The all important answer - DH got me a gift certificate to Dress Barn. :teeth:

I did better today with my healthy living. I went to Curves, ate OP, although I am short in the veggies area again. :rolleyes: But at least I am somewhat back on track.

Tonight I'm off to a parents meeting for DDs Dance Company. DD is actually off to her first "dance". :earseek: She turned 12 yesterday and is in seventh grade. And so it begins! :rolleyes:

Tomorrow is a VERY busy day. DS is supposed to have a soccer game at 8 AM, although that looks like it will be cancelled. It is supposed to rain and SNOW all night. Yes, that's right, it is supposed to snow here tonight. YUCK!!!! Then he has a pizza party at 12:00. DD's BDay party starts at 2:00 PM. I am taking her and 7 other girls to the mall for a scavenger hunt. Then we will have dinner there and then back to our house for a sleepover. I'm not sure how I let her talk me into having 7 girls - I usually like to keep it to about 5. :crazy: So I doubt I will be checking in tomorrow. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Goals:
1) Cheat free - 7/11
2) Exercise - 4/12
3) Veggies - 8/11

Okay, I'm off to my meeting. I think I'll stop for a coffee on the way to warm me up!::yes::

Wow! As the mother of a 11 yr old dd, I want to say... You are BRAVE!! I haven't ventured out and had a sleepover with a group of girls! I am sure everyone will have a blast. I hope you have some nap time planned for Sunday. ;)

What is the scavenger hunt at the mall? I would love to hear more about it.

You are doing great! Totally kicking my butt in the veggie department! Keep up the good job!
 

The scavenger hunt was a huge success!:teeth: What we did was split into two groups. I took one group, the kid's babysitter took the other group. I made a list of free things you could find at the mall - a paper cup, food sample, balloon, sale flyer, perfume sample, job application, credit card application, etc, etc. The hardest one was to find someone who worked at the mall named Michelle (my daughter's name). They had to get an autograph and tell me where she worked. It was really a lot of fun!:tongue:

The girls are playing Cranium right now. They have already watched 1 movie and will probably watch another. I was dozing off watching my movie. :faint: They also just ate cake - I hope they don't get another burst of energy from that! :eek:

Other than the cake, I ate OP today. Didn't get my veggies in, but it was a really tough schedule today, so I forgive myself! ;)

We woke up to about 2 inches of SNOW this morning. Soccer was cancelled, but DD had dance at 9:15 and then we just went and went after that!

That's all for today. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!! Let's hope I get *some* sleep tonight, because Terry, I NEVER nap.

Okay, the Birthday celebrations are all over! It is time for me to get back on track with my healthy living!::yes:: The last 4 days were a total disaster as far as losing weight goes. But I will put it behind me and move forward!:rolleyes:

This week's eating should be okay - I've got no reason to go off plan. The exercise is going to be a problem this week. I have lots going on, changes to the normal schedule........... it will be a real struggle to make it to Curves twice this week, let alone 3 times. I will be happy if I get there 2 times!::yes::

Goals:
1) Cheat free - 10/14
2) exercise - 4/12
3) Veggies - 9/14 :(

The numbers are not looking too pretty this month. :o I need to accept that Nov and Dec are very tough months for me to stick with my healthy living. I will still try, but there are just too many occasions/situations that pull me off course. But that is life and I need to learn to incorporate life into my new healthy living!:smooth:

Look at how wise you are!! I think it is very insightful of you to recognize what challenges you, and work with those challenges. I consider maintaining throughout the holiday season a BIG success!

The holidays are the toughest time of the year isn't it. There are so many events, and so much to do. We will all make slips in the next 2 months, but it is continuing to do our best, and get back OPafter our slips that makes this time different. You will handle these challenges with grace.

Ummmm, I don't suppose you could keep all that white stuff (snow :eek: ) up north, could you?? We haven't had any yet and I really am not looking forward to it. :p

Your daughter's party sounds like it was such fun for the girls! It was a great thing for you to do! I'm sure they'll all remember the good time they had for a very long time! Making good memories with our kids is priceless!

I hope you're feeling good this Tuesday! You've come a long way in the past year and you'll just keep building on your healthy habits in the next year. You're succeeding, Sharon, in becoming a healthier you! Bravo!! :worship:

Glad to hear you remaining so upbeat. You had a great time, indulged a bit and now you are moving on! Good for you. Don't let the Holidays get the best of you. Remember, get plenty of rest, and only take on what you can. Learning to say "I'm sorry, I can't ..." is the best thing you can do for you right now. Over extending leads directly to over eating. Put your best foot forward and do a great job at whatever you decide to do, especially taking care of yourself. I know you can. You are strong and determined.

You know why I really HATE to go off plan??? Because it is SO difficult for me to get back to the straight and narrow!:mad: I ate everything in sight yesterday! NOT a good day for food at all! :rolleyes: But I am back and trying yet again today. I did get my veggies in yesterday, so there was something good about the day!:)

Today, I had goldfish for breakfast (not the healthiest, but pointwise, they really aren't too bad) I just didn't have time this AM and that is all I had here at work to munch on. I had a bowl of chicken noodle soup for lunch, so i did better there! ;) I am not sure about dinner - maybe a hot dog with cheese? and carrots to go with it. We shall see.......

Goals:
1) cheat free - 10/15
2) exercise - 4/12
3) veggies - 10/15

I really need to do better this week to work on my goal numbers!!!:bounce: I am not going to make it to Curves today - babysitter issues. I am going to try to get there tomorrow though!

Gee, I hopped around to everyone else's journals yesterday, but didn't post to mine. I guess it is because I have NOT been good. :o Well, Here I am to report on myself.

I have just not been able to say no to the junk food this week. I can't just walk away. I do good for most of the day and then just fall apart when I get home basically. Yesterday was very good right up to when I went home for dinner. I made hotdogs wrapped in crescent rolls, which we haven't had in about a year. Did I just eat 1? NO Did I eat 2? NO I ate 3! Why do I do this to myself? My weight is now higher than ever - 182! I gain weight by just LOOKING at calories anyhow. I have not been to Curves at all this week because my schedule is all shifted around and I haven't been able to get there. I truly am my own worst enemy!:(

But I am back here posting in my journal, trying yet again to get on track. I had oatmeal for breakfast and 3 8oz glasses of water so far. So once again, I am off to a good start. I will REALLY try to hold it together for the whole day. Thanksgiving is coming and I know that will be another day of off plan eating. I NEED to get it under control TODAY!:bounce:

Goals - NOT good! :mad:
1) cheat free - 10/17
2) exercise - 4/12
3) veggies - 11/15

I did get my veggies in yesterday, so I at least did something good for myself. I need to take that and build upon it for today!

I hear you about the weight thing! UGH! So I, got back on plan today with my healthy breakfast and water drinking and as soon as I'm done on the board, I'm going to da a pilates Session. (Inspiration care of Terry) My butt feels like Jabba the Butt, and my belly feels like jelly. Blech! Even my Fat clothes are getting snug! We can do this, even if it's just today!
