Sharing a Meal?

I'm pretty new to all this DDP stuff. But lets say two people were going to the world together on DDP. Now if they both ordered a full meal at a restaurant two credits would be used, right? So would they be allowed to order one big meal to split in order to save a credit?

I asked this question too- and the answer was at most places YES, this is allowed, however, the consensus was that you should tip more since they are serving 2 people.

We always do this, especially at ESPN or Sci Fi. You will not be able to do it at the buffet restaurants for obvious reasons.

My cousin was at WDW in Nov 07. She has had a gastric bypass so can't eat much. She says that she and DH shared meals even at the signature restaurants. Although, when they went the appetizer was included. I'll have to remember that when it comes time to plan our next trip.

I'd plan that 2TS meal early in the trip. If some how the answer is no at your chosen place (things do change) you'll have time to adjust your TS schedule if you don't want to pay OOP later.
