Sharing with the DDP

I'm working on planning a trip this upcoming September during free dining and probably upgrading to the DxDP. DH and I will (obviously) be staying on site and his parents will be off site at their timeshare. Is it possible to share some of our meal credits with them? Basically, picking up the tab with credits instead of cash?

This is no longer allowed and is stated clearly in the DDP rules (see below). You can not share with someone not on the DDP. Your room keys will have how many people are in your room (for example 2 A). The waiter will not allow you to order more meals than people showing in your room.

Can I share meals with guests not on the Dining Plan?
No. The Dining Plan cannot be shared with guests who aren't registered as part of your hotel reservation.
