Sirius

Since Hell hasn't frozen over yet, we won't be going back to them! Per my last phone conversation with them, I said I would be back when hell froze over!

I've got another warning for you. Check and be sure your subscription really is up. After much going around, they gave me a deal if I subscribed for 3 years, so I did and I paid for it. For me it was worth it not to have to deal with them for a full 3 years. 6 months later I get an invoice telling me my subscription is up and requesting payment for the next year. DH would have just written them a check and thrown it in the envelope. As for me, something was nagging in the back of my head that I might have gotten a long subscription which could not possibly be up and had already paid so I looked and discovered we absolutely had and they had cashed the check. (Not only that, but if I had paid for just a year, it absolutely would not have been up either). When I called, they didn't exactly seem surprised although they were very nice, apologized and "fixed it"- which involved about a 15 minute phone call and hold time waiting for the fix. Maybe I am being too suspicious, but I highly suspect that they send these invoices out when subscriptions aren't up knowing that some people will just pay them without paying attention to the fact that they have already paid for the service. So, when they do invoice you, but sure that your subscription time is actually up!

I have had magazine subscriptions doing the same thing.

I didn't have the time or patience to jack with them every few months either so I do a yearly subscription for $79. It is more than the every 5 or 6 months but I don't have to worry about trying to mess with them so often or whatknot and still breaks down decent rate for us.

I'm near the end of a 6 mth trial on our new Explorer. Between here and the Ford message boards, Sirius sounds like a pain in the neck company to deal with. Lovemygoofy, if I can get your rate I'll take it. Honestly, I wish they would just offer a no hassle rate---doesn't have to be the cheapest. Just don't try to jack me every year, kwim?

I just got charged for the next3 months. Time to call and cancel. This time, I might actually go through with it, I'm getting tired of the snow sound under trees and bridges. Thinking about Pandora through my Bluetooth.

We received the service for 3 months when we bought our new car in mid-February, so they called DH in late May to let him know the trial period was expiring, and gave him several options, but none were as good as these deals, which he told them, but they wouldn't match these prices, so he let it expire.

Sure enough, they called last week and offered 6 months for $28.11 including taxes and fees, and I made sure to get them to say on their recorded line that they would not be storing our credit card information, and they were only authorized to charge this one purchase for this six month period and absolutely no automatic renewals, and their rep said, no, of course we would not do that.

we'll see.....

Been playing this game for 18 months now. I called in June to tell them I'm not renewing and it finally got to 24 for 6 months after about 15 minutes. I still declined as I don't miss it and just find myself constantly changing stations to find something I like. I still get calls about once a week with offers, best has been .99 cents a month. Still declined.

When hubby called to cancel my account they didn't offer any deal. That is ok though we still have my husband's account and internet streaming. I can't imagine canceling it totally haha. Makes long trips very bearable.

By giving them your credit card number, you consented to have the card automatically charged for renewal. That is part of their TOS.

That's not true. You can tell them to only use it that one time and they will. They have done that before for me
