Hi! We are going on our first DCL in November and trying out concierge. What are some examples of things you've requested from shoreside concierge?

Aside from reserving CC cabanas, special restaurants, and shore excursions, etc., I am curious what some of the other things are that I may not know about or have been unexpected for you? Thanks!

About 130 days before sailing, they’ll send you this list of things they can help you with :

Port Adventures - to view Port Adventures visit our website at disneycruise.disney.go.com/port-adventures
•Adult dining reservations at Palo
•Spa services/treatments - guests 18 years of age and older
•Select Beverage Tastings
•Character Meet and Greet tickets
•Character Breakfasts (on select sailings)
•Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Pirate’s League
•Royal Court Royal Tea
•Nursery reservations
•Dining time requests
•Special occasions and celebration planning
•Transportation to/from the ship - if you have booked your cruise with a travel agency, please contact them, if not, we would be happy to provide options

In addition to the obvious things, we always ask in advance for the possible rotations so we can request a specific one. For example, on a 7+ cruise, we like ending the cruise in AP for the Animation show. We also request our table to be in a specific spot in one of the dining rooms (Not a booth in EG, close to a screen in AP... they can only accommodate one request since you keep the same table number in all the MDRs).

For the excursions, Palo, meets and tastings we are looking at, we ask for the days and times they will be offered. Sometimes, excursions have multiple starting times. That allows us to plan our days with precision before requesting things.

We sometimes request in advance that they stock some specific Coke products in the lounge, like the new flavoured Diet Cokes, or a bottle of a specific spirit or wine we know they have onboard so we can request it during happy hour. Mileage may vary on those requests. Some report they have been told they do not allow them anymore. We‘ve never been told that. Since they added the lounges on all the ships, they denied our requests to have specific drinks delivered to the room, so we stopped asking a while ago. Some say they were successful with those. We just go to the lounge and stock up once in a while.

It's also worth noting that concierge (and sometimes platinum) guests are often the only ones that can arrange for a cabana on Castaway Cay. If that's something you're interested in, make sure you request it.

I agree with Marc D about asking for specific drinks. We are travelling concierge in May and our request for Coke Zero and Sprite Zero in our stateroom fridge was denied. Not a big deal, but if we travel concierge in the future, I probably won't bother asking.

Couple of other things to remember. These are not for Shoreside but... there is a pillow menu. If you would like a different type of pillow ask your room steward. There will be bathrobes in your room. If you need a slightly larger one ask your room steward (they may or may not have one). There are kids sized robes as well. Also, the Concierge hosts have bagged popcorn (heard that it is not always the case on wonder and you can get fresh instead) that you can grab from the lounge and take to the shows (or anywhere). There will also be sunscreen and evian spritz sprays on the outside concierge decks that you can borrow (also in the Cabanas if you get a Cabana). And of course don't forget about the happy 'hour' from 5-10 each night in the Lounge. You can always take a drink (or two) with you to dinner.

I know Coke Zero will be available in the lounge so you can take a few back to your room.

I heard a rumor that if I ask for kid sized robes for my two children, my DH and I will not get any. Is this true? Do they really only put two robes in a room for 4 people?

Unless something has changed recently I have always gotten a robe for my whole family, there are 5 of us. But this will be our first cruise since covid. Every cruise before that we all had robes.
