We have to purchase credits on the DDP for everyone in our party including our super picky 10 y/o daughter who will never eat anything except chicken nuggets. My question is, "can we use her credits for hubby and I, and purchase her meal separately?" Has anyone done this and will the restaurants be angry to give us a separate check for her? I guess that also applies to alcoholic beverages which are not part of the DDP. Do you just pay separately for them? We leave for WDW on April 1st and my mind is spinning!

I'm not sure about the separate check thing, but you can't share dining credits, they are specific to each guest.

This is what I read under frequently asked question:

Can I pay for my child's meal in cash, and use their credit for a meal for me?
If your child is 9 or younger, sorry, child meal entitlements cannot be used for adult meals. If you don’t mind eating a meal from the children’s menu, you can use the child’s credit to purchase one, then eat it yourself. If the child is 10 years old or older, they get adult credits, so the answer is yes.

After reading alot of posts here, it looks as though you would tell the CM how many credits you would be using (they are all placed on your room key) and they would charge you for anything extra.

If I misunderstood, someone please correct me :)

You have to purchase the DDP for everyone in your room, so it's all or nothing. You either have to purchase it for everyone, or leave it off for everyone. The only way to get around it is that if you happen to be traveling with another family that has extra space in their room reservation, you can put her on their reservation. Really though, you buy it for everyone.

i don't think anyone has actually answered your question. The credits will be pooled and they will all be adult credits, so yes, you and hubbyb can use them and you can pay out of pocket for your daughter's chicken nuggets. The restaurants will not have a problem billing you separately for her nuggets as they will be billing you separately for any other extras also, such as alcoholic drinks. YOu can use your daughter's meal credits to use for signature dining, or if you wish to have two TS on any given day!
