Hey all!
Just wanted some opinion... We're coming for a long weekend on a thursday nite (late march) and weren't sure what to do our first evening there. Hoop-de-doo sounded like fun (and there are openings that evening), but so does a leisurly evening tour of the boardwalk. We're really looking for a dinner and a some drinks after a few hours at the resort pool... what would YOU do??

Thanks y'all are the best!!

We always enjoy just hanging out at the resort on our first night. It is nice to get use to the resort and find out where everything is. Then we get a good night sleep and can get an early start to the parks the next day. We sometimes are anxious to get doing everything, so we go to DTD or BW and get some Disney on the first evening, especially if we get to the resort early on the first day.

Have a great trip!!

I say hang out at the boardwalk. I really enjoy the BW and have seen some funny magicians there as well as other things. There always seems to be action. I personally disliked the Hoop de Doo. I thought the food was not good at all and I wasn't impressed with the show. I don't know, that's just me! I like to stick around my hotel the first night I get there, but I suppose it's all personal preference! :thumbsup2

I would go to the HDD, we never miss it. Alot of corny fun, good food and all the beer and sangaria you want plus a dinner show. Good way to cool off, feed and drink, its on'y about an hour long, maybe longer. Alot of people don't like it but we've seen it over and over and its just as good as the first time we saw it.

staying at ASM... so kind of a hike to HDD. We've never really toured the BW, ate at the restaurants, or checked out the entertainment there, so we're leaning that direction. It's a very short trip, and I'd hate to spend too much time waiting on buses etc. Especially if the show is only 1hr. Still deciding though. Thanks for the comments, and any other opinons are very welcome.

Happy Dis-ing! :thumbsup2
