Would you schedule your vacation around the full moon? I love looking at the moon and I was hoping to get photos of the parks with the moon. I am planning a trip for after Thanksgiving and the week after that is a full moon. It is also MouseFest. If you face the castle what direction is that?

Silly me,
Kim

With or without the moon, that's a great week to be at WDW. Low crowds and WDW in full Christmas mode. Great weather too.

Just ask at Guess services they might be able to get you a FULL MOON over the castle on any given night. :lmao:

If you really want pictures of the parks with the moon, by all means schedule your vacation for that time. It's your vacation, after all! :thumbsup2

That's not a silly reason at all, I've heard a LOT more "silly" reasons to go to WDW before...

Also...There's no such thing as "silly questions," he he. :rotfl:

Unlike the sun, the moon appears in all different parts of the sky. In other words, it won't realiably be in the same frame (when taking a photo) as Cinderella Castle all year. I'm sure someone knows where it will rise and set every day for the next 50 years, but that someone isn't me.

Even though I've never done it, you might be MUCH better off achieving your effect using "digital darkroom" techniques. Just get a fab pic of the full moon anywhere in the world, then place it into your favorite castle pic, and voila! Cheating by my standards, but it would probably look beautiful.

Also, you may want to ask this question on the photography board.

GOOD LUCK!

I know that the full moon is technically not supposed to alter human behavior, but I see it all the time. As long as you don't mind fighting at the MK over your parade spot, getting pushed in line at Soarin' over your line spot, not finding a space to eat your counter service food because of all the people with outside food, etc, you should be fine. :lmao:
