Should We Go?

We are a family of 5 with three kids - 9, 6 and 3. We have all been to Disney World together several times, most recently in October. We also had a mother/daughter trip in May and father/son trip in June with the oldest two. My husband and I are now considering a mom and dad only trip for MLK weekend - fly down late Thursday and home Monday. I think I already have all child care issues taken care of. Should we go? I'm afraid of feeling guilty about going without the kids but on the other hand we love DW and could definitely use some alone time. Thanks for your opinions!

We just got back from our family trip with DD9, DD6 & DS3 and I'd go in a heartbeat without children IF we could arrange the child care thing. I say GO.

If your family is like ours, you need some mommy and daddy time. Enjoy you weekend alone! I like your idea, I may need to talk to DH about us having a WDW weekend alone. :rolleyes1

Absolutely & don't feel guilty. Every couple should take time just for themselves. When mom & dad's happy, the whole family is happy too.
DH & I went away for a week to the Canadian Rockies without DD3 & DS2. They were left in the capable and loving hands of grandparents. Yes, we missed them! But the time for ourselves was amazing! We were well rested and refreshed by the end of our trip. Our kids had some great bonding time with their grandparents as well.

I agree, go and don't feel guilty. DH and I have gone twice without DS and he had a GREAT time at Grandma and Grandpa's.
Have fun!!
