Show off your entertainment center!

A while back there was a thread where lots of DISers posted photos of their desks/computer work area at home.

Mine is a mess, so you'll never see it here!

I do however have a killer entertainment center, so I'll start.

We had been looking all day long, stopping in at least 4 furniture stores. We couldn't find anything that would fit a 56 inch TV or larger. The last place we stopped (and we had intended on driving right on by) had exactly what we were looking for! The only thing is, it seemed to have grown by the time they delivered it! It's massive!

Anyway.....here it is, now show me yours!

Blondie ~ that is a jaw dropping piece of furniture! WOW!

Funny how when they are in a furniture showroom, they look average sized but when it leaves the 15,000 sq foot showroom & ends up in the 2000 sq ft home, it becomes massive! That's happened to us too...but really, it looks perfect & seems to fit well on the wall it's placed against. I'm sure you'll get many compliments on that!

I don't know how to post photos or I would submit mine too but after seeing Filet Mignon, who wants a hamburger?

Believe me when I tell you this was the first new bigger piece of furniture that we've bought since....well...since we got married! This thing ended up being so big that we had to totally rearrange our living room! The wall where the entertainment center is now is where our sofa used to be!

Feralpeg, you have a nice one too! I like how you placed greenery around the top.

Here's the one we couldn't even get $50 for on Ebay last month. We ended up giving it to my sister.

The good thing about entertainment centers is that they hold so much stuff. The bad thing is that they just take up too much precious space in a home.
I don't think we'll be buying another entertainment center.

I would give my left arm for an entertainment center. We had a very nice one that the old TV fit into, then my husband had to go buy a TV that was as wide as the wall, and between it and the two tower speakers, there isn't room for one, and it looks like the Starship Enterprise threw up on that side of the room. All silver, black, and flashing lights.

I don't have a picture of ours, but it's a small armoire with two drawers. I'd guess it's even smaller than kdibattista's - but we also have a tiny house (800 sq feet) and a very tiny living room. It took me forever to find a smaller entertainment armoire, and we had to settle for drawers that are just a bit too shallow to be really useful. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers. At least we got one that fit and it was less than $400 (at a going-out-of-business sale).

That is a beatiful unit. Mine is a million years old, was a Walmart floor model and has two small screw holes where they screwed the price to it
