Shipping to Canada from US....

I need to ship some clothes (a few small shirts) to Canada and want to make sure I declare it properly on the customs declaration form so that me or the receiver are not socked with 'duties' or whatever they call it.

Should I label it as a gift, etc?

I think gift would be the best idea. You will still have to put what the gift is. I know on this side (Canada) the receiver will not have to pay anything going that way.

Mark it as gift and declare it clothing, children's clothing, whatever it may be. Then put the value of it. The form is easy peasy.
