So I saw the topic and figured I would share too. New to DIS Boards here and will be proposing to my girlfriend when we go down to DW for 10 whole days. She's going for 4 for part of a conference but we're staying an extra 6. Anyways she personally picked out the ring, just she doesn't know when it's coming.

It's not a perfect view of the ring but it's the best I could do.

Newbie here. We're not engaged yet, but we recently bought the ring. He's going to 'surprise' me with it during our Disney trip this September! As soon as I figure out how to post pics, I will.

Here is a blue nile image because I don't have a camera to take a picture of my ring. The center stone is 200 years old (a family heirloom). FI added the trillions on the side!

This is the best picture I could take. I can't find it online to post a better picture. I love it! It's a 1 ct. center Radiant cut Center stone and a little over a 1/2 ct on the band and the triangle set diamonds (my technical term ). I love it even more because he picked it out without us ever looking at rings. It was such a great surprise!

This is my ring...the center stone is a 3/4 carat princess cut with 2 trillion cut diamonds on the side....it is unique, beautiful, low-maintenance, and I love it. The wedding band is grooved to fit around it.

All three of these are similar to mine! Mine is a 2 carat radiant cut center with two .25 each trillions on the side. I love it! My DH did an amazing job (but he let me help). We picked out the settings and it was so much fun when they brought out loose diamonds for us to look at.

I'm working with the jeweler to get something like this for a band...just not all the way around.

Wow, everyone's rings are so beautiful! You'll have to excuse my ignorance (i'm only 18) but why do people get two rings? What's the point of having an engagement ring as well as a wedding ring. Doesn't wearing two rings at the same time get kind of annoying?

Depending upon tradition, beliefs, etc... is why you would or wouldn't have two rings. This is just my opinion and folk knowledge.

I believe in having a wedding band because it symbolizes unity. Not that the engagement ring doesn't- but it's just another level of commitment. Some people always wear their wedding band, because it's generally less likely to be damaged if it's just a band and not too big with a diamond.

Anyway, just stating what I think. lol
