Help me out Disers!

I have my MNSSHP tickets paid for. Money set aside for mousekeeping tips, dining tips(also on the Deluxe plan), Cab money (for Sea World visit), Money for Sea World tickets.

I am not a big souvenier(sp) buyer. And my DD already has $400 set aside for her spending money.

We will be at Disney for 2 weeks and I am planning $1000 dollars for those 2 weeks ($500 week). Do you think I have enough pocket money? Or should I bring more?

I leave in 6 days and I am starting to panic about everything.

Is there anything I didn't budget for?

HELP!:scared:

We're taking our first trip in a few weeks. We budgeted $300 a day for our 8 day trip. We also already paid for 1 meal (CRT). We plan on snacking for breakfast & lunch & eating big dinners. So without food we probably have $150/day spending money.

Just to be safe I'd say at least $100/day spending money would be a good start

That's not a bad idea-thanks for the advice!:)

its so hard to advise others what would be a good amount. we all have different spending habits.
we went last month, free dining. in top of what was paid before the trip we spent 1800 in 6 days. if we had more we would ahve spent more. money goes quick there:)

I know it's amazing how much money we spent last year and we were had free dining too!:confused3 I am hoping that this year with Deluxe we can pug up some of the leaks so to speak. I guess I will bring my debit card and try to exert some self control-

I just hate the feeling that besides those impulse buys and other stuff like that-that I haven't missed something obvious that I should be budgeting for and it will cut into my spending $$. Is there anything you can think of that I will need $$ for besides the things I listed?

i dont really know.
heres what my budget had on it.
rental car(i owuld never go without one)
gas
mousekeeping
tips for servers
tips for airport personnel
snacks at airport for before we leave and coming home
souveniers, this includes photos and clothing we might buy
snacks the plan didnt cover, like a turkey leg.
some adult "snacks" in epcot
1 oop dinner because we ate at a couple 2 credit meals
resort arcade
off site grocery shopping, we like to grab water and soda from walmart

the other thing i can think of is if you are going to sea world for a day youll need extra money to eat and get souveniers there.

Thanks for the help!:goodvibes

I think I have all that covered, I think the only thing that might tank me is it my Dh indulges in too many "adult" snacks while we're there:lmao:

Thanks again for the help!!

I'm notoriously cheap. I really really have to LOVE something before I buy it. I came home last year from WDW with a purse type backpack ($20) and a mickey portfoilio for work ($25). Those 2 items were even a stretch for me. Dh bought 1 t-shirt and we bought some candy for my parents. The most we spent money on was alcholic drinks with dinners (DDP) and food at the airport. We probably spent $200 in 4 days MAX.

If you're not typically a spender I would think that $500 per week for just "extras" is enough spending money. Are you really going to spend $75 each day on souveniers? Not likey.

OMG we go insane!!! Ok i should rephrase that we try not to go insane but we end up doing it. This trip we spent $800 that includes our meal at V&A. We had the dining plan but as you know some places don't take it. We bought 3 T shirts about 20 pins, 2 lanyards, the kissing bride and groom Mickey and Minnie, the matching frame, the evil queen lenox box ($65) and some other collectibles.

las tyear I spend 500 for 5 days
Now this year I keep forgetting the tip,
There service will depend on the amount left!
no good service no good tip, last year I went above and beyond!
leaving extra several times

It's hard to say what others should bring.

I'm putting money each paycheck on a disney gift card, whatever is on it, is what we can spend. I'm thinking we'll have between $500 - $1000 on it by our trip in Nov.

As long as you pack well, and you aren't a big spender, you should be fine. I can't find anythink you didn't budget for... just don't forget to bring rain ponchos and an extra pair of shoes, sunblock, and those other essentials from home so you don't end up in the giftshop paying more then you have to.

we went 2 years ago during free dining when the tips were still included and spent $100 total in cash for the whole week and of that $50 were groceries for the room. We rented a car and that didn't include car rental or gas, but it was everything else we bought.

We went again this march and ate most of our meals off-site and stayed in an off-site condo and only spent $1000 for the whole trip. (we did have most of our meals paid for with gift cards we had saved using points)

I guess the point I am making is you can spend as much or as little as you want. We spent very little and it can be done, but most people would rather spend much more.

One more thing to remember if you are renting a car is the tolls. I had money in a special envelope for the tolls from the airport to DW.
