Should we switch???

Hi Everyone!!!

We are currently booked for a My Way package at the Poly but are considering changing to an Epcot resort. The main reason being that dh will be taking part in all the press events going on the first week of May and most of them are at Epcot and MGM. We thought it might be better to be within walking distance in case we need to get back to our resort quickly for our kids. (they will be with a sitter back at the room) We love the Poly, but under these circumstances do you guys think it's better to stay near the press stuff?? Splitting is NOT an option with our My Way package so it's one way or the other.

I really love Poly, but with your circumstances, I think I would change. It sounds like things would be much more convenient for you at one of the Epcot resorts within walking distance of Epcot. The Poly is very convenient to MK and, being within walking distance of the TTC, you can get to Epcot pretty quickly -- but it's not like walking.

On the other hand, if most of the press stuff is in Future World, being at an Epcot resort isn't that much of an advantage. Hmmm, I'm not very much help.

I would say it would depend on where you will be for the press events. If you will be in the World Showcase I would say you would be better staying in an Epcot resort. If however the press events are in Future world you might do just as well staying at the Poly. You could take the monorail to the TTC the Poly is just a quick walk from there.

i have to agree with the other posters. If the events are in future world you may do better at the poly the ride from the ttc is quick and you are at the gate. If the events are in worldshowcase...BWI,YC or BC might be best!!!

Erika, if you decide on an EPCOT location I wholeheartedly recommend the Yacht Club! A little calmer and more understated than the Beach Club but still very kid friendly!

Well, my dreams agent checked and nothing is available at the Epcot resorts... so I guess we are sticking with Poly. The monorail to Future World will work out great... and surely they'll have the buses running from MGM and Epcot to the Poly for these late night parties?? Since the parks are closing early I wonder if they'll run a regular schedule every 15 minutes?? Or we can use our rental car I guess. I just don't want to get stuck somewhere and need to get back to the kids.
