Share Senseo is back!

FYI, My DH ordered these things called eco pads off of ebay and they work great. They are reusable plastic pods that fit the machine. You fill it with your own coffee. He didn't like the Senseo brand and he had a bag of Jamacian Coffee that he loved and it worked great. I think they were $10 for a set of two. Here's a link.

Have not read the thread, but I had a tip of sorts for these machines. The Senseo pods are available by subscription from Amazon. They ship a case of 4 bags at a regular interval, 1 month, every 2 months. The 4 pack if about $13.00 and there is no shipping charge. You can get all 1 flavor or a mix.

The grocery store is iffy on if they will hve them in stock or not. This helps.

There's also a coupon code discount right now

Wow. Senseo as a LOT more varieties through Amazon than they do at the grocery store. When there is a coupon available, they give it automatically with the subscription, plus an extra discount. I don't need $49 of coffee pods, I guess, but might order some of the Kenyan and the Sumatra to try. Dang it though, I placed another ordere earlier today and all togher would have gotten free shipping. Now I'll have to pay 2 shipping chaarges. Oh well, those coffees do sound better tan the dark roast I normally purchase.

Last time I purchased pods, I bought so many to save on shipping and now I have like a year supply of pods :rotfl:

Just to be clear, the pods that fit in the machine that starts with a T fit right? They had some hot chocolate ones at the store today, but I didn't want to buy $5 worth if they didn't fit.

I think I might be too dumb to be a Senseo owners. At least before I drink my coffee so this has potential problems. I got some Senseo packs for cappuccino the other day. I read the instructions and tried it out. Water was running out of the machine all over the place. The top just would not close secure enough. It too me a while, but I figured out I needed to use the 2 cut insert. (It did not say anything about that on the package.) It tasted really bad, but I think it was because of the my mistake. I just didn't feel like starting over so I tossed the cup.

The thing intimidates the heck out of me.

NO, T-DISCS for for Tassimo machines. And K-cups are for Kuerig machines. BOTH OF THOSE WILL NOT FIT. They are plastic cups of a unique shape & size.

You must buy things that specifically say POD. It doesn't matter who makes them, but they must say pod. (Senseo, Home Cafe, Folgers......) Or go one of the "make your own pods" routes.

You'll get the hang of it. I demonstrated Tassimo machines at Target a few times. Me, who rarely drinks coffee. It was funny because I had to make & serve coffee, expresso, cappicino, tea & hot chocolate to people. I've never even drank most of those things myself & here I had to make them & pretend to know what I was doing while trying to work the machine too. lol

Thanks, there was my answer. :thumbsup2 Too bad, the hot chocolate ones looked good! :sad1:

Ok, keeping an eye out for pods. For now I am sticking to Senseo for now.

Did you ever get your email? I swear if you lived close by I would give you mine.

Yes, the Tassimo hot chocolate is good. But we didn't like their coffees enough to buy their machine. Since they have a unique t-disc, you have to buy their coffees.

Most people don't care for Senseo coffee & buy someone elses. We use Folgers pods in our Melitta.

I did finally get the Senseo email. But get this, DH said to get the Senseo Supreme #7832 to be sure his travel mug fits underneath since its an adjustable spout. The Tassimo was impossible to get travel mugs under. Melitta just fits his mug.

So we are replacing our older leaking Melitta (older models took smaller pods) with a newer Senseo Supreme. I bought it from Target & used up some gift cards I had won in a display contest from there.

Haven't decided if we are getting the $15 Senseo for anyone else yet.
