Shortest Trip?

3 nights with 2 full park days and one morning at MK on our departure day. For short trips, we stay at the CR and usually make MK our only park. Longer trips (5-7 days) we've been really happy staying at the Pop Century. We were going to try the All Stars this Thanksgiving, but my family was feeling sad we weren't returning to the Pop so we just changed our reservation to stay there again instead. Even longer trips (7-10 days, we've never stayed longer than that) we do a split stay with the first half at Pop Century and the second at a deluxe. Our summer trip is usually at a deluxe no matter how short/long it is just because we need the pool to escape the heat (that and we can't stand the multiple bus stops at the moderates).

My wife and I have done 3-night trips a few times, with one coming up in October. It works for us because (1) it's often our third trip within 12 months and (2) we often find a flight that arrives early on the first day and departs mid-afternoon the last day.

Because we go on a fairly regular basis, we don't feel rushed to do everything. We try to hit the things we really like and the things the kids didn't want to do.

We are a family of 5 - the shortest we have done is 3 nights, 4 days. The longest 4 nights, 5 days. We prefer shorter visits like this as we are able to visit often. Our last trip was 3 nights, 4 days and we hit HS, Ep and MK 2x. We drive so we can make our last day as long or short as we would like. I have found that the short visits are good. We are able to do our favorite things, mixed with some new things and maybe spend the money we would have spent on a longer visit on a nicer resort or extra TS meal out of pocket.

We are also about a 2.5 hr non-stop flight (Chicago). That's too long and too expensive for us to justify anything less than 5 nights. And we did that once, too short for us. I just didn't feel we got a chance to relax.

We only go every few years to WDW, so we now just take longer trips - about 9 nights lately.

Lately we have been doing 4-5 night trips. We found 5 nights to be just about perfect for us, we get enough down time to actually feel like a vacation, yet we can still cram enough in to feel like we did everything we wanted to. The 4 night trip we just took we found to be exhausting, taking away just one day really made a difference to us!

We used to do 10-14 night trips, but found the 14 nights too long (way too long to be stuck in a small room all together), and although the 10 nights were nice, they were pricey! Now that we're doing shorter trips we can afford to go multiple times a year which we definitely are fans of!

What is the shortest trip you've taken? We're thinking of doing 3 park days, 4 nights at one of the All Stars. Which is about how long I can handle those resorts haha. I'm worried that it's almost too short.

Last December we did 4 nights at Pop Century. We flew in late on a Weds night and went right to bed (flight got in at 11pm). Then Fri, Sat, Sun we did the parks and we did a night at MVMCP. We flew home on the Sunday. It was totally fun. I wouldn't recommend it to someone for their first trip, but we are WDW vets and knew what we wanted to see and do. Our main point was to see all the holiday decorations bc we had never been for the holidays. DH is a teacher so he could really only miss 2 days. We didn't want to do Christmas week so 4 nights was the best way for us to see all the holiday hoopla at a lower crowd time. I'd say go for it!

This upcoming trip at CSR and the last at POFQ were 2 or 3 day trips. (This one upcoming turned from a 2 to a 3 recently). VERY relaxing because we know we can't see it all and just enjoy what we can. Doing 2 MK and 1 EPCOT days and 1.5 swimming and wandering. DD12 wants to play a game in every resort arcade. Going to see places we've never been before. :-D

Our first trip ever was 4 days. I knew nothing about ADRs, fastpasses, or parkhoppers. And it was a blast! One park for each day, figuring out FPs on the fly (it was still the paper fps so it was easy), and we used concierge to find us a place to eat each day.

Sounds like it's not your first time, so it should be great! We live ~ 6 hr drive away and often take 4 night (3.5 day) trips for special celebrations like birthdays. Of course it's not the same as a summer vacation, but it's still fun - a little more intense, since we tend to spend most of the time in the parks, and for this reason a value resort works really well for these short trips.

5 nights is the shortest I'll do. Not worth the airfare for 5 from CT otherwise. I prefer to do at least 7.

ETA if we lived within driving distance I'd do short trips all the time lol.

Our shortest was 4 nights and it was fine, our longest so far has been 8 nights and I loved it!

From California: leave Monday 11:30PM > arrive Tuesday 7:30AM - stay 3 nights, leave Friday 8:15PM. That gives us 3 full days and 1 half day in the parks.

I think it's fine for a quick trip. The shortest trip I've taken is 3 nights and it was fine.

My shortest trip was 4 nights as well. Longest was 2 weeks and I couldn't wait to go home.

Our longest trip was a week and a half (11 nights) and everyone was ready to go home by night 9. We had a great time and couldn't wait to go back the next year, but 11 nights was a bit too long for us.

Shortest Disney trip has been 3 nights. We have done that 4 times. Once with no park visits but a day at SeaWorld (a day at Downtown and a day at the resort pool). Other 3 times were for F&W trips. Last year we upped the F&W trip to 4 nights and this year we're doing a full week. I like 3-5 night trips. DH has trouble missing work too long so he gets grumpy and then has to work from hotel so we mostly stick to shorter trips.

Shortest night was 1 night just a few weeks ago. We stopped on the way back home from Siesta Key and then booked 1 night at allstar movies for my niece and nephew to spend the day playing in the pool. They thought it was the greatest thing ever and I got a little bit of Disney to hold me over to my trip in Nov.

shortest trip? very shortest? Well, last month we flew in for Highway in the Sky. Arrived at 5:00PM, had dinner, spent the night and flew out the nest morning at 10:00AM.

But that wasn't he shortest trip by far. I have made day trips to eat around the world during festivals and DD and I flew in for the Pandora AP preview.

DH works for an airline so we fly free. Living the dream, Baby, living the dream.

Most of my Disney trips are planned around the RunDisney races. Typically I will fly in very early on Friday morning (usually landing at MCO around 9 am or earlier) and take the latest flight possible on Monday (I'm usually able to get a flight out around 8 pm or so.)
So that gives me 3 nights and 4 full days.

The shortest I've done is for 2 nights...I flew in early on a Friday, but left on Sunday afternoon.

Drove down for 8 hours on a friday morning, spent the rest of friday, all day saturday and half day on Sunday before I drove home. I've done that solo a couple of times plus with the family once.

I'd never do it again with the family - that was a pain.

My shortest trip was December 4th-6th 2015.
Got to our resort around 10am on the 4th.
Went to MVMCP that evening.
Went to HS and Epcot on the 5th and took DME at 7am on the 6th.
We stayed at ASSports and it was fine.
No trip is too short in my opinion.
If I can I personally like 4 park days and 2 relax days but I take what I can get lol.

Less than 24 hours this past May. Scored a preview a lot for Pandora. Flew into MCO early Saturday morning, did DAK and then Pandora preview. Flight left MCO very early Sunday morning. Whew!
