"She's Looking at Food Pictures Again!" A February Family Vacation! COMPLETE 8/14

Wow that dessert looks amazing, Fulton's is one we have been considering trying but the prices keep me from actually booking it.

I love love love your ring...how adorable!

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

Love the color shirt you got:goodvibes

Thank you! I like it too! :)

We haven't been to Fulton's since 2002...looks like it's as good as it was then;)

Cookie from Ghiradelli's? Just added that to our list .... thank you!! I think I'll pick some up and just keep them in the fridge at the resort! Your description had my mouth watering...my Jasmine loves cookies!!

I love your ring...it's beautiful! I like to buy one thing every trip that I will use or see everyday to remind me that's why I get up and go to work everyday....:woohoo:

Yeah it was good! I think that the prices look a lot different now than they looked in 2002, though :lmao:
And YAY i'm so glad you are going to get one. BEST COOKIES EVER! I'm gonna get some next time I'm there to take back to the room because they're fantastic! She's gonna love them!
And aww thank you! The ring is definitely a good reminder! There were lots of little styles... and only true disney lovers notice the hidden mickeys on them :)

:mickeybarJess's food of the day!:mickeybar

Hahahaha YES! I really should start doing that.

Oh no on having a loud group next to you during your meal - that must have been a bit annoying! Lol at their AK conversation though!

I also love the picture of your parents. Yeah your dad's plate doesn't look like it has many crab legs on it. I was reading a review on the dining boards that showed pics of the crab legs from last time they went and compared them with this time - let's just say you could definitely spot the difference! :lmao:

Mmm your dessert looks delicious and I love, love, love your Mickey ring - I'm going to see if I can find one similar to it during our trip.

Your bus does not sound healthy and yay on beating it on the way back! :thumbsup2

I know! You can see a few of them in the picture of my parents in the background LOL
And yeahhh he did not get a lot! It's really sad how they've raised the prices and skimped on the meals. That's why we're taking a break for now.
And nooo it was a little scary! Good thing we made it back without a break down!

I've never tried Fulton's! What gives, mom and dad? We apparently only stick to family favorites nowadays. I'm making a list of all the places I see of delicious foods on this website :yay: I looove calamari. And your ring is totally precious, by the way! If I had seen it before I definitely could have complimented you on it:lovestruc

Haha it's okay! That's how I was before this year! You'll have to start writing down places you want to visit and introduce the ideas to your parents so they can see all of the amazing options out there!
And aww thank you! I'm surprised I didn't ever show it to you!

Ghiradelli's is always crazy, we ordered ice cream and it took awhile but it was worth it. Long lines at Disney yup, but at Carlos Bakery in NJ wish someone would have let me know.

Ugh I know! It's nuts! And oh boy! haha they must have good food!

I've been following all your trip report, but I think this might be the first time I comment. I love reading them!

I was wondering, what your mom had at Fulton's, did it have any seafood/fish in it? If not, did she like it? I'm going to eat there with my new husband as our "romantic" dinner, but I don't like seafood so I was wondering how it was there for someone like me. (He's the big seafood fanatic).

Aww well thank you for commenting and following! I'm glad your'e here!
Yes, I believe that it was some type of fish that she had. And well... hmm if you don't like seafood... I don't know how much you would like it. Seafood is definitely their main focus. I know they have steaks and such... so you could get around the seafood.. but I don't know. I would look into other options too.

Wow that dessert looks amazing, Fulton's is one we have been considering trying but the prices keep me from actually booking it.

I love love love your ring...how adorable!

Can't wait for more:goodvibes

It sure was! And ugh I don't blame you. We're taking a break for a while... too much money :scared1:
And thank you very much! :)

Mmmm I want a cookie now! Your TR has that effect on me! :lmao:

I love your ring! A friend at church went to WDW in June, and came home with the same treasure! I love it!!!! :thumbsup2

Oh and your new shirt is super cute too! Good choice!

All caught up.

Man, that dinner at Fulton's looks really good! I haven't eaten at that restaurant since it was the Lily Belle back in the day.

Yup, dating myself again. :lmao:

Good for you doing homework at WDW! I have been in that position before, so I feel your pain. But in the long run, it's always best to just get it out of the way, no matter how much you don't want to.

Homework at Disney? Isn't that what the flights are for? I do feel sorry for you, that's nearly as bad as spending a Disney afternoon doing laundry.

Fulton's looks great. I've never been, but those crab legs look so good. Maybe someday.

Mmmmmm Fulton's looks really yummy. I've become quite the seafood fan over the past year so I'll definitely have to eat there sometime. Although, maybe not if the prices are so insane...but that Sour Cherry Cobbler does sound delicious.

Your ring is adorable! I have a plain Mickey head ring that I got at Disney a few years ago and wear quite frequently and a Disney Couture ring that spells out 'Believe' in cursive which has become my everyday ring. I love it so much!

As you'll see in my TR, my family wound up buying those t-shirts because we wanted to be lame and take family pictures at MK. We all got different different colors and mine's pink. I love it.

Oh gosh, we were on a bus that had similar issues. I can't remember exactly where we were right now, but I was convinced the bus was going to break down and we'd have to sit on the side of the road for hours until they fixed it or brought another bus. It was awful.

Oh, Fulton's Crab House... I've really wanted to go there. I'm a huge fan of seafood and while salmon, cod and haddock show up, I have those everyday, but I love old fashioned, New England style seafood. It's sounds like that's what this place is all about. Sorry about the loud, newbies next to you. And seriously, AK a zoo? I'm surprised you managed to stay quiet, I would've been yelling my head off at them. ;) LOL @ the whole Snook the Fish to Snooki comment

As I said, I'm all for old fashioned styled seafood, so New England clam chowder... totally my thing! :thumbsup2 The crab legs look and sound like they were awesome, same with desserts but... all desserts look good hehehe ;) I will definitely have to try Fulton's Crab House now. ::yes::

Ooooo... nice ring. It reminds me a lot of the necklace I got for my sister when I was last down in a Disney. It wasn't entirely Disney themed, but it had this tiny little Hidden Mickey like your ring. Very pretty :cutie: I also like that shirt, I've seen them a few times and I really want one now. LOL @ the Car Sticker for Kristen, I should get something like that for my sixteenth birthday.

Waiting forever to get a cookie... totally do it and based on the fact this cookie was the best cookie ever, even more probable :thumbsup2

Glad to see you made it back to the resort safely. That bus didn't sound like it was in good shape. Thank goodness it didn't just suddenly break down... I'm sure some Pixie Dust was involved there (; And is that what Rapunzel means? I saw like twenty of those on my last trip, pretty much the same time as this one. They bothered me so much, though most of them seemed to be fine... it is a mystery to remain unsolved :/

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Hooray!
And haha I never even knew it was ever called the Lily Belle! Not that that helped the situation... :lmao:
And thank you! I tried. I always try to get it done because if I don't it just hangs over my head and drives me crazy until it's done!

Homework at Disney? Isn't that what the flights are for? I do feel sorry for you, that's nearly as bad as spending a Disney afternoon doing laundry.

Fulton's looks great. I've never been, but those crab legs look so good. Maybe someday.

Hahaha oh trust me, I tried to finish it on the flights... but there was SO MUCH to do! It was not okay. And oh no that sounds awful too :(
It was good! Maybe one day. Just make sure you win the lottery beforehand :lmao:

Yeah... just go for the cobbler. :rotfl: Just kidding. The seafood is good, too. You just have to search for a food you can justify the price for!
And thank you! Oh those both sound REALLY cute! I kind of want to get another one on my next trip!
And LOL that's super cute!! I almost got the pink one actually! Did anyone in your family get lime green?
And oh boy... yeah, that's what I thought too! I hate technical difficulties.

Haha yes, I'm sure you would be able to find just what you like at Fulton's! Seafood is the specialty!
And oh yeah... I was trying not to yell at them. But I was telling my Mother... she knew they were driving me nuts. :rotfl:
And haha Snooks ♥
Mmmm I LOVE clam chowder. I'm mad because someone told me how bad it is for you.... so I've been trying to not eat as much of it. But DANG that's my favorite!
And haha thanks! I was happy with all of my souvenir choices as well!
And yes! I LOVE COOKIES!
Yeah, I assume that those busses are like training busses or busses with issues. I'm not really sure! Maybe I'll find out someday when I'm a cast member! Oh wait, so will you! ;)

Well I have to wait 4 years, ugghh... still have to finish High School (before it finishes me off, first). :teeth:

Haha yes, it was lots of fun talking to him! And yeah you DEFINITELY should do the internship program! I can really tell that you have a passion for Disney (just like I do!) so you should make it a priority to do the internship program... even if it's just for like the short 3 month period! I'm sure you would love it! I can tell that I will :) I'm more excited for that than college itself!

Well you gotta tell me how it is from your perspective. I know someone that I met on here who I think either just got back or is coming back soon from the DCP. I can't wait to ask her about the program itself. She was down there for six months and I think that's the shorter time frame of the ones you can choose from. I still have awhile until the time comes for college and the chance to do that program, but I still can know all I can know, so I'll be prepared for the day I send in my application. :goodvibes And if you do end up getting next year, try to go for the spring session, that's when the girl I know was there and she was there from... February to... well the end of July, and that's when I'll be going for my sweet 16. DISMEET!!!!!

Well I have to wait 4 years, ugghh... still have to finish High School (before it finishes me off, first). :teeth:

Haha don't worry! High school is fantastic! :) Enjoy every minute of it!

And I definitely will! I actually am planning on doing it my sophomore year (I want to get college established first ) so I will let you know when that day comes! And aww I bet that girl will have so much fun! Actually I think it's 3 months and 6 months, isn't it? And oh are you really going to Disney for your 16th birthday? That's awesome!

Haha don't worry! High school is fantastic! :) Enjoy every minute of it!

Oops, I meant 3 years... LOL Just finished freshman year :P

:thumbsup2 I think you'll be more likely to get in then. Not a lot of Freshman in College get in. The girl I know was VERY lucky to get in.

Oh really? Hmmm... you probably know more than me anyways. I would totally do the six months, make up for those lost childhood trips ya know?

Yep, seems more and more realistic now. My mom isn't even as... Oh, well we have to talk to your father, she seems interested. I can be very convincing (and persuasive when I want to), especially when it comes to Disney. :teeth:

YAY for swimming! And I would totally fall in too. No worries...we all have some frump in us. :rotfl:

Hooray for Wolfgangg. I want to try Mother's soup and the creme brulee, of course, and my Mom wants to try Mother's salad. :thumbsup2

OHHHH GHIRADELLI'S, aka dessert of the Disney gods. The tables are too cute, I've always loved them, but we always sit outside at the tables by the water and take it all in, because we usually end up there on the first night of the trip! I am in LOVE with their banana splits and the Cable Car. Just SO good! Of course your Dad got a strawberry smoothie...gotta love him.

HAHA GOOD MORNING! Breakfast. :goodvibes A great reason to get up, really. That french toast looks DIVINE.

I don't even want to discuss the sadness that is that picture. I have developed a new rule: THERE ARE NO ACADEMICS IN DISNEY.

Awww Josh. Your Disney boy who you fell in love with and I STILL hear about. How freakin' precious. I'm sure he thought you were cute too. :lovestruc Jess and Josh...how adorable. :goodvibes

But may I ask...WHY are the cute ones always from random states that start with a "K"??? This I do not understand. Maybe these random states are worth a shot...Kentucky DOES have good chicken...:rotfl2:

Aww of course he left the day we did. :( But you guys were there at the same timee... hehehe.

FREE PARK ADMISSION!?!?! Okay, I am officially SOLD. Not that I already wasn't...but now I really really REALLYYY wanna do it...I can just ride Splash Mountain in all my spare time...oh blissful frump water rides. :cloud9:

How precious, you and Jonathan with your smoothies. THAT is a happy Jess face. :yay:

I wanna do Characters in Flight too! But everyone I go with is afraid of heights. :( Next time we go together, we're doing it. :thumbsup2

Aww French Quarter.   I'll be there in ONE WEEK!!!!!! :woohoo:

IT'S A SEA SERPENT. HAHAHAHA.

DEER FATHER. What an angel.

AWW Josh is a good guy. YAYYY THEY DO EXIST! :cheer2:

HAHAHAHAHAHA. "NAHTAZU NAHTAZU!!!" LOL. I love you princess. I would do the EXACT same thing. Oh my lord I just died a little. I'm still laughing.

SNOOK!!!!! OMGGG I want that fish mounted on MY wall. That is brillance.

AWWWW Mother and Father. OMG they're adorableee. Love them!

Jonathan knows where it's at with his seafood. YUM. crab legs. :cloud9: And the clam chowder and your desserts look delish too! :thumbsup2

HAHA I love my monorail sticker. It's beautiful.

Nat would go crazy for one of those cookies...which is why I must bring one back for her. Yay.

These buses...they're tryin' to kill ya! :rotfl:

Yeah, there are not a lot of freshmen! I met a few... but not a lot!
And yeah, I'm definitely doing the longest one possible! Maybe i'll just do it twice!
And haha well that's very good! Good luck with that - i hope you get to go!!! Ahh popping the Disney question.. such good times. It's good to have a disney obsessed parent in those situations! Do you want to go with your family for that trip?

YAY for swimming! And I would totally fall in too. No worries...we all have some frump in us.

hahaha it's so true.

Hooray for Wolfgangg. I want to try Mother's soup and the creme brulee, of course, and my Mom wants to try Mother's salad.

hahaha you all and your fancy dishes. I'm like... GIVE ME THE PIZZA AND THE ICE CREAM! :rotfl:

OHHHH GHIRADELLI'S, aka dessert of the Disney gods. The tables are too cute, I've always loved them, but we always sit outside at the tables by the water and take it all in, because we usually end up there on the first night of the trip! I am in LOVE with their banana splits and the Cable Car. Just SO good! Of course your Dad got a strawberry smoothie...gotta love him.

Yeah i'm basically in love with that place. I never even noticed the tables until this trip! Very cute! Mmmm yum!

HAHA GOOD MORNING! Breakfast. :goodvibes A great reason to get up, really. That french toast looks DIVINE.

When you typed that I just thought of that part of the video when you turn the camera towards your face and you're like "GOOD MORNING!" hahaha i love how quotable that movie is!! And mmm yes, the only reason I wake up in the morning: Food.

I don't even want to discuss the sadness that is that picture. I have developed a new rule: THERE ARE NO ACADEMICS IN DISNEY.

Hahaha then definitely don't take a trip to Disney on the February break of your senior year when you're taking AP English and Calculus :rotfl:

Awww Josh. Your Disney boy who you fell in love with and I STILL hear about. How freakin' precious. I'm sure he thought you were cute too. :lovestruc Jess and Josh...how adorable.

I was ready to marry him right on the spot hahahaha. ANGEL! He was precious.

But may I ask...WHY are the cute ones always from random states that start with a "K"??? This I do not understand. Maybe these random states are worth a shot...Kentucky DOES have good chicken...:rotfl2:

Okay... if all else fails, we're moving to a K state. For the boys... but eh mostly so we can mend our broken hearts with chicken. :lmao:

Aww of course he left the day we did. But you guys were there at the same timee... hehehe.

No he GOT there the day we left! So we were all in Disney on the SAME DAY! What a life.

FREE PARK ADMISSION!?!?! Okay, I am officially SOLD. Not that I already wasn't...but now I really really REALLYYY wanna do it...I can just ride Splash Mountain in all my spare time...oh blissful frump water rides. :cloud9:

Yeah I decided that my exercise is going to be (whenever i'm not working at night) to just go to Epcot and walk around the World Showcase during illuminations. I'm gonna be in GREAT shape. Hooray for perks!!

How precious, you and Jonathan with your smoothies. THAT is a happy Jess face. :yay:

YEAH it is! LOL it's not every day that I drink something besides water! :rotfl:

I wanna do Characters in Flight too! But everyone I go with is afraid of heights. :( Next time we go together, we're doing it. :thumbsup2

Okayy!! We'll have to definitely keep that in mind!

Aww French Quarter.   I'll be there in ONE WEEK!!!!!! :woohoo:

YAYYYYYYYYYYY! Oh shoot I'm getting my wisdom teeth out in a week WAHHHH :( :(

IT'S A SEA SERPENT. HAHAHAHA.

I just really don't. know. I'm a failure.

DEER FATHER. What an angel.

I'm very glad you appreciated that hahaha

AWW Josh is a good guy. YAYYY THEY DO EXIST! :cheer2:

He gave me HOPE.

HAHAHAHAHAHA. "NAHTAZU NAHTAZU!!!" LOL. I love you princess. I would do the EXACT same thing. Oh my lord I just died a little. I'm still laughing.

Hahahaha so funny. I'm SUCH a diser.

SNOOK!!!!! OMGGG I want that fish mounted on MY wall. That is brillance.

Aww snooks. Yeah, I'm like... what's this random sword fish hanging on the wall in my living room? i want a snook fish!!

AWWWW Mother and Father. OMG they're adorableee. Love them!

Precious people <3

Jonathan knows where it's at with his seafood. YUM. crab legs. :cloud9: And the clam chowder and your desserts look delish too! :thumbsup2

I just love all food. And so does he! (actually just kidding, he's a picky eater. but he's gotten a LOT better)

HAHA I love my monorail sticker. It's beautiful.

Yeah I have to say, that was a good buy!

Nat would go crazy for one of those cookies...which is why I must bring one back for her. Yay.

VERY true! Mmmm they're so good!

These buses...they're tryin' to kill ya! :rotfl:

They just hate me, that's all. LOL

Food is a VERY good reason to get up. And yes I quote myself ALL the time.

Okay so while you're walking around World Showcase I'll be stuffing my face with school bread, and then I'll go to Magic Kingdom and ride it off on Splash Mountain. Maybe you burn calories on the drop... :rotfl2:

Yeah, there are not a lot of freshmen! I met a few... but not a lot!
And yeah, I'm definitely doing the longest one possible! Maybe i'll just do it twice!
And haha well that's very good! Good luck with that - i hope you get to go!!! Ahh popping the Disney question.. such good times. It's good to have a disney obsessed parent in those situations! Do you want to go with your family for that trip?

When I was there, I think I remember most of them were sophomores, so it's probably more likely as a Sophomore in college you'll get in. :thumbsup2

I wouldn't be going with my family, just with my mom, since she actually enjoys Disney. She isn't exactly obsessed, but she enjoys it to where she would enjoy another trip. I'm also hoping to bring two or one other friend as well. I've already talked with them and one of them said he would pay for his whole portion, no question. And we know a DVC member who lent us some points for our first trip and my mom's already talked to her about the possibility. I'm happy that we've gotten that far. :thumbsup2

Homework on vacation?! Very ambitious of you! I am in grad school, and so I am constantly writing papers. I remember on my last trip, I was writing a paper on the plane ride down to Orlando. But my computer battery wouldn't last too long, so at some point I started handwriting the paper. It was pretty silly and could have been avoided if I had not procrastinated lol.

The boats look fun! It is good that you got to talk about the college program with a cute guy.:)

Fulton's looks yummy. LOVE the ring! What a great souvenir!

Get out! I need that Mickey ring! I just went on the Disney store website to see if it was on there and it wasn't. Hopefully they still have it in October!

Fulton's Crab House used to be so much better when it was still owned by Disney and was the Empress Lilly. My parents ate at Fulton's a few years ago and were so disappointed in the food and how expensive it was!

Boo for homework at Disney! :guilty::sad2: That banana toast looks SO good! I got so lucky last year because I went a month and a half before graduation so I was already done with everything for the year! Josh sounds INCREDIBLE!!!! I think we have a common liking for Disney boys :lovestruc:lovestruc  I've always wanted to do the Disney College program but they don't have any health related career's as a major....I digress :( Sounds like the smoothies were yummy! The characters in flight balloon hadn't opened yet when I was there, but it looks cool! I've never been to fulton's, but it sounds good! I've always loved the lego sea serpent too! We are so much alike! I am really lucky because here in Missouri we have a place called legends which is basically an outdoor mall and it has restaurants and stuff like that! Anyways, that is the only other place besides Downtown Disney that has a T-Rex restaurant! I've been there four times I think, and every single time the food has been delicious! You pay more for the atmosphere, but still, it is incredibly cool! It's basically rainforest cafe but themed more with Dinosaurs and earlier animals! I stayed at Saratoga Springs three years ago with my grandparents and my brother and it was really nice! I loved the pool and the restaurants, but I didn't like the walking! We had to take a bus to get back to our room or to get to the pool or anything like that.....otherwise it was a 30 min walk :scared1: NEVER again! Next time I will request a closer building!! The characters in flight picture is so cool! I love when I take pictures and I don't find out until later that I got an amazing shot! I've always thought that french quarter was prettier than riverside but only because of the colors! Me and my mom stopped there one day last trip and ate at Sassagoula when we were there! I liked the theming of riverside SO much more though! Next trip you should definitely try to stay at riverside! I would say it's more for a girls trip though! Me and my mom stayed there last trip and it was GORGEOUS!!!!! I  it! We never did eat at Boatwrights...but that was only because we made so many ADR's and character dining ADR's that we ate all of our hotel meals in the food court! I've never been to OKW, is it nice? I know that on my next trip i'm going to dedicate one day to resort hopping! I'm going to go to every hotel on property so that I can experience them all! The pontoon looked like fun! Love your updates!

Love the first picture of Fulton's! The cherry or magnolia (not sure which) makes it all the more better!!!! That would suck to have people like that next to you!
"Is Animal Kingdom a zoo?"
"Yea" LOLLLLLLLLL :rotfl2::laughing: I think that is literally the funniest thing i've heard all day!!
Lol Snooki....I don't watch Jershey shore either! That's a really sweet picture of your parents! Aghhh! That fried calamari looks so delicous! Your making me hungry :cutie: I also love clam chowder!!!!! YUMMM crab legs!!!! The only part of the dessert that I would eat would have been the ice cram  I am just not a fan of sour anything or fruit desserts! (unless it involves marischino cherries!) Your ring is adorable!!!!! I have a mickey ring that I got in Disney a few years back! It's the Mickey ears in baby blue with a diamond in the middle and a pink bow on it's ear! I love that ring! I got one of those shirts too! I think because they were only like $15 I knew that I had to get one! I bought the hot pink one! I have been wanting to get the monorail sticker for my car! I did buy the girl stick figure with the mickey hat on and it's on the back windshield of my car! Right across from tinkerbell! I've never been to ghiradelli's! I know.....sin sin sin! Hah! Rapunzel! Is that a new park?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?
