Silly monorail question

Do I have to exit the monorail when it arrives at Epcot or MK, or can I just stay on and ride around again?
Sounds weird I know, but I'm having breakfast at Kona Cafe one morning with DS 2 :earsboy: , and since DH will be busy at a conference that day, we won't be hitting the parks, so I was thinking of taking DS on a monorail ride. He loves trains, and I think he will really enjoy it. I was just wondering if it's a problem for us to ride it around a few times. :confused3
TIA

We used to do a monorail ride on our "first night" when we were vacationing at WDW. No one pays attention to where you get on or off.

Thanks so much for the quick reply! That's what I thought, but just wanted to check before I got there!

I would try to get a cab ride on one trip. You may have to wait for a couple monorails, and you won't get to stay on continually. I'd go for a cab ride from the TTC to Epcot, that way you get to loop through Epcot. Just get out of the cab when you get to the Epcot station, and re-board in back.

Theoretically, transportation is for those staying onsite or holding valid ticket media, and they do occasionally check for that.

Sorry, I should have said that I am staying onsite (Coronado Springs), so that shouldn't be a problem. Was that why you recommended I take a cab? I'll already be at the Poly for breakfast and just thought we might take the monorail from there and do the Epcot loop a couple of times. I just wanted to see if I would have to get off when we got to Epcot and go all the way around to get back on for a return trip.

No... sorry... terminology confusion!... I meant take a ride in the cockpit (or cab) of the monorail where the driver is. The cab will hold 4 people in addition to the monorail driver. If your DS loves trains... he'll love being in the front, and the best view is going from the TTC to Epcot, since the track goes through EPCOT around Spaceship Earth before pulling into the EPCOT station. Our boys loved their first trip to Disney, but the thing they still talk about almost a year later is the monorail. In fact, they pretend our van is a monorail and decide which color it is whenever we drive anywhere!

Take the resort monorail from the Poly to the TTC, get off go down the ramp and back up the EPCOT ramp. When you get to the top of the ramp ask the cast member there if you can ride "up front". They may tell you there's already X people in front of you or you may be able to get the front on the next monorail. Then you can decide if you want to wait for the front. If you do get up front going from the TTC to EPCOT, you'll most likely have to get out of the front (cab) and get in the regular seating area of the monorail, since there could likely be people waiting to get up front at the EPCOT station.

Sorry for the confusion!

I should have known better! My husband works in the train industry, I should know what a cab is. He will be so disappointed in me! That's what I get for trynig to read posts with a 2 year old pulling on my leg!
Thanks for the suggestion! I hadn't thought about riding up front. That sounds like a lot of fun!! Thanks again! :)

Riding in the front is really fun for the kids (and the adults). Just ask the conductor and he will lead you to where you need to go.
