If a Silver Castaway Club Status member is in the same cabin with 3 first timers, will the 3 first timers get the same access to activity booking, check in date, PAT etc as the Silver member?

Yes, the Castaway Club for booking/boarding for everyone in the room is the level of the person in the room with the highest level. This applies even if the person with the highest level is a child.

This is why a family who has previously cruised who is traveling, for instance, with a grandparent who is a first-time cruiser might book someone from their room into the grandparent's room so that everyone can book activities together.

You're saying the newbies don't get to book activities and do check in when the silver member does? Other's are reporting differently.

Booking is based on status in the room. If someone in the room has Silver status everyone in the room can book activities/reservations when it opens for Silver status. The gifts are one per room. I recently went on my first cruise. The person I was traveling with had Silver status, so she got a lanyard and a tote bag. It was my first cruise so I did not get them. I hope this helps.

How about if the person who booked the room is Silver and the rest of the people staying in the room, second and third guest are Platinum. Does that give everyone in the room the Platinum benefits for booking things like Palo Brunch or tastings?

Thank you, I was clear on the gift situation just wanted to confirm the newbies could book when silver can. I was confused by pachy25s answer of “nope”. Wasn’t sure what the “nope” was in reference to. The gifts are definitely not a concern and we have plenty of old lanyards to share .

Good question!

Yes. If one guest in the room is Platinum, everyone in the room can book excursions, tastings, etc. at the Platinum booking date, and everyone 18 or older in the room can get a complimentary dinner (for prix fixe, or a credit for a la carte) at Palo or Palo Steakhouse.

No way! So it’s not perk for only platinum but entire room gets Palo even if non-castaway or silver?
Okay so my head does weird things and came up with this question.
So if the kid is platinum in grandma’s room…
Grandma can go to free Palo and the kid can’t because too young?
I’ve had far too many concussions!

Unless the child is 18, I don't think they can make a Palo reservation. Don't know for sure, though.

Right, the other people in the room get perks as platinum. Like check in and earlier choices of adventures.
My ? was that Palo reservation could be FREE for the entire room with one member as platinum. Even though the others were silver.
My logic says they can make the reservation, but they can’t get it for free. Only the platinum people get one free meal. So when the grandma scenario she can make the reservation early, but she can’t get it free.

My daughter will be platinum in two more weeks. Her fiancé will first be Silver on their next cruise after whenever they decide to do that. I just didn’t think that they would give him a platinum meal.
