At LONG last, my copy of Simon's book has arrived from Amazon. I can now settle down for a nice read.

hmmm, says "4 to 6 week despatch" for me ????

Now do I cancel it and go into town and get it...strangely reminiscent of last year, or do I just wait.

Amazon can be really annoying....theres something seriously wrong with their pre-order system.

I had a quick look last night, some nice new bits and some old bits and somethings that I (jmho) do not agree with, one of which is:-

Top Ten Romantic Restaurants, Citricos doesn't make it, but California Grill does. Having been to both recently, although California Grill is lovely it is not that romantic, too many kids.

WOW i have been in waterstones everyweek since the book was supposed to be on sale. I guess its another trip into to town today:Pinkbounc

...what are the main differences from last year then? And, do you hardened experts bother to buy new guides every year as part of the WDW experience?.. I must admit I haven't bought either Simon's or the Unofficial Guide for two years now... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend both to first timers though...

Mark we found exactly the opposite :) Loads of screaming kids at Citrico's when we were there :)

Got mine from Amazon (arrived while I was away over the past 3 days). I had ordered it ages ago and complained (via email) to them when it didn't arrive as promised a few weeks ago. they apologised and sent me a voucher as compensation for the delay. I would email them about your order Tron.

It is strange how that happens isn't Kaylee, typical!!

It is my one big bug bear with Disney, yes Disney is aimed at families, but they want adults to go to. So why don't they make some of the 'good restaurants' California Grill, Citricos etc Adults (over 16's) after 8.00pm, the families can still enjoy the restaurant and so can adult only groups.

While we were having our romantic meal at Citricos a family came in (and to be fair their girls were angels) at 9.30pm. The restaurant was quiet but the host sat them next to us, the young girl just fell asleep in her chair, and the older one looked so tired.

1) Why sit a family next to a romantic couple?

2) Why allow young families in the restaurant at that time at all?

3) Are the parents being fair on their kids?

Luckily because the kids were well behaved it did not impact badly on our night. (we were lucky it was not one of those families that let their kids leave their seats and explore!)
