Should we do E-Nite July 1???

The first E-Nite I went to (spring 2000), the place was virtually empty -- well worth the time, money, and effort. The last 3 times we've gone (both in the spring and in the summer), the experience has been close to horrible. July 1 is the only E-Nite schedule for our upcoming trip, and I'm debating whether to go. I'm fearing E-Nite crowds bigger than during the day. I'm leaning against going, but the kids want to go no matter what. Can anyone offer any thoughts or share any recent experience with E-Nite this summer.

BTW -- E-Nite on July 1 is 10pm to 1am. I wonder if having such a late E-Nite does anything to reduce the crowds during the last midnight hour.

Help!

We will be there for the July 1 E-night...crowds have not been to bad....if you stay away..it will make the lines shorter for us...thanks...

just kidding...:bounce:

That's when we will be in WDW and my kids also said they want to do e-night (July 1). We've done it at all times of the year and they think it's great (usually my DH stays with the boys and my DD and I go back to the resort.)

Where did you read that it was 10-1? I thought it is 9-12 from the Dis listing. I have a 8 a.m. ps at Restaurantosaurus the following morning and I realize I may have to cancel because everyone will want to stay in bed!

I'm not sure where I got the 10pm closing time. Perhaps the WDW official site? This one has 9pm closing time. I could be wrong, but can't check. I'm at work. Believe or not, I can access this site, but our network blocks the official WDW site. Apologies if I got it wrong. The July 1 E-Nite may very well be 9pm-12am.

The park hours currently on the www.waltdisneyworld.com website are 9 - 9, which would make E-Ride from 9 - 12. Of course, the hours are subject to being change as they gather more information around resort capacity as they get closer to July. You'll notice on the website that they only list the 3:00 PM parade that day; Fantasy-in-Sky fireworks time has yet to be set. I cannot see how the E-Ride crowd can be as large or larger than the daytime crowd. According to Deb Wills' site, it is rumored that there are only 5.000 tickets sold for E-Ride nights. People may be in the park at closing and later, but unless they have a wristband they can't get on or shoudn't get on the rides.

We will be there July 1st as welll. We're going to try to see how many times we can ride HM and Buzz :D

Sandy -

We plan to take our kids to our first e-night on 7/1 - planning on a good afternoon nap first - maybe we'll see you there!
