We would love to stay at the PPH or DLH for our first DL visit in July 2013. But if budget doesn't allow it would the Sheraton at the Park be a good choice? I am trying maybe to pick an "hotel" priced between the on-site resorts vs the small motels. We are not against the longer walk,or the ART. Is the Toy Story parking shuttles an option? I noticed it was close by. How is the walk from the parks back to the Sheraton late at night. I am thinking there should be lots of other guests during the summer season.

We stayed here two weeks ago...no complaints...nice pool area...the walk was totally easy even for the four year old in our group. Fridge are tiny as are the closets.we had five in our room too cozy to repeat but for four it was just fine. Nice , clean, some upgraded amenities from the motels.

Great to hear! We are only a family of three and our DS is 12. So no problems with walking! I thought it would be nice to have a more landscape pool area, restaurants in the hotel and a balcony. I might even go for club level because we were considering the Disney hotels rates anyways.:)

We have stayed there once in 2004 and again just in June. Rooms are laid out well. Fridges are small but manageable and I like the in room safe. Pool was nice and warm when we were there. We ate (Pick up and brought back to room) at the family restaurant. Promo gave us a gift card for food use.
We tried the Disney bus to Toy Story Lot and found it easy to use, especially when you have walked after a long day in the part. We also walked to the park from the Sheraton an found it a easy walk.
Clean rooms and friendly service = recommendation to stay

We also stayed there two weeks ago - maybe we passed each other in the elevator!

This was actually our second stay - we like the hotel, the location isn't terrible and enjoy the amenities. The pool area is pleasant with lots of seating and some shade which was a godsend during those 105 degree days!

We don't find the walk too too bad... at least it wasn't when we were there the May before last but it was a bit of a chore when it was so hot so if you are going in the summer months be warned. There is the ART shuttle but I find it frustrating that sometimes I have to wait for longer than it would take me to walk :rolleyes2

With both of our stays, booked through a travel company, we received gift cards which could be used at the attached Molly's Restaurant, the pool bar, room service and the southwestern restaurant ( HUGE PORTIONS btw ). For our last stay this totalled $ 200.00 per room for our weeks stay. It would be worth asking about this added perk.

We have stayed on the 6th and 7th floors respectively and each time we faced the backside of the carsland ride and could view the fireworks. HTH! :goodvibes

Awesome especially now that someone confirmed the option of using the Toy Story lot shuttles. I think we would be much more comfortable in a "hotel"

We stayed there a month ago. We loved it and will stay again.

Pool area was nice... Loved the landscaping and how secluded it felt. Not just a pool plopped in the middle in a parking lot like other area hotels/motels. It was clean! Beds were very comfortable. Closet was decent and the safe was big. Bathroom was a bit small, but the sink/vanity was outside the toilet/shower room. For our family of four it was fine. Staff were wonderful.

We did go for concierge. Stayed on the 12th floor Disney view. Was good for the kids to see the lights on Paradise Pier at night/early morning. We could see WOC and fireworks. Concierge breakfast was nice. Fresh fruit, pastries, muffins, hard boiled eggs, breads, bagels with toasters and jams, peanut butter cream cheese etc. There was a nice selection of cereals, yogurts, juices, milks ad oatmeal. Oh, and there is a Starbucks coffee machine that makes coffee, lattes and cappuccinos. That was great! Had one with breakfast and took one to go to drink during our walk over to DL. Happy hour was nice with 2 hot appies, fruit, veggies, cheese and crackers and mixed drinks, wine and beer gratis. Also could go and grab bottled water, pop etc anytime. The breakfast saved us time in the mornings too.

We walked no problem. We even walked back for a swim break most days. DD and I stayed late one night on our own and walked back by ourselves. Felt very safe.

I would love to stay on property, but can't justify the extra cost. We can afford it, but I think of all we can do with that money. I would much rather stay an extra few days!!!

Hope that helped! I know I agonized over where we were going to stay!
