Silhouettes at MK?

When my DH and I went to WDW on our honeymoon (uh, 1996!) we had our silhouettes done at Magic Kingdom (I believe it was on Main Street, but can't recall). Can anyone tell me if they still do this? We'd like to do this on our trip this year and compare our first year with our tenth year!

Yep, they still do this. I don't know about Main Street, but I had my son's done in front of the Hall of Presidents. The guy did a fabulous job!! It's going to be tradition now to get one done every year.

We have had Jan over by the Hall of Presidents do them every trip. She signs them and dates them for us. She does an awesome job and told me she is now illustrating children's books too!

Thanks, this is great news! DH and I thought it would be fun to compare the two, and I really want to get one of DS. I don't suppose you recall how much they cost? I have no idea what we paid back then!!!!

We had the kids done again last April and she was still on one of the little streets off of Main Street. She really does a wonderful job.

We just got ours done in Dec on the side of the Xmas shop in Liberty Square (right next to the bridge by the castle) - the CM there did an excellent job. They were still $7.- for two silhouettes - they also have frames for sale, but we always get our unframed. I have been getting silhouettes done of my 3 kids (and now my grandkids) for over 25 years. I love the way they change from trip to trip and we've always let them wear whatever hat, etc. they were into (remember the backwards baseball caps) at the time- and of course the hairstyles always give us a giggle. CM this year even did one with my Mickey Christmas ears on - it came out great. On the rare trip that I get DH to come along, we get a double-headed silhouette done of us so that some day, when the kids are dividing up the collection and taking their own silhouettes, they can each have one of us together, too. I think these are my favorite souvenirs over the years!

I know they do these on the alley just off of Uptown Jewlers. I don't know the prices, however.

They also do this at Downtown Disney, in the Marketplace. Kathy has been doing them there for years, as has her boss, I forget his name (I usually see her when I am there). I know they charge by the head, so the more people, the higher the cost. I have a couple of these myself and they make a great souvie!

We missed this when we were there in April. We will have to get this done next time. Thanks for the pricing info. I was going to ask about that.
