Sharon's Journal -150 here I come!

 Hi Sharon,
I really like your goals for March. I'm sure you can do it ::yes:: . Hope you have a great day.

Hey Sharon! What a great Idea setting montly goals. I would love to set a five pound loss for March, as well. And I hear you about weekends.:p Even though I'm still way better on weekends than I used to be, I could move things along much faster with a little more resolve. You journal has opened my eyes. Now I need to decide how I am going to get a workout in on the weekends! That is my motivation. If I workout, I don't want to ruin it by not taking care of what I'm eating. So, if I exercise, I'm nore likely to stay on Plan. ::yes::

Thanks for the tips Sharon! Hope you have a very :sunny: day!

Keep the Faith!
Tracy

Sharon~
Your goals for March look great! I think I will sit down tonight and come up with a set of my own. I know what you mean about weekends. (WEAKends... I love that, marcia!:teeth: ) If you remember in my journal, I had a less than memorable weekend foodwise. I'm still not sure why I ate that much, but at least I know that weekends are a challenge for me. Maybe, I can figure out why... someday.;)

Keep up the good work Sharon! Have a wonderful day!:sunny:

Hi Sharon!

Thanks for stopping by my journal and sending those encouraging words!

I really like your idea of setting goals for the month. I think I'll have to borrow that idea and come up with a few for myself, if you don't mind.

Keep up the great work! I hope you have a wonderful day! :sunny:

Sharon, you're doing great! I know that 10 pound clippie will be yours very soon!

Your goals for March are good! I like the part where you talk about eating healthy food to get your points, not just staying within your points. ::yes:: I've been known to eat what I shouldn't just because I could fit it into my plan. I know it isn't healthy food but somehow I make it legal. Guess that's why I take my vitamin every day. :p

We've got goals now, Sharon, and meeting those goals will help us stay on track!

Have a great :sunny: day!!

Hi Everyone! :wave2: Super busy day at work, so I'll try to be brief. I have to give credit to Septbride2002 for the idea of goals for the month. I just copied her!:p

Okay, yesterday was a great day. I stayed OP, but now, as I think about it as I type, the foods weren't 100% healthy. I had fries. Made it work with the pts and all, but a poor choice. But I was SOOOOO hungry yesterday. I don't know why? Maybe because I ate so much over the weekend? I'm not sure. I'll have to keep an eye on that pattern, see when I'm super hungry and see if it ends up tying in to something else. Hmm, interesting.

Alright, back on track, no evening snacking and I did exercise! 35 minutes on the *evil* stepper! While I watched AI - "She bangs! She Bangs!...." That makes 3 times this weigh in week! After I do it tonight, it will be 4 times this week! YEAH! And I upped the intensity a little, worked a little harder. I felt really good about the whole thing.

Here's my food for Monday:

100 oz water
B- honey nut cheerios, kudos bar 4 pts
L- fries, KFC chicken strips, yogurt parfait 15 pts
D - Ham (leftovers) 3 pts

Total 22 pts (which is target) I earned 3 APS, but didn't eat them. I think with the fries and chicken strips, that was just fine....

So I ate extra at lunch, not great choices (not the worst either;) ), but I had to stay late at work and then just had leftover ham when I got home (My Mom had the kids and fed them, so its not like I didn't take care of the kiddies! ) But again, fries, KFC Chicken, ham = LOTS of salt!! The scale still said 174.5 this morning. I'm hoping for a miracle for tomorrows official weigh-in!!!:earseek: But, realistically, I'll be lucky if I get it back down to 173. Man this journey is going SLOW!!!!!

Don't know how many journals I'll get to today. I appreciate everyone's support and warm thoughts. I'll be thinking of you guys too!!!

Hi Sharon,

Here's some :wizard: for weigh in tomorrow. You've made some really great changes in your lifestyle. If the scale doesn't cooperate, just get Marcia or Erin to kick it.

Sharon,

:goodvibes Good Luck with weigh in!!! :goodvibes

Sharon, I hope you and the scale had an enjoyable meeting this morning. I know you said there may be a little extra water weight from the salt you took in yesterday, so if the scale was up, a few days of drinking water and eating right will fix you right up! No worries, Sharon - you're on the right track and you're creating healthy eating habits that will last you a lifetime! :sunny:

good morning sharon! how did weigh in go? will i have to be making another trip to your house?

good job getting right back on track after your large lunch monday. sometimes, it just takes a little time to get back in the swing of things after a big weekend. but you did stay within your points. that's definitely a positive ::yes:: . i wouldn't worry too much about what the scale says today, you did have lots of salty foods yesterday, so you could definitely be holding water. not to worry, in the long run, the loss will show itself.

and ok, you not only did 35 minutes on the *evil* stepper, making it to 3 times this week so far, but you upped the intensity! :bounce: keep up the great work on that exercise, you really are doing a great job :)

ok, i will check back with you later after you report in. hope you are doing well

hello Everyone! Work is busy again today, so I am late getting to the journals.
Well weigh-in didn't go as bad as I expected, but it didn't go well either. I weighed in at 173.5 lbs. That is a .5 gain on the week. :( Well, I am still hopeful that it is just water weight from all my salt intake Monday. But it still stinks anyway!!! This is just going SOOOOO slow!
I didn't exercise last night. I got upset with the kids because the house was a mess when I got home and I had spent all weekend cleaning it. I mean, it was worse than normal and it was just very frustrating. I'm gonna call kids soon to remind them to clean up today. I got so disgusted that I just threw the hat in with the exercise. I said I would do it tonight instead. But then my husband got called in to work (at a grocery store) because of a break-in attempt at 4:00 am this morning. When that happens, I can't sleep because I'm nervous. Needless to say, I didn't get any more sleep and I'm very tired today. I will still try to exercise, at least for 20 min, but if I don't do it, I won't beat myself up about it.
The food for yesterday went very well:

100 oz water
B- banana, honey nut cheerios 4 pts
L- carrots, string cheese, 2 kudos bars 5.5 pts
D- Steak 10 pts
S - strawberries with whipped cream 1 pt

Total 20.5 (target 22 pts)

Today is going very well also with the food. If I just get my exercise in too, I'll be doing very well.:smooth:
Have a wonderful day!:sunny:

sharon, i'll be right over to give that stupid thing a talking to, and knock it into shape

i'm sure all the salt is having an effect on it. as long as you stick to your points this week, i'm sure you'll see a nice whoosh next wednesday ::yes::

man those kids and making the house a mess! stinks that they think they can leave it all for mom to deal with, hope they did a better job today

how'd everything work out with dh? is everything okay at the store? how scary. i hope they're doing okay. totally understandable that you'd be up worried because of that. good idea to take it easy today, you need to rest after not getting sleep. don't worry about not getting in the exercise, it's not like you're just blowing it off. if you feel up to it, then go for it. but if not, let your body rest

oh yeah, and i missed most of ai last night since i was watching gilmore girls. problem is, we have directtv, so you have to watch what you're taping. normally, i'd watch ai downstairs and tape gilmore upstairs (only 2 tvs are hooked up to the satellite). but since my grandmother was here, she had taken over the downstairs tv, so i had to flip between the 2. i figured, better to just catch ai on commercials, since they do the whole recap at the end, and then today too. well anyway, yeah, nobody really impressed me. i thought a few of them were just absolutely awful! that red haired guy that did the billy joel song sounded horrendous from the recap i saw. amazing how that happens. how the heck did they get that far??? crazy. i'm looking forward to tonight though, and then finding out who's gonna be in the wild card! don't know if that happens tonight, i hope so though :p

hope your day went well today and that you got some rest! catch ya later :wave2:

Hi Sharon!

Repeat after me..."It is water weight." I'm sure you'll see a nice loss if you stick with your points this week. ::yes::

I can completely identify with the messy house and absent husband. I've got a 5-year-old tornado myself, and DH is prone to working hours that are just weird enough to mess up my plans. I hope everything's fine now...both with the house and your DH. That's scary!

Hope that everything goes smoothly for you today! Feel free to pass over some of those strawberries with cream, if you've got any extras. Strawberries are my favorites, and there haven't been any decent ones around here lately. I swear I was drooling when I read that was your snack! :teeth:

See ya around!

:wave2:

Sharon,
I'm sorry about your bad day. I can see the blow-up comming in my house over how untidy things are. It's like they think I was born to follow them around and clean up the wake of destruction they leave! DS as much as told me that was what my job was! DD just tells me to "get used to it." That makes me hoppin' mad.

Sounds like you are back on track mentally anyway, and that is the hardest first part. Here is some :wizard: to keep you going today! Have a great one!

Keep the Faith!
Tracy

Sharon~
 for you today! I hope that today is a much better day today. You did a great job yesterday especially since you were so tired.

I am struggling with the same thing when it comes to my kids. I just spent an entire day last Friday cleaning the kitchen, living room, and bathroom and by Sunday, you would never know that those rooms had been cleaned. It can be so frustrating at times!

I really hope that today is a wonderful day for you! :sunny:

Attention all Wishers! We are gathering in for a group hug around Sharon. Everyone here? Okay now...... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Feel better? I'm sorry your day didn't go very well. I know how you feel about the clean house - that is one of DH and my constant arguements. He is a slob, augh.

Take it easy today and get some rest. Remember to do something for you - doesn't have to be exercise or diet related - give yourself 20 minutes of alone time - buy a new CD and jam in your car - light a candle and take a long bath - send the kids to the neighbors for awhile and enjoy an hour of alone time in the house. That is your mission today!

~Amanda

Sharon, I do hope today goes better than yesterday! Shania Twain is singing "Up, up, up, can only go up from here!" ;)

I hope all is well with DH and the store - no wonder you couldn't sleep! I was suffering from lack of sleep myself yesterday and it makes the whole day seem longer and tougher to get through!

I hope you found a way to take extra special care of you through it all. If not, then take some time today. Amanda had some great ideas!

 and :sunny: for a better day today!!

Thank you so much Marcia, Tracy(S), Amanda, Doreen, Lovetomy2sams! You guys are so great! It really lifts my spirits to come to my journal and see all this positive support when I'm having a tuff day. :grouphug: Hugs all around! On Me!

So I did great on food again yesterday. I can't figure out why this darn scale won't budge. It held staedy at that 173.5 again this morning. I sure hope there is a big whoosh coming in the next week or so!!:Pinkbounc

I didn't exercise last night. I was carting DD back and forth to dance school in between making dinner and eating and watching AI. It really just didn't fit in to my evening. I am making it a personal goal for today to be sure to exercise tonight!::yes::

I did get some decent sleep last night. Thank you all for your concern - everything with DH is fine. The break-in was unsuccessful, so other than a broken window, no other problems there. I just worry with break-ins because my DH has to go in to the store with the police. What if someone is in there with a gun?! I just can't sleep due to the worry when he goes down there at night like that!:(

here's the low down on my food yesterday

100 oz water
B- banana 2pts
L- corn muffin, carrotts, string cheese 5 pts
D - Italian chicken with broccoli 10 pts
S - kudos bar, peanuts 6 pts

Total 23 pts ( target 22, 1 flex pt)

So I'm over the whole messy house thing. The kids have a babysitter after school on Tues and Thurdays. It's like a free for all while she's there. Ususally DS (6) makes a mess out of one room. This time he tornadoed through 3 rooms!! I just went over the edge. But he cleaned it all up Wed after school, so i was much better last night. ;)
Amanda - I would LOVE 20 min to myself!!! That however is not something that will be happening anytime soon for me.:( I haven't even been taking lunch because it is so hectic here at work. That means I work 10 hours a day for the 4 days I work (usually I have a 35 hr workweek.) Someday when you have your own rugrats you'll appreciate all this craziness! I'm not complaining - I LOVE every minute with my kids! And I could say no to activities, but I don't!;) The time alone will come soon enough when my kids grow up and don't want me anywhere around!!:p For now, I just TRY to enjoy!
Thanks again for everyone's  s and warm thoughts. I truly appreciate it all and all of you!!:Pinkbounc
