My subscription ends tomorrow so I called them on Friday with no luck on getting a deal. I told my son I would be canceling it and not renewing until they sent me a deal (he's the one who listens to it). So I called today and said I wanted to cancel. I did not ask for a deal but she offered me the same deal I just had -five months for 30. I just wanted to let people know that they should just call and cancel instead if calling a few times to try and get a deal. I'm so tired of praying their games.

I canceled ours in July. Last week an offer for $25 for six months came in the mail and I signed up. I've marked my calendar to cancel again in late February before they can automatically renew me at the higher price.

Oooh...Do I need a code or anything? DH bought me a Sirius last month and just set it up for the monthly $15 payment. Seems first month is only .50 cents, but i would very much enjoy a discount. We have the family program plan.

I also called and said I want to cancel and they did offer me a deal. I just wish they would give everyone a lower price to start so we don't have play the stupid game.

The way it works is that you call customer service and ask if the could do better. They say no and then you call again the next day and so on and so on until
They give you a deal. When you cancel they will start to mail you deals. My father just received something like 90 for the year. I just deigned up for 25 for 5 months. These are about the deals currently. You need to be willing to call over and over again or just cancel and see if they will give you a deal but then you do have to remember to call when contract expires. You can do better than 15 a month.

A few days before your subscription expires, call and cancel. The very next day, your phone will ring off the hook with deals, guarantee it.

I gave up. I just can't stand having to play the game every few months. Give everyone the same Price options instead of "negotiating" every few months. love the station...HATE the "service". No Sirrius XM for me!!

Also hated receiving multiple notices in the mail but when i wanted to have a bill mailed; they wanted to charge me extra....no way I wanted to give them a credit card number!!!

Everybody else is getting a deal and I just got an increase. I have had XM for about 10 years and they have bumped up the price 2x in the last few months. I pay $50 every 3 months. Getting ready to cancel. They brag about no commercials but seems like they are playing almost the same amount as local stations. I do love Old Time Radio.

I didn't have the time or patience to jack with them every few months either so I do a yearly subscription for $79. It is more than the every 5 or 6 months but I don't have to worry about trying to mess with them so often or whatknot and still breaks down decent rate for us.

this may sound controversial but I kept getting deals in the mail on my new car so I called to take advantage. They said the dealer was still paying for it and I didn't need to do anything. The dealer never told me how long they were paying for it so I'm just waiting until it gets turned off.

It comes with a lot of cars for three or six months. That's how I got hooked. I like having cable news on long trips.

I tried doing that and they told me there was no such deal....yah right. I told them I just wanted the same deal other people got. They wanted to know "what people"..... Forget it . That's when I decided it wasn't worth the grief! Can't stand it when customer "service" lies.

I do the annual "call to cancel" game every May. I always tell them my car has a couple online radio apps built in and it is cheaper to stream music using my phone than to pay their price. This year the lady says "we keep hearing that, so I can offer you..." They know their pricing model is not sustainable, but I suspect either their costs are too high, or some stubborn leadership refuses to admit that the service does not demand a premium price.

I'll be making my cancellation call at the end of the week. Five months went fast.

I canceled about a year ago...and I don't miss it at all:thumbsup2 I just got a '2 free weeks' notice in the mail...then an offer for 20.00 for 5 months after that.....so I turned it back to the station XM to see what was playing..... let's see....since last year, the ONE station I actually enjoyed is now gone..... and there are still WAY too many commercials playing for a paid service. no thanks- that 'free 2 weeks' just reminded me how little the service is worth to me. free radio has the same or better choices every day.

I play the same game every 5 or 6 months. The last 3 times it was 5 months for $25. I called on my renewal date, ask what my renewal rate is. Last time they said 4 months for $40. I said I'm not paying more than $5 a month and if they can't give me that, cancel. I'm not playing around. I only occasionally listen to it when I'm surfing the channels, it's not worth more than $5 a month.

The station may have been changed to a different number, not removed. I love our Sirius/XM radio and there is no way free radio here has better choices.

Actually, my father's favorite channel, POPS, was removed. Now it's only available online.

There are days I wish I could drop XM, but since I only get two stations where I live, and neither plays much music that I actually enjoy, and I don't have good enough cell coverage to stream music, my options are limited.
