Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Hi Sharon,

I know you are frustrated. You are doing a great job getting to Curves, and mall walking definately counts as exercise. I hope you have a great day with your Mom. Keep the water going to combat the bloat fairy.

Take care of yourself today,
Beth

Soo...... how was the shopping? I hope you managed to score some great buys while you were at the mall!

I haven't ever used the WW website, so I can't compare the two sites. After a week or two of entering info into fitday.com, I was able to see where my eating was off (even though I was within the points range). That's cool if WW offers you that same ability!

Just another thought.... are you eating mainly WW foods? Like WW bread, etc? I have also found that going away from the heavily processed foods towards somewhat more nature foods helped. Ex: I will have 1 slice of 100% Stone Ground Whole Wheat bread, instead of a slice of 0 pt bread. I am not a big fan of hot dogs (those need to come from the ball park ;) ), but I have friends that live on fat free hot dogs. What's in those?!?

I don't know if I am explaining what I mean very clearly, but maybe a trend towards more whole foods, but within points, will help get things moving again. :) One of these times I am going to think of something good! You are sticking with it and THAT'S what counts!!! :jumping4:

Hello All!

Sorry I haven't been around for so long. It has been even more hectic than usual for me. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers despite my not posting regularly.

The food has not gone so well. TOM arrived last Thur and I was on the binge express! :guilty: The good thing was that I went to Curves on Sat morning, so I made it there 3 times last week! Yeah for me! :smooth: Terry, I know exactly what you mean about the less processed foods. Doe pointed that out to me last spring also. Unfortunately, with my schedule, I often end up with the over processed foods. :( But I certainly appreciate the reminder. Especially at this time of the year, it is too easy to opt for the prepared foods rather than the natural foods. Thank you for the reminder my friend! :flower:

I have my clothes with me to stop at Curves tonight, but the weather doesn't look too good. Apparently the roads are quite icy right now. :worried: And to add to my worries, DD is on a field trip to NYC today. The bus was supposed to leave there about 5:00 pm to head home. I hope they don't hit too much traffic and they arrive home safely!! :worried:

So much going on right now, but I did want to stop by and say hello to everyone. I hope to get to everyone's journals in the next day or two. Take good care of yourselves! :flower1:

Hi Sharon,

I hate TOM. Enough said. Great job making it to Curves 3x last week.

I will send a prayer that your daughter makes it home safely. You be careful on the roads today.
Beth

Hi Sharon!

Just checking in on you. I have been away from the journals for a couple of days and wanted to check up on my WISH buddies. :)

Tomorrow is Friday! :cool1:

 Hi Sharon,
I hope you have jumped off that binge express and TOM is on it's way out :moped: . Take care :D .

Hi Sharon!
I know how hectic the holidays can be. Hmm... somehow, as a child I don't remember it being stressful time. ;) I hope all is well with you! Stop by and say HI when you get a moment!

 Hi Sharon,
Just stopping by to tell you that I'm thinking of you. Take care and stay warm. I hear we are in for some more COOOLD weather  .

Hi All!

Yes, I'm still around. I've been doing a lot of lurking lately. I haven't had time to post, but I have been trying to keep up with everyone! Terry and Val, thank you so much for thinking of me! :grouphug:

I am doing okay. I have managed to shed a couple of those TOM pounds. I am holding steady at about 181.5. I am not happy at this weight! I am disgusted with myself, but I am still not ready to give up! :jumping4: I am just gonna hold my own for the next week or two and then jump back on the wagon full force! I WILL lose this weight, some how, some way!

I have not been exercising, but I will go back to Curves starting next week. Other than xmas shopping and running up and down stairs at home, I haven't gotten anything else in as far as exercise.

It is C-O-L-D here today! Right now it is about 10 degrees out and the wind is blowing at about 30 miles per hour! YUCK! We received about 3 inches of snow and it is blowing like crazy. Horrible driving conditions! :sad2:

Thanks again for keeping me in your thoughts! Rest assured, you are all in MY thoughts and prayers! What wonderful friends you all are! :hyper:

Hi Sharon,

I am struggling right there with you. let's do this together.

I am sending warm thoughts your way. It is 5 degrees here and windy too.

Take care and happy holidays.

Hi Sharon,

For me, the holidays have always been a difficult time eating-wise because I love the get togethers with family and all of the yummy food. I have decided not to get on the scale until January 1st because I know I did some damage to my weight while in WDW and I probably will with 5 Christmas parties in the next week. :earseek:

Please don't be discouraged. The New Year is right around the corner and that provides all of us with a fresh start. Enjoy your holiday celebrations and know that come January, you can start anew! :cool1:

Take good care of you, Sharon!

Tracy

P.S. It is soooooo cold here in Ohio too! As a matter of fact, I think I just heard on the radio that there is a Winter Storm Watch for freezing rain and snow tomorrow and Thursday. Man, I miss Florida!!! :sunny:

Hi Sharon,

Its cold here, too!!!! I wasn't ready for this arctic blast! I think you are wise to "hold your own" through the holidays and then hunker down. I hope you find your exercise "Nivana" :) Once you get addicted, you'll never stop (kinda like going to WDW!!!!!!)

Well, the scale had a pleasant surprise for me this morning. I was down to 179.5 - haven't seen that since before Thanksgiving. Now of course today, we received all sorts of cookies and candies here at work as thank you gifts. They are kept right next to me - :guilty: ! i am trying to be good, but it is soooo hard! 3 cookies so far. I am hoping by posting here I'll feel too guilty to eat any more.

Still no exercise this week, but certainly plenty of extra steps :cool1: !

The weather has warmed up and the snow is melting. :earboy2:

P.S. It took me so long to finish this post, but I am doing good avoiding these cookies!!!

I am trying to keep my eating within reason. It is so difficult during the holidays. :guilty: So many unhealthy choices around, plus NO time for cooking or anything. I am trying and that is good enough for me. I know I won't be perfect, but at least if some of my choices are good ones, that is a step in the right direction.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas! I am so looking forward to celebrating the holiday with my family. My DS (7) can't wait for Santa to come!! :earseek: What a truly magical time of the year! I hope it is a blessed holiday for everyone!

Good morning, Sharon,

I am right there with ya WISH sis! Guess what I had for breakfast? Cheesecake! Great way to start off the day, huh? ;) All we can do is the best we can and remember that the New Year is right around the corner.

Have a Merry Christmas, Sharon!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Sharon!!

I hope Santa brings lots of wonderful surprises for you and yours! Maybe even some fat-burning treats. ;) hee hee Enjoy your holiday! The New Year is a head for all of us. ::yes::

Hi Sharon,

I hope your Christmas was wonderful :) Seven is a great age for a "magical Christmas", was he delighted?

Sounds like you have your plan under control. Mine flew out the window Christmas night, but tomorrow is my fresh start. Wish me luck!!!!!

We had a truly wonderful Christmas. The kids loved all their gifts. I received a printer for my digital camera (haven't had time to fool around with that as yet) and a beautiful robe from the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas! :flower1: The women at work bought me a gift certificate to a local spa!! :earseek: I'm looking forward to using that!! :earboy2:

My eating has been awful, my exercise nonexistant. But I have been gearing up to a full return to program. I have promised myself to clean out the pantry and fridge this weekend. I will prepare it for a trip to the store to stock up on program friendly foods. I need to focus on eating more fruit and veggies and less prepared foods. I signed up for the National Body Challenge on Discovery.com and I am hoping that will help to jump start my weight loss. I WILL exercise regularly at Curves and I am looking into joining a local gym that my SIL goes to. Don't know if that will work or not, but I'm going to research it anyhow! Being away from Curves for 3 weeks now, and I definitely can see a difference.

I REALLY want 2005 to be the year that I get fit. I tried so hard last year at this time and then let all my hard effort just slip away. I am recommitted and ready to succeed! :jumping4: I am tired of carrying all these extra pounds around. It just makes me more tired and less happy with my inner self. I am ready to move onward and DOWNward!! :moped: The exercise is the key ingredient that I am missing and I need to make the time for myself to fit that in. I was off to a good start for a few months, but let it slip away this past month. No more excuses!! :guilty: I will return to healthy living!

So that is my story and I 'm sticking to it!!!!! :smooth:

WOO HOO! Another Committed WISHER! Another person I am proud! Now I am starting to feel bad about waiting until after the marathon to get back on my food plan.

Sharon,
You DID make strides in 2004, and in 2005, you will go even further! Remember this is a journey, not a destination! It's what we do along the way is that counts. :moped:
