DH thinks that I am crazy....what else is new?

I was thinking about bringing my Chicco stroller and packing our Combi (it is small enough to fit in a duffel bag).

My logic is IF (god forbid) the Chicco gets stolen at least we have the Combi as back up so DS doesn't have to use one of the hard plastic rentals. Also, I thought that the Combi would be good if waterparks, etc because it is a Nylon where the Chicco is cloth.

Thoughts? Has anyone else done this?

Well, I am a mom of two little ones. So, I have to bring two strollers. I say whatever makes you feel comfortable as mommy. Tell hubby there is one more advantage of bringing two strollers. You can get a bike lock, and lock them together, side by side. I feel this would ward off thieves even more. So, I guess it is all how you look at it. Whatever you choose. Have a wonderful trip!!! :wave2:

I always overpack, so I would not want to carry around an extra stroller. That being said, not only did I buy a new stroller for DD2 for this trip, I considered taking our Sesame Street umbrella stroller as well. I have decided against it. The airport squashed my stroller last year (purchased new and broken in a few weeks before the trip), so I would rather not give them the opportunity to do it to 2 of them. BTW, the stroller Delta squashed was gate checked, so I was surprised at the amount of damage that was done. If you are renting a car, you can always take a quick ride to Walmart, Target, or the like to buy an inexpensive umbrella stroller.

I too brought two stroller one year but for a different reason. My first DD was an older infant and I wanted to take my bigger stroller for comfort and the lite umbrella stroller for small walks and trips to Downtown disney, So you do what you fell is comfortable for you family, but on a side note I did drive there
so I stored my bigger stroller in the Van!!!
