Great update, Jackie! I am sitting here laughing. Looks like it was a fun couple of days at your house!
We have been having a good time. Wait until you see the elf antics for this week.
I so agree with MEK Chelsea is becomming such a youg lady I wasn't even sure that was her in the first picture. Conner is as adorable as always with his creating.
Thank you!
Loving the adventures of Haddon & Ingrid, I don't have elves at my house but I do have two new kittens, I believe they get into more mischief than elves.
I will stick to my elves, thank you! I do think kittens are more mischievious.
Looks like you're all ready for Christmas at your house especially Charles with his red toenails, tell him I got that color too !!
Very festive color!
Too funny on the toenail painting! Your elves are such the pranksters....
Here's my question, is the polish still on Charles's tootsies?
Charles finally got around to taking it off on Saturday.
Wow, I would NEVER have convinced my DH to paint his nails! Fun stuff!!
I was rather surprised that Charles agreed!
What fun little visitors! I'm anxious to hear if they went to the movie with you. We were going to take our 4yo for her first time, but we were all recovering from illness. Blech! Hoping for next weekend!
The elves did come with us to the movies and enjoyed The Princess and the Frog as much as we did!
I hope you are all feeling better soon and get to go this next weekend. It is an awesome movie!
Charles' toenails..what a good sport!
It was a classic moment in elf legend!!!
Just popping over to say good morning and once again proclaim my innocence concerning any idea that the elves might have had in painting the toenails of a nice, normal American man!
But, MeMom, you said...
We have two and a half days left with students. They leave at lunchtime on Thursday, but teachers have to stay until Friday afternoon. I will finally have time to think about the things I need to do/get for our trip, so thankfully I still have next week.
Hurray for only two and a half days. We have three and a half at this point.
You better start thinking soon, your trip will be here before you know it.
Hope you have a good rest of the week at your school. At this stage of the game for elementary kids, it's just crowd control. They are beside themselves with thoughts of Santa, although some of them are questioning his existence. I have a couple of naysayers in this group, but for the most part, it seems like they're still pretty willing to believe. I just use my old stand-by: Santa brings your presents until you stop believing, and then your parents take over the job when you are older. That seems to have worked so far in all the many years I've been saying it. No further questions are asked and both the believers and the non-believers seem satisfied.
Have a good day down there in GA!
It's crowd control here, too. My 6th graders took their final yesterday, and we did our class spelling bee today. I don't really understand why it is necessary to talk at the top of your lungs when you are sitting next to the person, but apparently that is how this group of 6th graders communicates.
We will so be watching a movie tomorrow.
Seventh grade takes their final tomorrow.
Then, we are watching movies in those classes, too.
I keep threatening them with the naughty list, but most of their responses involve things like, "I've been on the naughty list for years."
Middle schoolers have no fear whatsoever.
I like your reasons with the elementary school kids.
Hope your school day is moving quickly!
Thanks to the one who started this Thread....
Merry Christmas!!!
You're welcome.
