We are going to be at Disney from the 19th - 27th the only night that MVMCP is on is the 19th. Should I get tickets for it? I heard most the stuff there is available after the 19th. Is that true?. What things would we miss out on by not going? This is likely our last trip for several years as I'm pregnant and won't want to go till the baby is a couple of years old- as well I need to give DH a disney break lol!!

Is it worth an extra $250 to go or since I'll be there after the 19th would it be a waste? I'm so torn on what to do!

After the 19th , the daily MK parade will be the special parade from MVMCP and Holiday wishes will also be shown during regular park hours. The only thing you will miss is the free cocoa and cookies. No big deal, I would save the $$$.The last party sells out and is quite crowded anyway

I think it would be a waste of money. The park will start showing the same parades and fireworks starting the day after the last party, which would be December 20th. The only benefit of the party would be to have shorter lines for rides, "free" cookies and cocoa, and a guaranteed limit to the number of patrons in the park. However, since Christmas is on a Saturday, many schools will still be in session some days during the following week. You might have moderate crowds, which would be about the same crowd you'd find at a sold out MVMCP.

It's up to you, but if I were there the week leading into Christmas Day, I'd save the $250 to spend on a special tour or treats throughout the week.

Thanks so much I'm leaning toward not getting them, I'd have to cancel a character meal and get creative with my budget to be able to swing it. I just didn't want my kids to miss out on anything.

This is the conclusion we came to for our trip on the 11th-22nd. We'll just catch the parade and fireworrks after the 19th. WE have done MNSSHP and although we had fun it just wasn't worht the $$ to us.

I would go to the character meal.
