In addition to the obvious things, we always ask in advance for the possible rotations so we can request a specific one. For example, on a 7+ cruise, we like ending the cruise in AP for the Animation show. We also request our table to be in a specific spot in one of the dining rooms (Not a booth in EG, close to a screen in AP... they can only accommodate one request since you keep the same table number in all the MDRs).
For the excursions, Palo, meets and tastings we are looking at, we ask for the days and times they will be offered. Sometimes, excursions have multiple starting times. That allows us to plan our days with precision before requesting things.
We sometimes request in advance that they stock some specific Coke products in the lounge, like the new flavoured Diet Cokes, or a bottle of a specific spirit or wine we know they have onboard so we can request it during happy hour. Mileage may vary on those requests. Some report they have been told they do not allow them anymore. We‘ve never been told that. Since they added the lounges on all the ships, they denied our requests to have specific drinks delivered to the room, so we stopped asking a while ago. Some say they were successful with those. We just go to the lounge and stock up once in a while.
