Should I stay or should I go?

I reserved a 2BR standard view at BWV for Night of Joy Weekend, and waitlisted for Boardwalk View. Waitlist came through! :cheer2: So I have a place to stay, and a free park pass thanks to "Give A Day, Get A Disney Day". Now my kids have gotten involved with a theater production that started rehearsing yesterday, and of course the performances are the weekend after my planned WDW trip. Understandably they will not want to miss the last few days of rehearsal before the show (dd has the lead), and it would not be fair to all the other actors.

So, should I go alone? If I pass up this weekend it is unlikely we'll get back to WDW before the points expire (Feb. use year) and even more unlikely that I'll get a chance to use the Give A Day pass before that expires in December. I have enough miles for a free plane ticket, a free park pass and a "free" place to stay. Hard to pass up but would I enjoy it enough to outweigh the hard feelings I'd get from the kids when I got back?

If it were me I would go! My kids are spoiled rotten in regards to WDW so they would just have to deal with not being able to go just once!

I would for sure be calling friends and see who wants a free place to stay (since you have 2 bedroom) and I would go! If no takers I would down size to 1 bedroom (if you can) and go solo! I went in May with 2 friends, DH and DD's were a bit taken back and I have to say it was sooooo much fun!

Have you ever travelled solo? It's amazing! I love my kids and DH, but it is just... amazing! I've been to Europe twice by myself, and I'm in the process of planning another solo trip. Go and enjoy yourself! I bet you'll have a great time! :goodvibes
I would downsize though and try to rent the extra points or something, if possible.

Yes, I'd be calling anyone I could think of to go along, and then I would DEFINITELY be going!:thumbsup2
