You know you're a Disney geek when moving a flight up 5 hours makes you sad you'll miss having fastpasses that day. Lol.

We were supposed to be at Disney for 8 days over Christmas. Decided to fly down 2 days earlier to get cheap flights. So now have 10 full days in Disney. Coming home Christmas Eve. We were going to fly at 4:30 pm, because that was the cheapest direct flight. Not bad, but home just in time for bed, and we usually do family presents Christmas Eve night.

Managed to switch to noon flight. Kiddo is happy - home to open presents. Hubby is happy - a few hours leeway to get ready for Christmas. And i keep thinking, but we could have had fastpasses that day. Cause you know, 10 days isnt possibly enough. Lol!

If the price wasn;t cheaper, I totally would've kept the 4:30 pm flight just to allow for an easy morning checking out. With a noon flight you have to be out of the room at 8:30 and check bags by 8:45 in order to catch the 9 am magical express.

With 4:30 pm flight, you can go to the parks at rope drop for a couple hours, check out at 11 am...and then check bags, get a leisurely lunch and then catch ME at 1:30 pm.

4:30 was actually cheaper, but we weren't sure how well it would work to land at 6:40 pm, get luggage, and get home, and still be ready for Santa that night and Christmas dinner, etc., the next day. Landing at 2:30 gives us a better window to be ready for the holiday, including a quick grocery trip, etc., and leeway for a weather delay. Its honestly the better option, since kiddo definitely wants Santa to come. ;) But yeah, I'm still looking at it as -- we could do MK until like 11:00! Lol!

Oh well, maybe i can finagle a third trip before our annual pass expires next July. ;)
