Shhhh! Mickey's Twying to Sweep, be Quiet! - A July '11 Anniversary TR - Update 12/24

DSCN0303.jpg

Best. Picture. EVER.

You guys have to save this one to pull out when he's in high school :rotfl:

I really have to eventually get to LTT it always looks so yummy!

Lol at not knowing what Joaquin meant when he said that sentence about not being able to get on his ship. I'm glad he accepted your response.

:lmao: at the pose on the monorail. I have to agree in that is a great shot and something to show him when he's older.

I'm glad you had a great meal at LTT - it looks yummy! Great PP pics of Riley with the Princesses.

The picture in the "Im a real character" boarder is just fantastic of the 3 of you!!

It really was the best picture ever! I still crack up every time I see it. We will definitely save it for blackmail in the future. :lmao:

I recommend LTT. I wouldn't call the food out of this world, but it's definitely very good. The dessert makes the entire meal worth it for me.

I was so clueless when he said that to me earlier. I wonder if it stemmed out of a conversation that Jason may have had with him when he was whining about his "nasty". :confused3

LTT is very yummy. I recommend it.

The picture in the "Im a real character" boarder is just fantastic of the 3 of you!!

I love that picture too.

Dinner looked awesome! I may have to try to snag a ressie there. What a wonderful CM at the monorail.

I recommend trying to get a ressie if you can. I've never had a bad meal there.

The monorail CM was so much fun. He definitely kept Joaquin very entertained while we were waiting.

We love LTT as well! We used to go pretty often when they still had the characters at dinner. I really wish they still did! We haven't eaten there since the characters left but I'm sure it's still a great meal. They used to have sweet tea as well but don't anymore! Did you know you can buy one of those mugs for $5! It's one of the cheapest things in WDW I think!!!

Yeah, I miss the characters too. I still don't quite understand their reasoning with taking the characters out, but whatever. :confused3

You're right, that's like a cheap thing to bring home from Disney. I did know you could get the mugs, I've just never remembered to when I was ACTUALLY at the restaurant.

OMG...that picture on the monorail, first thing that came to my mind was "joaquin is channeling his inner Ozzy Osbourne':lmao: too.cute.for.words!

LTT....my favorite TS restaurant at MK! I miss the characters but I honestly think I enjoy the meal more now that they're not there...does that make any sense at all? Is that peas and carrots on the table?

That dessert sounds heavenly...must put that on the list for next time since it didn't make the cut this past trip! Can't wait for Jasmine to come home and show her this post!!! Those photopass pictures are fantastic!!!

Oh, nicknaming him Ozzy would have been a good idea too. He was definitely rockin' his guyliner for sure.

I love LTT. I know exactly what you mean, I miss the characters too, but then sometimes, not so much. I think it depends on my mood. There were carrots for sure. I don't think there were peas and carrots though. I think the green stuff was something else in the carrots. Can't at all fathom what it was though.....

The dessert is so good. I have to make sure I get around to actually making it!

I hope Jasmine enjoys the update. :goodvibes

Awwww... that's so great how the CM at the monorail fought Joaquin in a duel. I'm not sure who win, but I'm guessing the lightsaber's powerful electric charge totally destroyed the sword or whatever it is that makes it glow. I'm not a Star Wars fan as you can tell  LOL And I love Joaquin's eyeliner ;) Those photos are keepers and he totally rocks the rockstar look. Time to get out the black nail polish lol

Mmmmmm... Liberty Tree Tavern sounds and looks delicious. Especially the Apple Craisin Cake with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream... mmmmm :goodvibes That just sounds so good. I'm going to need another tub of ice cream after reading that a few times and seeing Joaquin and Riley eating some of it  Oh gosh, another sugar high :hyper:

LOL @ the Crazy Family Pictures! You guys are hilarious! And another big :thumbsup2 to the awesome kid-isms courtesy of Joaquin... I'm guessing you will never understand what the "ship" one meant :confused3 Great Photopass, I love the one of the staredown between Joaquin and Jason... oh then there's you! lol

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Yes, I do think Joaquin did win that duel. His lightsaber totally trumped the sword.

You're right, I do need to consider getting some black nail polish for Joaquin. That would definitely complete his look for sure.

I'm totally craving that dessert right now. No joke. It was so good.

You're right, I will never understand what he was talking about in regards to the ship. It will forever remain a mystery. I was totally upstaged in those photopass pictures. I'll admit it.

I'm going to have a small rant here. I have been a traveler both without a stroller (because I have no kids), and with a stroller. People without strollers complain about the people with, people with strollers complain about people without strollers. Yackity smackity, blah blah.

So here's the story from the view of someone who has been on both sides. It's not the stroller or the lack of stroller. It's the dingaling who is driving the stroller or walking.

Some people have no sense of what is going on, they don't care about people around them, they don't pay attention, they just don't care. These are the people that are the problem. I was both hit by strollers and I was run over by people without strollers on this trip.

Why don't we just leave it at some people are just rude?

True that! I've noticed that less and less people are paying attention when they're walking. It's very concerning. I don't really understand why. I never thought of a stroller as a battering ram, but some people seem to think they are. I also never understood people who walk so slow I'm pretty sure they're stuck in a time warp.

The Brazilian tour groups were descending upon Spaceship Earth.

And I only had a tiny window of time to dash from the stroller to Spaceship Earth before I too became a member of a Brazilian tour group.

So I BOLTED! And I made it.

SO MANY BRAZILIANS....

DSCN1427.jpg

That was to the right of me. If I would have had the opportunity to get my left, it would be like three times that amount. Woah. :scared1:

I think the entire country was there. If the entire country of Brazil was in Disney World, who was running their country? Inquiring minds would like to know.

I have always wondered about these Brazilian tour groups. I know Americans go overseas on tours, but I've never heard of them traveling by the hundreds in matching clothing. The mind boggles!

So we left off that we were heading off to lunch. Our destination was the Tangierine Cafe. I love that place.

I have never been here and would LOVE to go. I just haven't been able to convince my family to go. :sad2:

Now, I'm going to say that I love the lazy river. But I think it would be greatly improved with a swim up bar! :rolleyes1

GREAT IDEA! :thumbsup2

We all met up at the Oasis and our first stop was the safari. Lo and behold, who would we find at the safari?

BRAZILIANS!!!!

Egads! :rotfl2:

Our poor driver had such a hard time on her hands. A family on the truck kept on letting their kid stand up, he stood up on their laps, etc. She kept asking that everyone remain seated and that kids sit on the seats. I have to add, this kid was like 8 years old. They kept doing it over and over and over again. The driver was getting so irritated and she kept pointing out that it wasn't safe to do that. I felt bad for her. She then said that if they didn't listen, she would drive the truck all the way through and that wouldn't be fair for other guests.

Well, remember we had the jerk in our truck? He was behind us and was like "she better not do that, I paid enough money to be here, I'll sue, blah blah blah."

I think this might go hand in hand with the stroller phenomenom. Sad state this world has come to! I wonder if these parents let their kids stand up in the back seats of their moving cars at home? And is so...well SHAME!!! Seriously! Then they'd probably sue Dodge for not putting airbags in the roof or something ridiculous.

I'm also one of those people that can't stand it when people walk so slowly. I'm naturally a fast walker and people who meander just drive me up the wall! :lmao:

I've never heard of it either...I think it's because it's normally a group of students, and having them wear the same thing helps them to be identified easier...:confused3

I hope you're able to go. Tangierine Cafe has become on of my must do's going forward. It's very worth it.

Right?! Just because you're not in your car doesn't meant that you don't have to be safe when you are in vehicles elsewhere. I used to work for Six Flags and parents were constantly trying to convince us to let their kids ride, but they were clearly too short. However, these are the people that would be the first to sue is something happened to their kids. I just don't understand people. :confused3

Aww that's so cute that the CM dueled Joaquin with his sword! What a precious moment.
Oh they've changed to the apple-crasin dessert since I've been there in February. It was only apple crisp before. Is it a lot different?
It sounds like you guys had a great meal! I always am STUFFED after Liberty Tree.. I totally understand!
Watching one of the outdoor movies sounds like so much fun! I haven't done that in so long. I hope it's warm enough in december so I can do that one night! We'll see though.
I'm excited for the next update! :)

LOL, that picture of Joaquin as a rockstar is hilarious! :rotfl:

How fun that he got to duel one of the monorail CMs too.

Looks like you guys met the same Rapunzel my sister and I did on our trip. :)

The apple dessert at LTT was always my favorite, but I have to say that the new one they have is even better. :scared1: Sorry, I couldn't believe I just typed that.

I am always stuffed afterwards too. I was surprised that I was even able to walk around.

I hadn't done an outdoor movie in forever either. I hope it's warm enough for my New Year's trip too, because I would really like to do it again. ;)

One of the best pictures I think! :goodvibes

I always look in TRs to see if characters that we met are in others TRs too. I love that.

Loved these pics! He is just too much! :rotfl: The monorail station duel was pretty awesome, too. :thumbsup2 I've never done LTT, but you have me wanting to try this amazing dessert! The few times I've checked out the menu, it was about the only thing that interested me. Nice to hear how good it is!
