Sharing QSDP between rooms?

Hi there! I friend of mine asked me a question that I don't know the answer to, so I thought I would ask here :). She is planning a trip in a couple of months. She and her husband will be in one room and her son, DIL and their two kids will be in the other room. Can they buy the QSDP for the second room (with the kids) and share between both rooms? Will they be able to order more than 2 adult meals (with alcohol) per transaction?

I know that Disney has allowed sharing of credits on the DxDDP for a while. I also know that QSDP credits are pooled together, so there is no differentiation between an "adult" credit and a "child" credit. But I'm not sure that QSDP credits can be shared. I've searched but didn't find an answer.

Thanks!

Well, I just spoke with a CM today when I was booking 6 rooms and we discussed this. Of course, we didn't discuss QS, but we discussed the standard plan. The CM was extremely forthcoming that our party of 12, for instance, could buy the dining plan for, say, 3 of our 6 rooms, yet we could all "share" it. I would assume QS would be the same.

You should have no problem as long as Disney doesn't come in sometime between now and when you travel and "fix" the system so it sees child credits as child credits.

You will either have to be together when eating or you will need a MB from their room in order to pay with the QSDP.

Thanks! I’ll let her know they can share. I wasn’t sure what to tell her because we haven’t had the DDP (any of them) in years and years and I wasn’t sure what the current policies were.

You can use your QS credits as you wish. Just make sure all adults wanting adult beverages have valid ID. My daughter has had to show ID several times as well as others. Not sure why or how Disney decides, but if your purchasing adult beverages, they can ask for ID.

Right, I am surprised they haven't done this yet. And ya, they could do it at any point I guess.

QS credits have always been pooled. If Disney feels they are losing enough money I assume they will make a change. Man, I would hate to be the poor college program CM that would have to enforce that one!

This means you always have to be with someone from the room with the credits, right? We were talking about doing this but we don't want to eat every meal together.

Either that or have a band from their room. However, if you're eating inside the parks, I think that band has to be scanned into the park too.

One other option, be logged into their MDE for locations that use mobile ordering. You can charge the dining plan and pick up your food without a MB. Having a band from the room with the plan (and knowing the 4 digit pin) would be easiest, though.

The magic band will need to be scanned to gain entrance into the parks. Also the fingerprint will need to match band.
