"She's Looking at Food Pictures Again!" A February Family Vacation! COMPLETE 8/14

Yeah, pricing is always the big issue with Disney! It's SO freakin' expensive! The thing that really kills you, I think, is the admission tickets. SO much money :scared1: At least you get what you're paying for... but when you're a kid and don't have a steady source of income... that's results in a problem. :rotfl:
I only went to Disneyland once when I was 12... and I don't remember. But I need to go back soon!! So I'll have to check it out as well.
And yeah :( It's just sad. It's a classic.
LOL good note taking. I love casey's in general... just that experience was a mess.
And hahaha here we goooo. :lmao: I am SO excited for her trip reports. FINALLY!!

LOL, it's not like I'm paying for the trip, though that would make it much easier :rotfl: And yeah, those admission tickets are awful. There are no discounts on those then everything else receives discounts. It's crazy, but totally worth the money :thumbsup2

I would just go to DL for the new Little Mermaid ride to see how it is before it comes to WDW. :goodvibes I also want to ride some of the retro-WDW rides that still exist in DL. They still have SWSA there, so that's good (though I heard WDW's was better).

LOL... I can only imagine what can happen when Kristen isn't protected by 1 and a half princesses hehehe Totally reading her TR ::yes::

Oh yeah... but I mean even just for one person it's a lot! Like for your friends. But if you have DVC points to take care of the hotel that helps A LOT. I wish there were ways to get more discounts  But doesn't everyone.
And yeah I want to go to Disneyland just to get different versions of the rides! Splash Mountain is supposedly better there. I remember Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean being WAY better there. And the Indiana Jones ride is awesome!! Ahh I wanna go back so I can see them now that I'm older!
And haha I'm excited to read hers! 2 days till her trip! :yay:

I think that's one of the worse parts. I know one already offered to pay, even when I didn't even mention anything about that. It was also when I wasn't even thinking of putting this trip together, but of course then it came to be. And thank goodness for the DVC or this would've been out the door awhile ago.

I've heard about their POTC and Space being better, as well as Indiana Jones being very fun, better than DINOSAUR (similar ride technology). I can't wait until the day I go there. :goodvibes

So lucky! She gets to check out the new Star Tours! (:

I stumbled upon your TR an I am loving it. I love how you rate all the restaurants that you been too. An it is much cheaper then paying OOP then it is on the DDP

How cute that there was a little bird on the fake tree inside Snow White!:cutie:

That was lucky (and quick thinking) to get 4 FP since the machine was borken. :thumbsup2

Aww well thank you for commenting and following! I'm glad your'e here!
Yes, I believe that it was some type of fish that she had. And well... hmm if you don't like seafood... I don't know how much you would like it. Seafood is definitely their main focus. I know they have steaks and such... so you could get around the seafood.. but I don't know. I would look into other options too.

Fultons is 100% DH's choice and I know it is VERY much looking foward to it, so as long as I can order something, I'll go to make him happy. :goodvibes

Haha but seriously. You should definitely be a DVC member when you're older. You get your money's worth after like 4 or 5 years haha
And yes, I agree, it is better than Dinosaur. I only vaguely remember it, but I remember I went on it a bunch of times because it was so awesome!
And oh yes, I forgot about that! I can't wait to see that next time :)

What a crazy afternoon in Casey's! That bun is HUGE...and the seagulls?? Ugh!

I know! What a frumpy mess! :(

I'm so glad you found it! And thank you! And yeah, I think it might be a bit cheaper. I have done the math a countless number of times... and it is almost the same. But for my family trips... I always book a TON of Table Service (that would exceed the number of credits) and I don't always want dessert. So, it's better if we go for the no DDP route in our case.

I know I loved him!
And haha yes, thankfully we are quick thinkers :thumbsup2
And aww well I am SURE you can find something! If he is looking forward to it, then I'm sure he'll love it! You can always get a salad or steak or something along those lines!

Chapter 20 - "That Guy" and His Daughter, The Galactic Hero
February 24th, 2011

After our crazy lunch, Dad suggested going on Laugh Floor. Everything else (like Pirates, Big Thunder, etc.) was really crowded. So we thought, why not?

dsc0287wc.jpg

HAHAHA that sign is fantastic. Roz is oddly one of my favorite Disney characters of all time. (You would never expect that out of a princess, now would you? haha) She just cracks me up!! I like to talk like her!

Thank Goodness Dad had the good idea to go on Laugh Floor! Turns out... He ended up being "THAT GUY!!"

dsc0289dm.jpg

The first time I ever went on Laugh Floor, I knew that would happen someday! And then it finally did! It was so funny! My Dad was a pretty awesome "that guy" if you ask me! (: He was hilarious!

We sat on the right side (if you're looking facing the stage) and I think it was behind that break in the middle where people can walk through. It might have been a row or two back. I don't know.

Anyways, he got a sticker! And I'm pretty sure that made our day!

dsc0290d.jpg

(And if those fingernails look a little feminine to you... Don't worry! My Dad isn't holding the sticker! That's my Mom. LOL)

Then we were going to head to Thunder Mountain, but we spotted that Buzz Lightyear had a 10 minute wait! Heck yes, we got in line!

dsc0294d.jpg

It was like fate because by the third room, I had the highest possible score you can get on Buzz Lightyear: 999,999!

dsc0292rx.jpg

I don't even know how I did it... but I know I hit the orange robot hands, the flying saucer, and the volcano. Those targets are worth a lot!

dsc0295wu.jpg

That was AWESOME!! I was so incredibly excited. I wish you got a prize for being a Galactic Hero! (even a sticker would do... LOL)

dsc0298n.jpg

Here are our ride photos:

dsc0302ap.jpg

We went on the PeopleMover after that, and then Dad and Jonathan decided to go into the Space Mountain Arcade.

Mom and I decided to go over to Main Street.

I bought a Scarf:

dsc0366a.jpg

And a Pink Mickey Key Chain:

dsc0369of.jpg

That is my favorite key chain EVER! I actually dropped it and broke it right before my April trip ): So I had to get a replacement. But the new one is in tact! Woohoo! I get so many compliments on it!

Then we took a lot of really pretty castle pictures!

dsc0319az.jpg

SEAGULL ATTACK!

dsc0307oe.jpg

Here's Mother:

dsc0311wj.jpg

This one is like a postcard!! I love it!

dsc0312f.jpg

SEAGULLS! AHHHHHH!!

dsc0316n.jpg

2 of my favorite people in the whole world: Walt and Mickey! ♥

dsc0321dv.jpg

Here's Me!

dsc0326kz.jpg

Then Dad and Jonathan met up with us in that central area, and we headed to Pirates of the Caribbean.

One line seemed shorter than the other, so Jon and I jumped in it while Mom and Dad stayed on our original side.

They basically ended up being the same length. LOL good experimenting!

Jon and I sat in the front. Next to us was a girl who was in the park by herself! SOLO TRAVELER!! She liked it because she could take her time and see the park at her own pace. Very cool!

Then we went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Jonathan didn't want to ride in the back (he isn't a big ride person... at least we finally got him to go on this one a few years ago!) so him and Mom rode in the train before us so they could be in the front.

Dad and I rode in the very last car! Woohoo!

dsc0331mx.jpg

dsc0332n.jpg

SEAGULL.

dsc0329uh.jpg

Then we went on Splash Mountain! We used our fastpasses... seriously, best invention of all TIME. Thank God for Fastpasses, they make the park experience a million times more enjoyable.

dsc0335fh.jpg

We were in the 2nd row for that ride!

dsc0334mu.jpg

After that, we went over to the Haunted Mansion!

Once again, another thing that had changed since January - the Hitch Hiking Ghost Scene was all different! They were animated... and I actually really like this new version! I was not aware they were changing that, but it was cool!

And I also wasn't aware that they were refurbing the grave stones. However, I found out that it was all for the new queue line! Pretty cool.

After Haunted Mansion, Dad and Jon left to go back to the room for a little bit. Mother and I decided to stay a little longer in Magic Kingdom.

Ohhh, that picture really does look like a postcard! Pretty!

I don't know what I would do without FP. Disney has forever spoiled me of waiting in lines for rides at theme parks/amusement parks. Really best invention ever.

I've never been on Snow White Scary Adventures. I don't entirely know why, I just haven't done it. This trip, I thought about doing it (since I might not get another chance) but the line was 45 MINUTES (!!!) and I was like "No thanks!" :rotfl:

As you know, birds TERRIFY me, so I don't think I would've lasted more than 5 minutes on "Seagull Island". Yuck. But your hot dog looks delicious so that's good at least. :upsidedow

I LOVE that Roz sign. It cracks me up every single time. She is such an excellent character.

How cool that your dad got picked to be "That Guy"! I didn't know that "That Guy" gets a sticker, but what a perfect little souvenir.

Nice job on Buzz, girl! I will be probably have a heart attack if I ever reach 999,999. I'm so bad at Buzz. I'm awesome at TSM, but I can never tell where I'm shooting on Buzz. I basically just hold the trigger down and move the gun around.

Those Castle pictures are GORGEOUS. :cloud9:

It sounds like you had a FABULOUS day at the Magic Kingdom thus far. I can't wait to see what's next!!

I seem to have missed a couple of updates so am catching up.

I'm sad to see Toontown blocked off like that but am excited about the future of Fantasyland! :cool1:

I can't wait to ride Snow White before it closes. Oh no on having a bad Casey's experience and all them sea gulls being let loose! Hope you have a better experience next time around.

Yay on your dad being 'that guy' at Laugh Factory! How cool!

Wow at your score on Buzz Lightyear!! :worship: Love the purchases and the castle shots.

That is so funny your dad ended up being "that guy"... :rotfl: I love Laugh Floor, we always get a good laugh every time we see it.

Jess you rock! Way to go on your score on Buzz. I don't think I could get 6 digits if I tried!

I just finished reading your bathrobe trip report and loved it. This one is going great too! Can't wait to see more of your pictures.

It sounds like this trip was fun :) I'm SO jealous that you've already gotten to go to Disney sooooo many times this year!

Yes, yes we are. Wands at the ready! Hahahaha :wizard:

Hahaha "Cast your charms to disarm, ONLY to disarm." Oh boy. If this is going down like that I call being Harry. :rotfl:

That will be one crazy TR...

You bet it will! :thumbsup2

It does count...

I saw that. I can read fine print ya know. It does NOT count.

:)

:sad2: Next time, Kristen, next time... ;)

You're on. :cool2:

Hahahaha, Timmy and Jess take over Kristen's TR *dun dun dunnnnnn*

I am very excited for this. :dance3:

Haha okay now I shall comment on the update:

Roz being one of your faves is definitely the frump emerging.

Awww, Father! I miss him! I bet he was a fantastic "That guy!"

Your parents. are. ADORABLE. :cutie:

YAYYY for you being a galactic hero! I am terrible at that game. :upsidedow

I LOVE that scarf. And your key chain. So cute!

OH NO! SEAGULLS! REE REE REEE REEEEE!!!! :scared1:

SPLASH MOUNTAINNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

You and Mother are precious little Commandos. I love it. :goodvibes

Ohhh, that picture really does look like a postcard! Pretty!

I don't know what I would do without FP. Disney has forever spoiled me of waiting in lines for rides at theme parks/amusement parks. Really best invention ever.

Aww thank you!
And hahaha Disney has spoiled us with EVERYTHING! My friends and I went to a local amusement park a few weeks ago and the WHOLE time we compared everything to Disney. We even sang the Splash Mountain song on the log flume :rotfl: But seriously, it was terrible compared to Disney. It's just not as clean, not as well themed, and I don't like waiting in those dang lines without my fastpasses!!

I've never been on Snow White Scary Adventures. I don't entirely know why, I just haven't done it. This trip, I thought about doing it (since I might not get another chance) but the line was 45 MINUTES (!!!) and I was like "No thanks!" :rotfl:

Yeah it's DEFINITELY not worth a 45 minute wait! Weird! I usually hop in line when it's like 10 minutes or something. I'm sad you won't be able to see it :( But oh well. You will live haha
And oh my God noo you would have HATED seagull island. Getting attacked by these seagulls all of the time has made me really not like birds haha
And oh... me too. Roz is just HILARIOUS. She kills me!
And aww I know! Isn't that the cutest sticker ever?! I love it! What a great souvenir!
And haha thanks! I am better at Buzz than TSM... but one day I'll get good! haha. I think the trick to Buzz is somehow finding your laser. I keep shooting in the same spot at the beginning till I find it.. and then I just follow the light around the whole time lol
And thank you!! I am sure I'll be doing an update soon!

I seem to have missed a couple of updates so am catching up.

I'm sad to see Toontown blocked off like that but am excited about the future of Fantasyland! :cool1:

No worries! The report will always be here for ya! (:
And aww I know... but it's a bittersweet sort of thing, I suppose!
Is Snow White still open? I can't remember the exact date it's planning on closing. And oh goodness, I hope so too! haha
Haha aww that was really cool! I think he enjoyed himself!
And hahaha thank you!

That is so funny your dad ended up being "that guy"... :rotfl: I love Laugh Floor, we always get a good laugh every time we see it.

Jess you rock! Way to go on your score on Buzz. I don't think I could get 6 digits if I tried!

That was awesome! It really is a great attraction! It is funny!
And aww thank you! I bet you could do it! It just takes some practice!

I just finished reading your bathrobe trip report and loved it. This one is going great too! Can't wait to see more of your pictures.

Aww thank you for reading!! I am sure I'll update soon!

It sounds like this trip was fun :) I'm SO jealous that you've already gotten to go to Disney sooooo many times this year!

Aww thanks it was! And haha aww I love Disney so much, so I really appreciate every possible second that I have the chance to be there :goodvibes It's like my home.

I am very excited for this. :dance3:

Hahaha very true.
And aww he was! What an angel.
Thank you!
And YAYYY! It was so cool! One day you'll be good. I'll teach ya my secrets... :rolleyes1 (yeah I really have no idea what i'm doing.)
And thank you!!
And hahahahahaha seagulls. The frumpiest of all birds. Besides the doe-doe bird.
And eeeep ONE DAY.
And thank you haha. We are (:

Fun that your dad was "That Guy!!!" I love trying to look around to see where the "that guy" is sitting. I also like to try and see if i see them later in the day anywhere. SOOOOO COOL about your buzz lightyear score :) I haven't gotten anywhere near that score or ranking!!!!! My highest rank ever was planetary pilot. it is my mission to get 999,999 points though. definitely aiming for all the targets you remembered hitting. Also fun that you and your dad got the back row on big thunder mountain :) I have gotten to the point where i enjoy big thunder so much more at night. i like to spend lots of time on that ride in evening EMH :) One time they let us ride 3 times in a row at night because no one else was in line :) Your scarf you bought was cute as well. my fav disney fashion item would defintely be the hats :)

You have solidified my reasoning in that I am the WORST at Buzz. I always get the lowest score, I bet young children get higher scores than me!

I love the seagull shots, it's like Alfred Hitchcock's 'The Birds'.

I dream of Casey's hotdogs on the regular. Last week I said to my niece, 'If they made perfume that smelled like the inside of Casey's Corner, I'd bathe myself in it!'

So I was going through my Disney photos from last year, and came across this one and was reminded of the Deer Face, since this is the deer mask in the EE queue :lmao:

Disney1383-1.jpg

Anyway, I hope Kristen is enjoying her trip, and making LOTS of the real deer face :thumbsup2

I'm sure you'll get that rank one day! It only took me... 12 years of intense training :rotfl: Yeah, aim for those targets... They're the best!
And aww I LOVE BTMR at night! One of my favorite things! That has happened to me too about the CM's letting us ride multiple times in a row. I think that actually happened the night before my 13th Birthday. So fun!
And aww thank you! I actually have never bought a Disney hat for myself. But they are fun to look at!

And HAHAHA oh my gosh... my freshman year english teacher showed us a clip of that movie on halloween... CREEPY! You're so right though :lmao:
And mmm me too. They're just so good!! And hahaha that's hilarious. It really does smell good in there, doesn't it!?

HAHAHAHAHA oh my God.. that's what Kristen and I would call "The Angry Deer Face." :rotfl: Thank you for sharing that. I got a good laugh out of it.
And aww I bet she is! She went to Chef Mickey's last night, got to ride splash mountain this morning, and got to meet a cute aladdin. I think she's having a great time so far :thumbsup2
