I just made an online reservation through DVC's website for DME..you would think I would have learned from last time because I did the same thing but will I get my packette in time if we leave in 14 days?

ALSO

I noticed after I filled out the form that DME and RAC are two different things and I filled out the return info for DME....we are going to use RAC and take our rental car back...should I contact Disney to let them know we do not want DME going back? (we are renting a car from MCO but only one person is driving, the rest of us are taking the bus)

Thanks!

I would cancel it after I get to my resort so they don't end up cancelling your arrival reservation.

Thanks, I will do that....so with RAC you do not need to reserve that ahead of time?

Nope, DME and RAC are separate entities, you just go down to the RAC desk with your picture ID, resort id and if you have to pay baggage fees the confirmation number for payment and they will check your bags. Just be aware that your bags must be completely checked in 3 hours prior to your flight, there is no leeway as the computer locks the RAC people outm so don't cut it close as sometimes there is a line.

I wouldn't fully cancel. I'd let them know - after arrival, of course - that you'll be using RAC but not DME for the return. Why? Well, my last trip, the computers went down at OKW the day I was flying home. If you were expected to be using the services, someone had gone over to SSR earlier in the day and printed return travel documents and luggage tags. If not - i.e. me, with a rental car - you were out of luck :(

If you want to cancel the return section, just do that at one of two points....if you get in the checkin line at the DME counter upon arrival. They will ask about your return plans. You can tell them your plans changed and you won't be taking DME back to MCO. Or...you can just let them know when you checkin at the resort. They can take care of that as well.
