I'm glad I was able to get an update out. My goal is to get this TR done before I go on my New Year's trip.

I know! We just couldn't get away from them on this trip. I've honestly never seen anything like it before.

He was so funny about cutting the brownie with his sword. He just started doing it.

He did love Test Track. Kept talking about the race cars after that.

We finished up meeting the characters with the kids and Joaquin was having none of it anymore. He just wanted to sit in his stroller. We figured that would be fine. We had fastpasses for Mission: Space to burn. So, Chris, Jason, Dad, and I went to do that, while Mom, Sara, Riley and Joaquin started to head over to La Cantina which was going to be our lunch location.

We headed over to use our fastpasses and Jason got stuck in a sea of Brazilians! It's like playing Where's Waldo!

Good thing he wasn't wearing red. We may have never gotten him back.....

We made it to our destination.

We headed to the Orange side like always. We take our roles very seriously. We don't talk in the chamber. We have jobs to do people!

After that we headed over to the Cantina to meet up with our other party members. They had scored some seats inside and Joaquin was not happy. He was curled up in Ommi's lap and just very sad. Mom sad that he was warm. However, it was very very hot outside, so I was hoping that it wasn't a fever. We ordered hoping that would perk him up. He likes to eat. I did NOT get pictures of this meal! I'm so upset with myself, I thought I had.

Jason and I got the nachos, Mom and Dad tacos, and Joaquin the cheese empanada. Those were the best nachos EVER! I recommend this location for anyone who loves loaded nachos. They were so awesome. Sara had them too and we both just kept talking about how good they were while we were eating them.

Joaquin ate a bit and seemed to perk up. I asked Jason what he wanted to do and he said he wanted to walk through World Showcase and then we'd take him back to the hotel to relax for the night.

After our meal, we parted ways with Chris, Sara and Riley. This would be our last time seeing them on the trip, as they were staying another five days and we were leaving the next day. It felt so weird leaving each other after having been together for so long. Poor Joaquin was very sad that he would not be seeing Riley anymore.

After we parted ways, I went inside the Mexico pavillion to buy margaritas for Jason, Mom, Dad, and I. I bought the hibiscus one for myself and it was honestly the best margarita I've ever had. So good!

I don't have many pictures for the rest of this update, sorry, because we were whizzing through World Showcase trying to get Joaquin back to the hotel. We just wanted to make some purchases before we left. We went to China for mom to buy something for my Grandma, Italy for me to buy a new purse I had seen and Japan to browse. When we hit Japan, Joaquin was finished for sure. I put my foot down and told Jason we had to leave. It's the one thing that makes me uncomfortable. When to say something to a parent and when not to.

We left and headed back to POP. There were some ominous clouds and lo and behold, it started to rain really bad when we got to the resort. Mom and I ran in and got us checked in. We maneuvered some pretty decent rooms on the ground floor in the 70's. The rain started to come down big time at this point. Dad pulled up so we could unload and Joaquin starts to complain about getting a little wet. Can you tell from this TR that he's not a fan of being wet when he feels he should be dry?

We got ourselves into our respective rooms for the night. I'll tell you about Jason's and my night and then Mom and Dad, who had the reservation at Narcoosee's I had made to use the gift card I bought them.

Jason and I relaxed and had Joaquin lay down until about 6pm. We were all hungry at that time, so we headed to Everything POP to pick up food and bring it back to the room. Jason and I got some various snacks with the credits we needed to burn, philly cheesesteak wraps, oreo cupcakes, and macaroni and cheese for Joaquin.

After we got back Joaquin started to eat and drink. As soon as he started, he looked at me with huge tears in his eyes and said:

"TeeTee, my tongue huwts."

I said: "Come here baby and show me your tongue."

He came over and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. I asked him to take a drink of his juice for me to see. He took a drink, and again looked at me, with big tears now running down his face:

"TeeTee, I can't, it huwts. *sob*"

He clearly had a sore throat. We decided it was best to forego him eating anything else, gave him Tylenol and put him to sleep. We were crossing our fingers that a good nights sleep would do him good.

Meanwhile, over at the Grand Floridian:

Mom and Dad were greeted with Champagne for their anniversary.

I trained Mom well, and she took pictures of their meal. I can't remember exactly what they ate, but I will try.

I believe this was Shrimp and Crab Chowder.

Mom had a salad for her appetizer.

Dad had the surf and turf that he said was AWESOME!

I believe this was the Flounder.

Dad enjoyed his meal for sure.

And some beautiful desserts.

My parents said that it was an excellent meal and they would definitely return at a future date.

They called me over to their room when they returned so they could fill me in on their evening. I also filled them in our how Joaquin was doing. We were hoping the good nights sleep would help him. Our flight was later in the day and we had a morning planned at DHS with a reservation at 50's Prime Time.

As you well know, I take all my jobs at Disney very seriously.

It was a little sad to say goodbye to them. It meant that the trip was really coming to an end. I think that's why I've dragged out the last part of this TR. I don't want it to end!

He wasn't too bad, but I was nervous when he started complaining about his sore throat. At least it was at the end of the trip instead of the beginning. That made me feel a little better about it.

I love when you said that the kiddos thought Minnie looked shady in one pic. Want to know what's shady? Those "pretend" Mickey and Minnie characters that you see in NYC. The ones that stand around in Times Square or other main areas looking for people to give them money for a picture. Super creepy looking. As much as my daughter loves her characters, even she was creeped out by them.

*sigh* They always say that all good things must come to an end. As such, the end of our wonderful trip celebrating the anniversary of my parents had come to an end.

I began this day at 6:30am. What can I say? I'm a masochist that likes to start the saddest day at the earliest possible time.

Joaquin woke up on his own and seemed to be feeling much better. Looked like a good nights sleep helped him out. We checked his temperature and his fever was completely gone.

Jason and I were finished and out the door at 7:30am. Then, the most surprising, amazing, shocking thing happened. Write it down in the history books folks, because this anomaly will never occur again.

My parents were not ready yet!

Well shut my mouth and call me early!

We all finished getting them ready and were to airline check-in at about 8am. It took only a few minutes and we were on our way. We munched on some pop tarts in the car on the way and got to DHS at about 8:30am. I had really been hoping to get there are 8am for EMH. Shame shame shame Mom and Dad!

We were heading over to TSM to get some fastpasses and got a return time of 12pm. Well, then we had some pixie dust. A group of 7 people were not going to be using theirs, so we got ANOTHER set for a return time of 10am. Score! We were able to find a couple to give the extra 2 fastpasses to. Gotta spread the love.

In the meantime, we headed over to Tower of Terror. Only a 10 minute wait there.

Not very crowded on this day.......yet.

There was only a 10 minute wait. Mom sat this out. But not Joaquin!

That boy took it like a champ. He gets off the ride and proceeds to tell Ommi about how he only dropped "a little" bit.

Then it was off to Star Tours. I was hoping we'd get a different ending.

We did get a different ending. Went to the Wookie planet. It was pretty cool.

Had to take some speeder bike shots. Joaquin was all ready to go looking cool in his sunglasses.

Well, not one to be outdone, Wicket just HAD to get on.

I came sooooo close to buying this hat for Joaquin.

I mean, we do live in a cold weather state....

Joaquin kept talking about the cannon ride. Wonder where he gets the love of that ride from? So of course, he was stoked when he saw that's where we were heading next.

I rode with mom.

Pow. Clobbered her.

So after this, we headed to the Animation Courtyard to meet Lottso. Well, that was an epic fail. Because, I apparently didn't do my research and had NO IDEA that he was gone and replaced with Winnie the Pooh. That's okay though, Joaquin said he still wanted to meet him.

After that it was time for our reservation at 50's PTC. We got an awesome server this time. She was really in character. I got the pot roast, Dad the fried chicken, and Jason and Mom got the sampler platter. We all got chocolate malts to drink. Joaquin got a hot dog with soup. He started to say his tongue was hurting again. He felt fine, no fever, but he avoided his hot dog and instead ate all of his chicken soup.

And then the funniest thing happened. So, we all finished up our food. Mom had a little left on her plate, mostly her greens. Well, our server would have none of that. So when she got back, she scolded mom for not finishing her vegetables. And then she fed her!

That was the best day of my life! I mean, come on. Where else can you go where you can say that your mom got fed for not finishing her lunch!?

It was time for our other fastpasses at TSM. It was a sad day. I lost. Mom has apparently gotten better at the game and since Jason was riding with Joaquin, Jason beat me.

I am ashamed that I have apparently fallen off of my tower of greatness. My title of TSM extraordinaire has been lost.

So how do you fix that? With a slushie of course! It was time for our wonderful trip to come to an end. So we stopped in the Sweet Spells store to get some candy and slushies.

We dragged ourselves to the car because we had no other choice. We started heading to the airport. We stopped to get gas and made it in very good time.

Security, surprisingly enough was bad. I'm used to it being out of control at MCO, but it actually wasn't.

We had time to go and get some drinks before hopping on the plane. The flight was uneventful. Joaquin fell asleep again on the flight which was very nice for us. He had a long day and he still wasn't feeling 100%.

The only strange thing was that I'm used to coming home when it's colder. It was strange to go from hot to hot again. I guess that's not a huge deal.

Wow... *talks to self* Way to be Timmy, way to be! Joining a TR just as it's finishing. Epic fail... anyways... Another awesome last few chapters, this was a very fun trip to read about. I say Joaquin deserves an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award as well as a Grammy and AMA for his stunning performance of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star/Sun" *claps* What an original number! I know you are currently not here so I hope you are having a wonderful time at the World, can't wait to read all about that trip! Oh and I wanted to wish you a very Happy New Year!
