Inspired by what JimmyV has defined as "Disney's Coaster Phobia!!" I was sad that the thread was closed because it was a great thought provoking discussion with a lot of interesting opinions!! I was completely against it at first but then warmed up when some really creative Diser's came up with cool ideas for themes and some very unique coasters like Cheetah Hunt!!
A hypercoaster or megacoaster according to Intamin can mean one of two things:
Any continuous-circuit roller coaster with a height or drop measuring greater than 200 feet.
Or, more narrowly:
Let's face it....these steel monstrosities are giant and ugly----- and they're too large to hide in a "mountain." They will destroy views and sightlines. But they are relatively cheap and quick to build!! The new Ratatouille ride in Paris is costing Disney $150,000,000 DOLLARS. Disney could build seven megacoasters for less!!!! Should Disney even consider a megacoaster when their main competitor Universal is veering away from coasters and copying off of Disney's formula of building well themed family thrill rides?????
Universal is rumored to have said that Gringott's Bank Vault Ride is not an indoor rollercoaster!! I wouldn't mind a couple of megacoasters in the secondary parks........but- I don't think Disney will ever build one.

Any continuous-circuit roller coaster with a height or drop measuring greater than 200 feet.
Or, more narrowly:
- A style or model of roller coaster with three features:[3][4][5][6]
- A height of 200-299 feet or 61-91 meters
- Lacks inverting elements
- A full circuit coaster with a lift hill, not a launch
