Hi, everyone -- first-time poster. I did a one-day park-to-park solo trip last Thursday, and I might post a proper trip report in the appropriate forum. But, I wanted to post here about my single rider line experience, since I don't often see specific info about those wait times.
In short: single rider lines are the bomb. Even on a packed mid-July day, they (for the most part) flew by. If you're a solo traveler (or are okay splitting up your party), and all of the single rider lines are open and functioning properly, I don't see where you'd need an Express Pass.
Here are my single rider wait times for the day, compared with the posted standby times. Note: I can't handle the big coasters, so I didn't do Hulk, RRR, or Velocicoaster, and there are a couple of other rides with single rider lines that I didn't do. Also, there's various stuff I did without single rider, but that's for another post.
Transformers: walk-on (posted time: 30 minutes)
Mummy: walk-on (posted time: 35 minutes)
Mummy re-ride later on: 15 minutes (posted time: 85 minutes)
Spider-Man: 15 minutes (posted time: 45 minutes)
Jurassic Park: 12 minutes (posted time: 55 minutes)
Forbidden Journey: 7 minutes (posted time: 45 minutes)
Kong: 20 minutes (posted time: 60 minutes)
Transformers: walk-on (posted time: 45 minutes)
Gringotts: 35 minutes (posted time: 75 minutes)
A few notes/observations:
1) As you can see, the only real lengthy single rider wait I had was on Gringotts, but it was still only half of the posted time. Also, this was near the end of the day, and I'd ridden Gringotts twice in a row at rope drop (regular line - walk-on both times), so I wasn't fazed.
2) My one disappointment was when I went to re-ride Spider-Man around 6:00 PM (my original ride was around 2:00), the single rider line was closed.
3) A few days before my trip, I noticed the app had stopped listing Spider-Man and Transformers as single rider options, and they're *still* not listed as such. But, single rider was available for both (except for my attempted Spider-Man re-ride, as mentioned above).
4) Also, the app never lists Jurassic Park and Kong as single rider, but both were open. However, I had to specifically ask the team members if they were open, since there wasn't any single rider signage at the entrance for either one.
Anyhow, I hope this info might be interesting and/or valuable!
