when he speaks ;)), but during that entire scene I was like, whaaat?! ... So he would have a baby with Meri if it happens naturally, however, he doesn't want to do IVF because it's not in God's plan? ... But it's Meri's body and it's her decision and he will support the baby "as much as he can" but he's not supporting the IVF? ... But let them sleep on the decision some more? ... WTH? :confused3 ... I think Meri was just as confused and/or heartbroken as well ... But did she really not know his feelings/decision before they filmed that scene together? :confused3 ... I can't imagine being blindsided like that in front of tv cameras, no less ...

And then when Meri told Robyn that she was really ready to say YES to the IVF and Kody said NO, I really felt sad for her and think she really didn't know he was going to say NO ... All I can say is that Kody is a real keeper, isn't he? :thumbsup2 ;)

when I watched that last night...I was thinking he is being so horrible to her...I wished that she would file for a divorce and leave the idiot...but noooooooo they hug and love like it wasnt a slap in the face...something was edited out ..had to be...cause She was just sitting there in awe of this idiot of a man...or what they call a man..
I called him a few names while watching it but I dont want someone to give me an infraction.. :lmao:

What was with the ceremony of burning the duffle bag? I mean he is still gonna have to travel from house to house, just like before only now he can walk between houses instead of having to drive.

Why didn't he just leave stuff at each house so when he "visits" he has it and doesn't need a "bag"

I've been watching the show since the beginning, and for the first time I had tears for Meri. All this time I thought to myself, well if she really wanted another child she would be jumping at the chance, but then when i saw her talking to Robyn and how sad she was, well my heart was breaking for her.

Of course none of us know how much is scripted, but, Meri was said and I feel bad for her.
