Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

Well, yesterday was another good one. Woo-Hoo!!!! :cool1: Again, I got 5 plus servings of fruit & veggies and 3 servings of dairy!! The dairy is always a little tuff because I am lactose intolerant, but so far, so good.

Food for the day was:
B- bagel with cream cheese, vanilla yogurt
L- Lean Cuisine cheese lasagna with chicken breast, celery stalks with cream cheese
D- McDs grilled Bacon Ranch Salad with ranch dressing
S- strawberries with whipped cream, orange

Total pts were 25, 1 above target, but I earned 3 APS for my WATP dvd. Yes, That's right, I exercised again yesterday too!! :jumping4: I did the 2 mile WATP. It was the first time I tried it and I enjoyed it. This will be a good alternative for the nights I don't go to Curves! Tonight, I am not sure if I will be able to go because I am unsure what the weather will be. It is snowing right now and it is eventually supposed to change over to ice, then back to snow.............But I feel comfortable because I know I can do a WATP dvd if I am unable to get to Curves. :earboy2:

Okay, here is the part that is making me want to jump for joy! The scale said 182.5 this AM, down from 186 this past weekend!!! :jumping4: I know it is just water weight, but I am SOOOOOO excited to see the scale moving in the right direction and at a good pace to boot!! :smooth: It is really inspiring me to stay OP and exercise, exercise, exercise!! :cheer2: I AM going to make my mini goal!!! I am, I am, I am!!!

Have a great day everyone!!

is always a problem unless I have a

, and those can get old. I am going to do better and use you as a good example! Thanks!

I am on a run here! Food was good again yesterday and I exercised!!! I am 3 for 3 so far this week with the exercise!! :Pinkbounc I am hoping to get to Curves tonight, but the drive in to work was quite eventful. I will only go to Curves if it warms up and some of our ice melts! :earseek: It snowed about 5 inches last night, then switched over to sleet/freezing rain. I was sliding a lot on the way to work - almost hit a telephone pole! :guilty: I am not bothered by driving in the snow, but this morning's commute was a little difficult on my nerves.

Food for Wed was:
B- 1 cup Honey Nut cheerios (no milk)
L - Lean Cuisine beef tips with mushrooms and potatoes, celery stuffed with cream cheese
D- bowl of chix noodle soup, pork loin, corn, scalloped potatoes
S- strawberries w/ whipped cream, blueberry muffin -lowfat

Total points were 24.5 - that is .5 over goal, but I earned APS by doing my 2 mile WATP last evening. No flex points used so far this week.

Today I am feeling very hungry. i am trying to control it and not go overboard. I am assuming it is my "week before TOM, eat everything in sight" hungries. But so far so good. I am also beginning to worry about the weekend. I do very well when I am at work, but weekends are EXTREMELY difficult for me. I have Fridays off, so I will be home for 3 days. I am planning to clean and take down the Christmas tree to keep busy. Anybody have any good ideas/inspiration for me?? :earboy2: The scale was steady at 182.5 this morning and I DON"T want to undo all my hard work by binging on the weekend! HELP!

Well that's the story for today. Thanks for all the support everyone. You guys are great! :grouphug:

Oh gosh! Thank goodness you are alright! All that snow would scare me!

I find weekends are hard for me too. But I know you're focused and you'll get through it with flying colors! Keep up the good work!

sharon--glad you are okay! i hate driving in the snow and ice
weekends are always the worst!!! i always feel like i should be at curves, even though they arent open on sundays :)
be careful if you go tonight!

Hi Sharon,

I'm glad you are safe. I hate driving on ice. Be careful on your way home.

My only suggestion on the weekends is to keep so busy that you don't have time to eat. it is the only thing that works for me.

Keep up the great work. That scale is going DOWN!

Hey everybody! I couldn't get on the DIS yesterday morning. The other two days I was just WAY too busy to get near the computer! I managed to get the Christmas stuff down and packed away this weekend. The laundry is almost caught up and the house is in decent shape. Michelle has a dance competition this weekend. It is the first one this season, so she had practice Friday 5 - 11 pm and Sunday 5:30 - 7:30 pm. I ended up staying for both practices to help out. That meant I didn't get to exercise as much as I wanted to this weekend, but I was on my feet and active, so I think that counts for something!

I did get to Curves on Friday, so I exercised 4 times last week. Better than I was doing previously, but I was really striving for 5 or 6 times last week. This week looks to be VERY crazy schedule wise, but I am still going to try to get as much exercise in as possible.

I had a hard time sticking to my eating plan this weekend. I was a little too busy, so I was eating on the run. That is when I tend to get into trouble. But on the other hand, I walked away from several opportunities to eat when I wasn't really hungry. I stopped and thought before I began shoveling food in. I am proud of that. :cheer2:

This morning, the scale said 182. I am down 4 lbs so far!!! :cool1: I am back on track and I think I should be able to stay OP today. I am hoping that the scale continues to climb downward. I have my clothes with me for Curves, but we will see what happens when I take Michelle to dance tonight. Hopefully the studio owner won't need my help tonight.

Alright, I have to go get some stuff done, but I wanted to stop by here first. I was thinking of all my cyber friends walking yesterday morning. I hope everyone did well and had a great time. Can't wait to hear all about it!! :flower:

Good for you to try to squeeze in that exercise! Your week sounds crazy! Hopefully you'll get through it and get your 5-6 times in this week with no problems!

Onward and downward!

Have a happy Monday!

CONGRATULATIONS SHARON!!!!

You are doing a great job. I am so proud of you. That scale is Goin Down!!!

Keep it up girlfriend!
Beth

Gosh, it sure is easy to stick to my WW plan while i am at work! :Pinkbounc I just need to master this weekend thing and I'll be in smooth :boat: !

Yesterday's food went very well. I didn't get to exercise though yesterday. I decided to get Michelle's dance costumes hemmed for this weekend so that I don't have that hanging over my head. I WILL exercise tonight! Desiree and I have a pact, right!? I also need to sew headbands for one of the costumes for all 9 girls. Hopefully that won't take me too long.

Yesterdays meals were:
B- yogurt
L- Lean Cuisine Chicken Marsala, carrotts and a 100 calorie bag of Cheese Nips (these were surprisingly good)
D- Tacos
S- Kudos M&M bar

Total points 19, 5 under target. But that is okay, because I ate over target this weekend, so it all evens out in the end, right? :smooth: I also got 4 servings of veggies in and two dairy!!

I am feeling confident and sure of myself. I hope I can continue to feel this strong at least for a month or so. It is when I let the blues get hold of me that I lose my determination. That and continued defeat at the SCALE! :jumping4: But not this time! This time, to borrow a line from Beth, that "scale is goin' DOWN!" :earboy2:

Have a great day!

Hi Sharon, Boy I agree with you on the weekend thing! Monday through Friday is a breeze but LOOK OUT Saturday :earseek:

I love your positive affirmations! You CAN continue feeling this strong 'cause your sporting the right 'tude :cool2:

Sundie

Hi Sharon,

You are doing great. You will figure out the weekends, and when you do screw up on the weekends, you make up for it during the week. Keep it up. You are in it for the long haul.

Have a great night,
Beth

Sharon,

You are doing a great job, girl! I love the confidence I am reading in your posts. You will meet all of your goals!

I wish I could figure the weekend thing out too. My problem is that it usually lasts into Tuesday and then I am playing catch up for the rest of the week. We'll figure something out!

Have a great Wednesday!

Hi Sharon!
You are doing SO well!! Eating all of those veggies and getting that exercise in. :jumping4: Four Pounds Down!! :jumping4:
You need weekend help? Remember to use your Flex points over the weekend. That should help you stay out of trouble. 35 points can go a long way. :) Also, since you are at home - brush your teeth! A LOT if you need to! Food always tastes nasty after the clean minty taste in your mouth. That can help. :) Have you tried having some safe snacks around just for the weekend? A tootsie pop is 1 point. What about some sugarless gum? I love some pistachios as well. After grocery shopping, I will make up some little baggies with 1 or 2 points worth of food in it. That really helps when I need to grab something and go!
Keep exercising and making good choices! That scale is going to keep its downward trend! :cheer2:

Well, yesterday did not go well. :guilty: I ate too many points and not healthy foods. I am not happy with myself about it at all!! But I will chalk it up to first day of TOM which was about two weeks late. My cycle often flucuates, but when I am that late, I have noticed my eating goes more haywire than normal. Alright, yesterday is in the past and I can't change it. Today is a new day and I will do better! :cheer2:

I am off to a good start with food today. I think I should do okay with that. Exercise is nonexistant this week. i am just WAY too busy. Michelle's dance competition preparations are taking all my free time. This morning she says to me "Mom, did I forget to mention I have a costume in my dance bag? It needs to be hemmed." Okay, I only need it before tomorrow afternoon when we leave for competition! :earseek: And I didn't sew the headbands yet that I promised for the other 9 girls. That MUST be done tonight! Somehow I will get it all done, but it will have to be at the price of my exercise. :guilty:

I will be at a hotel Friday evening through about 9 PM Sunday for this dance competition. I am promising myself fresh fruit at breakfast (no pastries or croissants!) I will do my best for lunches and dinners, but I know there are not too many food choices at the hotel we are staying at. I am going to try to make good choices, like salad for lunches and lean meats for dinner. I am also going to try to take advantage of the fitness center on Sat and Sun mornings. We shall see how that goes, but I want to at least make the attempt. I just don't want to come home with any of the weight I've already lost back on!! No going backwards Sharon!!

I have also been trying to remember what I look like whenever I have a craving/desire for foods I shouldn't have. You want that donut Sharon or would you rather lose 20 pounds??? If I want to be thin, I have to carry through with my actions. The desire alone is not going to make me thin. I need to abstain from fattening foods and exercise at the same time. That is the ONLY way for me to become thinner. I need to think like that more often, until it becomes a habit!! :jumping4:

Alright, that is it for my ramblings for today. I hope everyone has a nice day and a great weekend. I doubt I will be able to post tomorrow, but I will be checking in whenever I can.

TTFN- Sharon :flower:

Hi Sharon

Good for you bouncing back from a bad food day.
0trampoline.gif

I'm sending pixie dust :wizard: your way to get all that sewing done before the dance competition. Good luck. And good luck to Michelle. I hope it all goes well and you enjoy yourself and your food choices.

Take a deep breath :flower1:

Sundie

Boy are you busy Sharon,

I don't sew. Is this something I will need to learn? Do I need to take a class? Ugh, costumes! Of course, Katie is only 4, so I have a few years, and who knows if she will continue with dance?

Sharon, I know you will get it all done, and you will do your best this weekend. You have a plan, and you will follow it. Good luck to michelle.
Have a great weekend,
Beth

Good luck, Sharon! If you can, grab some safe snacks and throw them into a bag to take along with you. I know it is going to be a tough weekend but do the best you can. Drink lots of water and make the safest choices possible.

Good luck to your daughter!
