I won't say it's official yet, because I am superstitious that way. So, we finally got our 200 pt. contracts signed and notarized, I've already made 2 reservations, :lmao:, and we've returned them to the mouse. Will there be any further communication, or do we just watch the mail for our permament membership cards???? Is that all we should be expecting, or more paperwork??

If you don't already have your membership cards, you will be getting them in the mail -- temporary ones first, and then the blue plastic one. If you have your membership number, you can register yourself for the DVCMEMBER.COM web site and start browsing around.

You will probably get a call from Quality Assurance letting you know that they received your signed documents and then another call to tell you that your contracts have "closed". :thumbsup2 Then you will get some of the closing documents back, signed by Disney for your records.

From then on, beware of addon-itis! You will catch the bug quickly! Lock up your checkbook!!!

Congratulations, Welcome Home, and enjoy your membership!

You will receive your "Approved Request for Financing" letter, then your copies of the executed documents. After that you will receive your copy of the recorded documents and your dues statement. That should be it.

How long after closing does these come? Also does anyone know when the dues statements for BLT will be coming out. Finally, will associates members get membership cards as well? Thanks.

We bought BLT as new members in May and then in June realized 160 pts were not enough. So we did an add on (BLT) of 50 pts. We got early addonitis. At no time did QA call us. We called them to go over the contract(s) as stated in the documents we got for signing. We emailed our guide, who replied back confirming the signed documents were received.

OMG....you sound like me. Bought 160, realized that is not enough, and added 50, then another 50....now I have to stop or I will be bankrupt! (Just kidding, but in this economy, I need to keep some cash in the bank!)

Yeah, originally had contract sent for 160, when it got here, we decided we needed at least 200, so we had it re-written for 200!

LMAO - we did the same thing!:lmao: We were at BLT for the special preview thing and originally went with 200 points. By the time we came home and reviewed the contract I talked myself into 250 points. So they redid the paperwork and we just sent it back last week. I too have not heard anything. I keep checking the DVC.com and we are still listed with the 250 points as is our first trip I already booked! I assume the paperwork is just a formality and that in order to get that far you needed to be preapproved for financing from the beginning, I hope:worship:!

Congrats to you as well! I am hoping to visit BLT next July, just waiting for my 11 month date to book it!

We sent our docs in on 08/05 with "drop dead" date of 08/15. Today, 08/17 our member status on dvcmember.com has changed and I can see the contracts, etc. We have already reserved a vacation in May/June 2010 that used all of 2009, 2010 and part of 2011. Yes, we will add on points, just got to do it when the wife is not looking.

We bought 160 BLT points in July. Our real plastic membership cards came in the mail today, and we got our dues info in the mail last week. We have not closed yet as this should be taking place on Friday 8/21. We are all set to enjoy our first trip the following weekend! (8/28-8/30)

What is a drop dead date?

I thought the "drop dead" date was the date after the right of recension, which I believe was 10 days from the date on the paperwork. At least that's what I was told.

Signed and return contracts, what next?

Let the planning begin!!! ;)

I need my husband to see I am not the only one who did this. I bought 160 so I could get the tile. Then added on to get the cruise. Then the new incentives came out so I needed to add on. Then DVC came to Boston and I couldn't miss out on that deal. I ended up with 660 points at BLT.

That's hysterical. Tell your husband that there are COUNTLESS numbers of DISers who have done just that. I'm sure that's where the term addonitis came from -- it's like a disease! :scared1:

Wow 660 points -- you have addonits BAD!!! :cutie: But....you are going to have some FABULOUS vacations -- and those are PRICELESS.

I can't believe I am waiting to see what the next incentive will be. My husband keeps saying he is going to take my laptop away.:rotfl2:
