I had thought of having my bouquet preserved, but some DIS brides mentioned they were thinking of going with silks . . . :bride:

I'd love to hear about anyone's experience (positive or not so positive) with Disney Floral & silks, and of course pictures are always appreciated!

TIA :goodvibes

Been there, did that and don't regret it. You can see part of my bouquet in my siggie picture. I can post more when I get home if you'd like, just let me know.

Very cost effective, convenient and looked great !

The only part I missed was the smell of fresh flowers. But for some, this is also a positive (if they are allergic).

I also commented on another thread this morning under preserving bouquets.

Thanks Swmhc! I'd love to see pics if it's not a hassle for you :flower3:

It was actually your post in my previous thread about flower preservation that made me ask the new question!

Thanks again & have a great day!

I'm using a fake bouquet I got off the Internet for $20 for our Magic Kingdom photos. I think it looks great!

That is a beautiful bouquet lurkyloo - do you mind if I ask you where you found it?

Hi! I got it from this website

http://www.save-on-crafts.com/peony2.html

I don't think it's silk, what with it being $20 and all, but you won't be able to tell in pictures! ;)

One thing to know - it's not huge. It's probably 8 inches in diameter? So if you want huge, you might try the fake flower websites that sell them in different sizes, like this one:

They also have "real-touch" bouquets with rubberized flowers that feel really real!

"Not huge" is just what I'm lookin' for! Thanks for all of the info - I really appreciate it!

Your big day is coming up so quickly - I hope that things are going well for you! :bride:

How sweet - thank you! :goodvibes

Okay, finally home for the night and family is fed (still need to clean up the kitchen though)!

Here are a couple of shots of my bouquet. I did have rose petals on the sand ceremony table and cake table. Those had to be real petals.

If you need others, let me know ! Randy took over 800 photos so I know there are more on my pc.

Thank you so much Swmhc for posting those pictures - your bouquet is absolutely beautiful!

Did Disney Floral make your bouquet? If they did, do you mind if I ask if it was a pleasant experience? The reason I ask is that I think I want to use tulips, and most of the silk ones I've seen have been sort of fake looking. I'm hoping that it's easy to work with DFTW Floral and that they have a good "source" for quality silks.

Thanks again! :flower3:

Thanks ! Glad you liked them. Yes, I had Rosie with Disney floral. I had my phone conference with her and then emailed her some pictures. She was great to work with. As several brides have posted, it sometimes takes a while to get your BEO, but everything was just as I requested. The only issue I had with the flowers is I only wanted ivory accents with primary floral in colors, but I don't think I was clear enough on that. So with that in mind (as with cake and photography) just be very specific. I just like that my flowers look as good today as the day I said "I do."

That is exactly what I'm hoping for! pixiedust:

Thank you so much for all of your help! I'm 10 months out today, so I know I can't even begin to do too much "officially" for another two months (Escape at WP) but when the time comes, I feel so much better prepared thanks to your info!

Any time. That is what the Dis is all about. I don't frequent here as much as I would like. So if you have any questions that I don't answer within a day or two, just pm me !

Thank you both alauniira & princessdisneybelle for sharing those pictures - they are both gorgeous boquets! I'm afraid that I'm not talented (or patient!) enough to try to make them myself, but I admire both of your handiworks!

Thanks again! :goodvibes

I ordered my silk flowers from Disney Floral. Orginally I was going to go with fresh ones until I started to think about my sister who suffers terribly with Hay Fever. Rosie from Disney Floral did a fantastic job. We had a bouquet, three button holes, a rose on pin for my mom and wrist rose for my sister. I think the price was an extra $75.00. Which cost so much less than having them preserved and never being able to hold them again.

I recieved them when I was doing the MK photo session in the morning. I was going have a go at the woman who delivered them as they looked so real.

Bringing them back to England was nice and easy and they retained their shape.

Have a look at my trip report for pictures.

Thanks so much for the info pink_tink8i8 & pepples22! I'm still not sure what I'm going to do, but I love seeing what other DIS brides have done!

Thank you to everyone who's posted - I really appreciate it! :flower3:
