SHHH it is a surpise, if we can pull it off!

Paid off my trip and did online check in! Yippie, 46 days!!

I have hit the point of list making! I feel less organized for this trip because of not being able to talk about it openly!!

For the next 30 days I will be doing the photo pass + debate. An additional $149 seems like a lot to come up with but I also really want to try it this year. :)

we are definitely doing it when we go.....I have spent that on family portraits at Sears, I'm sure these pics will be much better than those for us!!!!!!:thumbsup2

We hit a local amusement park today! Boys had a blast and my 4yo liked every ride he tried. Held off on anything that might startle him before Disney. Fun had by all on a Balmy 70, yes 70 degree August day. Weird weather in western NY this summer!

I am all excited for you... wish it was us but next year we will be the lucky ones.......:):goodvibes

We are doing a surprise trip too! My kids DD (12), DD (9), and DS (5) think we are (hopefully) going at Christmas, little do they know that we will be leaving when they get out of school for fall break. When we first started talking about it with kids I wanted to go during christmas time to see the lights, then I got a pin for free dining and with that savings I couldn't pass up moving it up to September. The kids have no clue at this point, and I really have best of both worlds, I get to ask them hypothecial questions if we get to go during December and I have made all of our ADR based on that :)

Here is my plan:
We are driving and are actually leaving on mine and dh anniversay night, I'm going to tell the kids me and dh are going out to eat that night and they will have to stay at grandparents house, meanwhile I will be at my house sleeping and loading up the car for an all night road trip :) When we go pick them up around 8 or so, we will tell them we bought them a surprise while we were gone and I will have a big box with a Mickey Balloon with our Mickey Mail attached. The older ones will read and hopefully get it quickly and we will be out the door.

I love reading of your trip

Sounds great!! I hope it goes well, they will be thrilled:)
This is a one shot deal for us, my oldest will never trust me again about Disney!!

I would do it just so you know you will have pictures of the whole family. So many times one of you is behind the camera or you run out of room on your memory card or forgot to charge the camera. I ran out of room on my memory card one year and WDW wanted like $50 for a new one so I had to buy a photo cd to burn my existing pics to.

Stumbled across your report and I love it! Can't wait to hear more. Im so jealous that you can keep it a secret . We tried to keep our past trip a secret - but ended up telling our kids Christmas morning about their " surprise Mardi Gras trip " that was about 6 weeks away at the time . They were still excited - but I would have loved to have told them we would be leaving immediately ! Good for you - what great memories they will have !!!

Thanks! It had been hard but we are getting close now!

Came home and had Disney mail, I was so excited but it turned out just to be a payment invoice. Boo. It is weird that I did not get one for any other payments but I did get one for the last two?
Oh well, bottom line is it says 0.00 balance due!!

Non Disney update. I worked as a medic today at the PGA championship at Oak Hill. (Half day) had fun, saw a hole in one, and while trying to get to a patient in Tiger Woods crowds, I got a nod from Tiger who was hitting way in the ruff on 13! Pretty cool. Don't follow golf closely but there is something to be said for seeing it live.

WooHooooo! Congrats!
I WISH mine said 0 balance, but I still have a decent amount of time. We have NINE going on this trip, with a 5 day stop at Universal first, then the split stay at WDW...POR/BC. With the crazy airfare prices, this will be our most expensive vacation EVER! So the fact that it is about 80% paid for makes me feel pretty good actually. Now if the car rental rates will just come down to something close to the great deal we got last year, I will be much happier! :woohoo:
