Thinking about all of you... :goodvibes :grouphug:

Hope you're resting up, Melissa. Sorry you're in such pain. :worried:

Sarah, Jeanette, Kook and Dani: I'm doing my STAY AWAY, Sandy dancing for you... :cool1: Who else is in that area? They've evacuated about 50k people along the coast near where my parents live. One of the shelters is in their town so I'm hoping that means they think that area is safe enough.

Whoa, Candace. Excellent score on the Coach bags. :woohoo:

Janet: Way to GO! :worship: Hope you were wearing some padded bike shorts. Yowch!

You are so sweet! We are already getting lots of wind and it looks like the rain will start soon as well. The kids and I went for our walk before it started picking up too heavily. Right now my biggest concern is my clients that may be stuck in Disney! I have been on hold for over 45 minutes to change their flights.

Good to hear from you Dani! Hopefully you aren't too near the water. Good luck getting your clients home, fingers crossed I gather it is today or nothing for a few days.

Miss, hope your parents are warm and dry!

I made it home safe and sound!! No problem with flights ... Las Vegas to Sacramento was delayed a little bit but no big deal. :thumbsup2

All of you in the path of Sandy stay safe and dry .... lots of positive thoughts coming to you from the west coast! :grouphug:

Sarah - Sounds like you're prepared for the storm! I hope all goes well and you can get to your appointments Monday and Tuesday! Stay safe!

Janet - how was the bike ride? I hope you weather the storm okay and your roof does too ;)

i_heart - I don't blame you! I wouldn't want to be in the storm alone either, especially with four kiddos!

Jeanette - glad you're off until Friday after tonight. I hope you and your crew stay safe in the storm!!!

Candace - glad you got such great deals! definitely can't turn coach purses down at that price ;)

Hi to DetTigsGal, Muffycat, Jen and everyone else!!!

Well DD is saying she definitely doesn't want to have her birthday at Disney :( She said she wants to have a party with all her friends like she did last year. I'm not going to cancel YC yet, but I looked at the calendar and I don't know that I'm actually going to rebook for a different date. It makes me sad knowing that our February trip will be our last for a while and i wont get to meet Candace and her family! The spring rates are just so much higher than the fall and beginning of the year, maybe if I get a good bounce back offer or PIN I'll rebook for the spring. I need something to plan!!!!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Melissa

Doesn't want a YC birthday party???? :sad2:
That does make me sad that we won't be able to meet!!!

Nice!!! You should've picked up one for yourself Candace :goodvibes Glad you're headed home!!!

Awww no YC party...I think DD may change her mind after February :sad2:

You just never know, the RC apples tend not to fall very far from the tree ;)

How are you feeling???

We are all set here in the garage (and DH has the house prepped)

One of the local hospitals may evacuate, but probably not until tonight or tomorrow...so I am watching the clock waiting for 6pm to get home safely :goodvibes

I was not allowed to purchase one for myself. I have about 8 coach purses in my closet that don't get a ton of use....I love the one I have currently, but also....they recently came out with a Candace collection!!!! :hyper:
DH said I have to wait until Christmas.....:cutie:

I made it home too. :goodvibes
Glad everyone is hunkering down for the storm...we'll see what it brings, huh??? :wizard:

Nothing until Thursday for them! Hey, if I had to be stranded anywhere I would choose Disney!!! At least they get to spend Halloween in Disney and enjoy the festivities instead of spending the day traveling and stressed out.

We are right in the middle of the island so we aren't a flood zone. I'm not really stressing this storm. It is what it is and I can't change it. I'm just hoping my job is sensible this time and CLOSES. They even opened the day after that blizzard in 2010 when no one could even get out of their house. Seriously, they're so messed up.

And its the calm before the storm in the NE .....

Sarah, Dani, Pas, MM, Sheila ... it's coming for us ... be safe, been thinking of you all ... I wanted to make sure I posted today, in case we lose power (we are projected too).

Just rec'd a text from Pas .... they are evacuating near her neighborhood but as of this moment not their block .... but the "King of Prepareness" :) has been prepping for the storm, and they do have a generator ... so prayers that everyone remains safe.

Sarah, prayers that nothing goes amiss with your trial ...

GG: Happy you made it home safely!!

IHTM, DetTigGal, Melissa ... As Sarah posted, I made it all 27 miles, but my knees hurt!! Today, I am feeling good though. Beautiful, scenic ride and along Kelly Drive we got to see the rowers out!

Janet: Way to GO! :worship: Hope you were wearing some padded bike shorts. Yowch!

Miss, the tush didn't feel bad ... guess I just have too much padding of my own!)

Miss, do hope your parents will be safe.

I am doing okay. I hate the way the Vicodin makes me feel, but without it the pain is unbearable. I did cut down from 2 vicodins to one and added in some Motrin so I don't feel so looped. I just want to feel human again ;)

Melissa, do hope you can get feeling like yourself again .. it's always a trade off, pain meds, feeling loupy or tolerate the pain. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Janet Be safe, I wish it was over I am so dreading being without power again for days. :worried:

We were very lucky with Irene and the October storm of last year, but they have been talking about this for so long that they are making me nervous.

Kook: Stay warm and safe in VA ... happy you all will be home together over the next 2 days

That crazy Dani! Hopefully your work will close. I'm glad you live in-land but it will still be very powerful where you are. Please you and the kids stay safe.

I know Sheila, I am worried about you with no power. My DH was just saying tonight that he wants it here already so we can get thru it and deal with the aftermath. Stay focused and positive that you will retain your power!

Our schools have closed for Monday/Tuesday. DH works in Southern Jersey so with the state of emergency he's not going to work either. Me, since I work close, don't know what they will do. The real effects are supposed to hit around 4pm I think.

DetTigsGal ... somehow I've missed you are in Connecticut! Please be safe as well. I guess with your DIS name I associate you with living in Michigan. :goodvibes

Our schools are cancelled already too, and not a single drop of rain has fallen yet...:sad2:

The girls are super excited though!!

October used to be my favorite month...but between our earthquake last week and a hurricane this week, I'm looking for a new favorite month...

Work has been canceled thankfully. Danimal and I will spend the day together :). Janet I am going to text you in a while about August.

Stay safe everyone!!!

Watching the weather channel now! Stay safe everyone! I'm just south of Cincinnati so we're just suppose to get gusts up to 40 mph tomorrow. We are suppose to snow showers on Tuesday. :scared1:

I won't be passing out candy this year!! :rotfl:

 to my Friends! I am here....just been so very busy with this full time work schedule and trying to keep up at home....I didn't even get my Costco run in today! Might head there after work tomorrow. I am thinking of all of you, Dani and PAS, Janet , candace, and Melissa and Sarah and anyone else in the direct path of this storm! I hope you all stay safe and get through this unscathed. My inlaws live in BC and they just had a 7.7 earthquake the other day with Tsunami warnings. Thankfully they live far enough inland that they where fine, and no Tsunami.....natural disasters can be very scary though! So please stay safe my friends.Janet, my BFF is posted in Lewisberry PA right now and she said the hurricane is headed their way too.... I am thinking of you all and keeping you close, praying this is over fast with minimal to no damage!

next week Is going to be a hard one for me.....6 days straight due to having to attend mandatory training next Saturday for the new computer system the Govt/ corrections system is converting too! I'm not looking forward to this week at all!!!! I'm here with you all even if I can't stop in and chat as much as I wished I could!!!,
Stay safe and sending  s to you all!!!

Good luck my friends with Sandy!!!

My girls are off today and DH is staying with them. I am going in to work but if the National Guard gets activated, DH will have to go so I'll come home at that point. Fingers crossed that this isn't too bad! :sad2:

Sending my safe thoughts and well wishes to all of those about to encounter the storm!!! HUGS!!!!

Lots of rain and a some gusts have started here. We're suppose to start getting 60-70 mph gusts around dinner time. I think the worse of it will be tonight and tomorrow here in Northern VA. We made an all important run to Krispy Kreme yesterday! Schools are closed today and tomorrow and DH is even off today since the Federal Gov't is shut down.

How is everyone affected by Sandy faring? Is anyone in the blizzard zone in WVA? How about Dani near Staten Island? Have any of our NJ residents been affected yet?

Be safe everyone:grouphug:
