How do I ship a box to myself at CSR? Where would I find the address? How should I label the box? :confused3

CSR is used to receiving packages for guests because it is a conference center. You should have no problem getting it there or getting it delivered to your room after you arrive. You can ship your package to:
{YOUR NAME HERE}
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort
1000 West Buena Vista Drive
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-1000
It's a good idea to include your confirmation number and the dates of your stay on the label.

I also write my name and confirmation # on all 4 sides of the box so that no matter how it gets stored after it arrives, they can read my information easily.

Thanks Lisa! What kind of things do you usually ship? We were thinking of snacks and drinks.

I ship snacks but not drinks (too heavy). I also include breakfast bars and cereal. I buy those glow necklaces at the Dollar Store or on eBay and ship a supply down as well as any "souvenirs" like light spinners and t-shirts that I bought on sale. Some people with younger children will ship diapers, formula and pullups rather than pack them in the luggage.

You might want to consider purchasing those Kool-ade or Crystal Light mix-ins for bottled water and including those. Then go to Staples.com and send yourself a couple cases of water directly thru them. There's a thread on the Budget board on how to do this:

Ive shipped my entire families clothes for 2 weeks one trip, to Port Orleans cuz we were driving down from Chicago....in a jeep. You can imagine. ***NO ROOM***

So we shipped it via UPS. It ended up turning out so smoothly, we vowed even when we flew, (no more lost luggage!) or anytime in the future even if we drove again, we'd just ship it. I was able to check the tracking #'s - and knew it had -just- arrived, the morning we departed.

They brought the boxes to our room, and had them ready and waiting to go upon check in. Fabulous!

Only cost $20-something per box. And BIGGGG ol' boxes too. 2 people's worth of clothes in each one. Better than having to carry it ourselves! Woo hoo!

I put our name on it - and "checking in (such and such date)" on it. Then the whole c/o Port Orleans Resort.

Worked great!

I had to bump this up- it was a question I was going to ask anyway.

Has anyone used USPS or fed ex?

I was thinking about asking this too. I am wondering what to do about shipping stuff back (souvenirs, etc.) Do I get a pre-paid shipping label and estimate the weight? I don't think I'd want to have individual purchases shipped separately. That could get expensive. Does UPS pick up at the resorts, or do I need to take my package to the UPS store?

One other question...being that you can't take shampoo or conditioner over the 5 oz bottles do you think it is a good idea to ship that too?:confused3

That's a good idea- though I would have to TRIPLE BAG it - mine always spills.

We used Fedex when we went to OKW last March. If you use Fedex the package will be delivered directly to the resort. If you use UPS the box will go through the central mail system at Disney World and get lost. I love Fedex because they will pick up at your door and you don't have to go out. Just go to Fedex.com.

Has anybody used FedEx to pick at up the resort and ship stuff back home? Will they pick up at your room, or at the front desk?

Just be sure to ship it UPS. I made the mistake of using regular mail the first time I did it and I didn't receive my package until we had been there for 3 days. I was told by staff that if you send it regular mail it goes to a WDW distribution center to be sorted out hence the delay. UPS was no problem and I was told to definately be sure to write arrival date on the package as well. have a great trip!

We travel sometimes 3 times a year to Disney. I always mail packages down

On the planes we like to travel with our carryons. Since, the new rule of no shampoos & make up in our carryons, I have been mailing using FedEx Ground.

FedEx Ground is great for it's the ~cheaper than USPS~ & they will automatically insure your package with delivery conformation. Post office is extra money for the service. With Deliverly conformation, you can follow your package.

Last November, I FedEx Ground our package to the Disney Wonder & home to Jersey. It was there before my luggage. Last Feb, I FedEx our package to the Sheridan Vistana. It was there when I arrived also.

Word of caution, write all over, the outside of your package your name, resort address, & day of your arrival. INSIDE YOUR PACKAGE PUT YOUR "NAME & HOME ADDRESS" JUST IN CASE YOUR PACKAGE GETS LOST.

My friends & I sell on ebay, & mail out quite a bit of packages. FedEx ground has the best customer relations, they bend over backwards to help you with any problems. USPS, I am sorry to say, couldn't care less, whenever I had a problem.

This has been my experience, with shipping.

I am mailing out my box tomorrow to the Sheridan Vistana. My arrival date is on Saturday.

Hope this helps

I had 2 huge boxes shipped vis UPS to GF when we got married, we had sooo much stuff, mostly wedding items etc. GF just had them in a room and bell services brought them to our rooms! It worked out great!

Does anyone have the address to ship packages to Port Orleans French Quarter?

We are getting married on March 18th in Disney and I want to ship about 5 boxes to the hotel filled with wedding stuff and welcome bags. Do you think this will be a problem. What is the best carrier to use and how earlier can I ship it down?

Thank!

What is the difference between USPS and USP aren't they both the Post Office??? Also does anyone have the address for POP??

United States Post Service is more expensive to ship, plus you have to pay extra for Delivery Conformation & Insurance.

United Parcel Service is much cheaper to ship for larger heavier packages, plus insurance & delivery conformation is included.

FedEx Ground is just about the same as UPS delivery conformation & insurance is included.

I vote for FedEx Ground, for they have wonderful customer service. :thumbsup2

Hope this helps.
